Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom8
Aug 21, 2018
Ratchet & Clank meets Tekken meets Dragon Quest, with the bending from Avatar: The Last Air Bender. I got this on sale for like $9 looking for a distraction while waiting for DQ11 and it has far exceeded that. The story is good, the combat is clunky yet fun, the world is a cell shaded wonderland, and the characters are actually interesting. The only gripe I have is a low frame-rate in the second third of the game during a semi open-world segment. Solid 8/10, glad I got it at such a good price. It's still on sale at the time of writing this review, although after playing it, I'd say that it's still easily worth it at the full $29.99 USD ($39.99 CAD) price tag.

An amazing survival horror experience and a worthy successor to the likes of Clock Tower and Haunting Ground.

Monster Hunter: World6

The low score is due to the fact that you literally have to disconnect your PS4 from the internet to play singleplayer, otherwise you will be forced to either join or create a multiplayer session, it wont let you play offline.

Hidden Agenda7
Nov 6, 2017
Hidden Agenda is essentially a scaled back version of Until Dawn. Though the game runs a bit short at around 2 hours (as little as 45 minutes if you really mess up), it makes up for that with far more endings and alternate scenes than it's predecessor. Basically, they took out the needless walking, removed all except for the most important choices and streamlined the interface (although I marked it down from an 8 to a 7 because of the lack of DualShock4 support). Overall, it is a fun, if sometimes corny, crime drama That will keep you entertained for at least 3 or 4 playthroughs, even more if you play it with friends to see what kind of outcome they get. 7/10 Pros: -Decent Graphics -Better Face Animations -Story Doesn't Drag -Lots Of Alternate Scenes -Multiple Endings (Unlike Until Dawn) Cons: -Playlink -Game Sometimes Changed or Ignored My Choices -A Few Of The Endings Are Just Variations of the Other 3 Endings -One of the Endings Is Rather Abrupt

Final Fantasy Type-08
Nov 20, 2016
When I first saw Type-0, I thought it was just another spin-off action game using the Final Fantasy nane with mission based gameplay. However, when I recently rediscovered it and looked deeper into the gameplay, I realised that this is the most true to form game in the series since Final Fantasy 9. The expansive over world littered with dungeons and discoveries, the fleshed out world that uniquely combines genres, and the heart wrenching story all set a standard that the series' next game (Final Fantasy XV) will have to try hard to beat (though its looking to make good on that so far). My only complaints are some jarring difficulty spikes on the Officer difficulty and some uneven graphics with Character models and effects looking stunning while most of the environments (aside from ones that are most frequently seen) look like they are taken straight from the PSP version. I will definetly revisit Type-0 and look forward to the recently announced follow up; "Type-Next".

Firewatch9
Feb 9, 2016
A true to life tale. Firewatch was one of the most riveting experiences I have ever had in a narrative driven game. The two mains have instant chemistry that carries through to the game's satisfying conclusion. While the game is held back by some minor performance issues and sub-par optimization, you hardly even notice as the game's beautifully painted world and Hank and Delilah's banter shine through. Firewatch is a story that will leave you thinking long after the credits roll and while it seems the game can not please everyone, it will certainly appeal to anyone looking for a good story with an eerie atmosphere.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth10
Feb 2, 2016
Everything snyone could as for from a Digimon game and a JRPG in general. Under the eye candy of the game's flashy attack animations there is a deep and yet easy to grasp battle system that can be likened to the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series. If you love digimon or are even just ab RPG fab, Cyber Sleuth is a MUST HAVE.

Until Dawn10
Aug 25, 2015
Amazing atmosphere with large emphasis on exploration and player choice. Most of the negative reviews I have seen seem to be from people who have no idea what the game is actually like and probably haven't even played it. Choices really do matter in this game, I had two completely different playthroughs with vastly different results.

LEGO Jurassic World6
Jun 12, 2015
While Lego Jurassic World on 3DS is basically a port of the Console/PC game (which is impressive) it cuts out the open world elements, which was my favorite part of the game on PS4. I spent hours exploring Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna and was disappointed that it was cut out on 3DS

LEGO Jurassic World9

Lego Jurassic World is one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a while, there is something about the lego games that just works with everything. I spent hours going off story and just exploring the open world Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna and finding all the little secrets and hidden areas. This game is great for Jurassic Park fans and Lego fans alike!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt10
May 19, 2015
'The Witcher III: Wild Hunt' presents a dark, yet colorful dark fantasy world that, on top of being packaged with an amazing and well grounded story as well as a plethora of side missions and extra content, is a place that is satisfying enough just to exist in and explore. The game's beauty carries over on all platforms, with PC having an expected, though miniscule advantage over other systems, and a visual style that really pulls you into the world. I can't even count the number of times I had to just stop and enjoy the view, especially during the sunset and sunrise over the horizon. Witcher 3 isn't just eye candy, though it is undoubtedly beautiful, but it is a genuinly impressive story driven RPG that isn't afraid to play with your emotions during the 30-40 hour campaign. Along the way there are instances where you are put in the shoes of Geralt's ward Ciri, and while the sudden jump in playstyle can be jarring, I found her sections to be equally as enjoyable as Geralt's romp through the main quest. Gameplay, namely combat, is much improved from The Witcher 2's clunky controls and feels more fluid and satisfying, especially when you take down a paticularily nasty hoard of monsters. In short, The Witcher 3 is an amazing RPG, Open world adventure, and video game in general that should not be missed.

Dying Light5
Jan 31, 2015
A 10/10 until the end. An abysmal difficulty spike towards the end ruins what could have been the perfect zombie game and soils everything that the rest of the game represented. I do not recommend paying full price for this game. Wait for it to be on sale, or prepare to feel cheated in the endgame.
