Assassin's Creed Shadows4
Mar 23, 2025
The game itself presents practically nothing new. If anything, it feels like a step backwards when compared to previous titles of the series. Setting aside all the "drama" present on the internet, Assassin's Creed Shadows is a poor continuation of the aged series. Animations look bad - stretched, poor, facial expressions are poor. The only decent part about this title is graphics, sights can be quite nice. Everything else is subpar or worse - unfortunately.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard2
Nov 2, 2024
This game – and to call it that is at certain points (sadly) an overstatement – is a failure of the modern times. And a failure to uphold the legacy of Dragon Age franchise. If this was a new title, not a vulture that feasts on a corpse that’s Dragon Age (let’s not fool ourselves here), I’d be more willing to give it somewhat higher score, by 1 or 2. However, as it is now? You’re presented with a title that tries to mimic other, more successful games in gameplay, straying further and further away from it’s Origins. Due to that, you’re left with a bland taste in mouth. When it comes to characters, dialogues often feel either:
A) As if written by AI
B) Preaching due to modern social-political sentiment popular in the Western world (especially the US) As such, you shouldn’t have expectations, any at all, that this will be Dragon Age that you once knew. Long gone is the dark fantasy setting, cruelty portrayed in the world where despite challenges you unite to defeat the big bad, but at a price of sacrifices. I can’t advise to buy this game. I can’t even advise to acquire it through any means at all. It’d be a waste of your free space on the PC, and waste of your bandwidth. This is a rather bland action RPG that tries to boost itself on a franchise and throw some names from it's lore to justify such actions.

The Saboteur8
Oct 31, 2024
An underrated title that presents itself as a bit of a diamond in the rough. At first you might find it just a little clunky, rough around the edges. However if you give it a chance, you'll find that The Saboteur is one of better open world titles of it's type. The black & white filter perfectly represents the mood of occupied France - only specific colors breaking through to signal friends & foes. One of weaker points of the game would be colors that return after you "liberate" a region - though even that part of the game aged with relative grace. Gameplay is somewhat simple, but brings satisfaction. Upgrade system, contraband, sneaking around, sabotaging. All for personal reasons, but they align with the bigger cause. The progatonist isn't some goody-two-shoes that just wants to do the right thing. He is out for blood, for vengeance. And he uses what means he can. That's why he is memorable.

Total War: WARHAMMER III7
Oct 31, 2024
I'm a fan of the Total War: Warhammer series, even though I'm not much into the Warhammer series in other medias (not because I dislike it, I simply never got to it).
The game is good, don't get me wrong. I've played, and still play, plenty of it.
However I felt disappointed. There wasn't much improvement over the second game. The campaign added in the third game is okay, to be honest. There are interesting things to it.
Can't help but feel like the devs insist on disappointing us when it comes to battles however. Especially with trailers that show cannons and such on the walls. This could be so much more than it is. As a game on it's own, I'd give this 8. As the third game of the series? 7 is pulling it a little bit higher - I'd say 6.5 even.

Dragon Age II6
Feb 3, 2024
I'll be honest, Dragon Age II has a lot of issues going for it. I can't say it's a horrible game, but I can't call it good either.
Maps are a big recycling bin. You'll visit the same looking places (even if they're supposedly somewhere else), combat was changed, simplified compared to Origins. There's a new system for companions, instead of approval you either build friendship or rivalry (which feels quite poorly done). On the "flip" side, in my humble opinion, giving most of character answers in dialogues a "personality" was somewhat novel.

Dragon Age: Origins10
Feb 3, 2024
There's plenty that can be said about Dragon Age: Origins. And all of it is positive in my humble opinion. Let's focus on the most important parts then, shall we?
Characters/companions - all of them have their own history, agenda. None are bland, there's driving force behind their actions, history that shaped them to who they are when we meet them. You will feel something to each of them.
Story - starts immediately with "call to adventure" part. Quickly you're introduced to your reason as to why you're out and about, joining Grey Wardens. Shortly after, there's already a culminative point - but it all goes to hell for you. Only after that you embark on your epic journey to build said point again, but this time to win.

Max Payne9
Feb 3, 2024
Let's be honest, Max Payne is a classic. That means we have to take a small correction on it's age. With that out of the way, I can with clear conscience say that Max Payne is a great classic, deserving it's title.

Warcraft III: Reforged0
Dec 17, 2023
I used to play the classic Warcraft III every almost every week. It was a title to which I'd always come back for more. Community was alive, custom maps were being made. People put in place well working bot hosting for lobbies. Reforged was a failure, thoroughly. Game lacked features that the classic version had on release, and it took way too long to reintroduce said features. Blizzard backtracked on promised upgrades, giving us a buggy "upgrade". Good luck playing on old hardware as well - now you are required to download the Reforged version even on your old laptop, if you want to play legal WC3 on classic graphics. Say bye bye to roughly, let's say 1.5GB, you need over 30GB of buggy mess.

Baldur's Gate 310

Larian Studios is at it again, giving us a great game. This time however, they went up and beyond.
There are no weak sides in BG3.
Game made those "small indie studios uwu" (that is biggest companies) panic due to how good the game is - this should be review enough.
