While Halo: Combat Evolved changed the landscape of console FPS games, Halo 2 popularised online multiplayer for consoles, and changed the world of gaming forever. Campaign was also pretty good.

Rayman Raving Rabbids (2007)9
Apr 23, 2017
Better than Assassin's Creed Unity and For Honor, at least this game actually works. Rayman Raving Rabbids, while different from it's console counterparts, is a very fun and challenging platformer, offering many exciting abilities and fun gameplay. Music is also very well produced, consisting of Rabbids covers of popular tracks that some people have probably heard. Check this game out if you want, even though it's been long forgotten by this point. Easily a hidden gem in my books.

This action masterpiece is finally on PC! I'm happy to report that this version of the game is fantastic, tons of options, runs excellently even at 4K and beyond, and it runs well on older hardware. The game itself is incredibly enjoyable, with virtually perfect controls, stunning art direction and it doesn't take itself too seriously which was a breath of fresh air during its original 2010 release on Xbox 360 (and a terrible PS3 version, then a Wii U version in 2014!). The price on Steam as of this review is $19.99/£14.99, and I'd say it's definitely worth it at that price, or you could wait for a sale if you prefer, but definitely check this game out at some point, especially if you are a fan of hack and slash games, as this is a stellar example of one.

Wolfenstein: The New Order9
Feb 27, 2017
Ever wondered if a developer can combine fast, ridiculous and fun FPS gameplay that feels both classic and modern, with a fantastic, memorable and sometimes emotional story? Well, here's Wolfenstein: The New Order, where MachineGames achieved exactly that. 9/10 (Would be a 10 if it were better optimised, I experienced occasional performance issues and it apparently does not run well on AMD graphics cards.)

The best Fallout game I have ever played and the best RPG I have ever played. Obsidian took everything good about Fallout 3 (Atmosphere, UI, VATS etc.) and used the foundations to create a fantastic, well written story in an immersive new location, and improve upon Fallout 3's faults. I found New Vegas to be the definitive Fallout experience, and every RPG fan needs to experience this near-masterpiece. 9/10 (Loses a point because of bugs)

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare8
Feb 17, 2017
I did not know what to expect when going into Infinite Warfare. All of the hate and controversy surrounding it threw me off. However, I tried to put it aside when playing for the first time, and all I am going to do is be honest. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare absolutely is not worthy of the hate it received upon its reveal. I will agree that the multiplayer does feel fairly lacklustre compared to Black Ops III, it is a nearly identical copy with inferior gameplay, and I honestly did not enjoy the Zombies mode that much. So why have I given this game an 8/10? Because I believe that it has the best CoD campaign in years. The last CoD campaign to truly amaze me was 2008's World at War. Since then, I feel the series has devolved into simply a mindless action series with ever decreasing substance with each entry, but Infinite Warfare has given me new hope for better campaigns in the series. The IW campaign does break the norm when it comes to the series, in minor and major ways. For example, you actually get to choose the missions you go on, you are not necessarily following a linear story progression, you shape the story and make all of the calls. The entire campaign had a strong sci-fi vibe with a surprisingly engaging story and a memorable cast of characters. There are also many missions where you pilot your own ship, and the flight controls are fantastic, with a shocking amount of freedom in movement and even gravity and orientation adjustment. One other area that I feel is often overlooked with Call of Duty games is the soundtrack, and Infinite Warfare's music I found to be phenomenal, a perfect mix of electronic music and 'real' music, and I feel as if it fit strongly with the setting. I could go on for ages talking about what Infinity Ward nailed in the campaign, but I want to keep this review from being too long. I'm going to end this by saying, if you are a sci-fi fan, there is a chance that you may love Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as much as I do. I respect Infinity Ward for standing their ground after the negative response this game recieved, and being able to pull of one of the best single player experiences in the series I have had. I do sometimes enjoy the multiplayer, but it depends on how I feel at the time. TLDR: Mediocre multiplayer, personally didn't like Zombies but you may like it, loved the campaign. 7.5/10 (8 on Metacritic since 7.5 is closer to 8 than 7)

Call of Duty: Black Ops7
Feb 17, 2017
I quite like Black Ops, I don't love it like many do, it isn't one of my favourite entries in the series, but I definitely like it. The campaign is a solid, fun and sometimes thought-provoking experience with great characters and story. The multiplayer is an improvement over World at War and MW2, but it feels fairly similar to most games in the series before it, with some neat additions such as Wager Matches and CoD points (BEFORE THEY WERE MICROTRANSACTIONS IN BO3). Zombies was also a lot of fun, even though I don't play it in newer titles, I can appreciate it here and in World at War. In conclusion, I don't love Black Ops as much as many others do, but I had a good time with it, absolutely one of the better Post-WaW CoDs if you ask me. 7/10

It's a pretty solid Battlefield game, but it is absolutely not the WW1 experience I was looking for. It honestly feels like Battlefield 4 with a WW1 skin and less verticality. The first game is one of the greatest masterpieces in the entire video game industry. This however, is an average sequel. It has none of the magic that made the first game great, straight up copies huge elements from the first game without adding anything that substantially changes the gameplay. This should have been released as an expansion, it doesn't deserve to be called a full sequel at all.

Halo 310

Halo 3. The final main Halo game from Bungie, one of the most anticipated games of all time, and my favourite game of all time. Halo 3 truly is a masterpiece. The marketing promised players that we would 'finish the fight', and that is exactly what the campaign delivered, an epic and fulfilling conclusion to one of the greatest trilogies in fiction. Memorable set pieces, and even emotional moments made one of the greatest campaigns in shooter history. The multiplayer, whether it be ranked or social, was near perfect, the only issue being the fact that you need all of the DLC to play in most of the playlists. Aside from that, the gameplay is perfectly balanced, it never emphasises competition or victory, but encourages you to have fun. The maps are well designed, and compliment the gameplay perfectly. There are a variety of interesting weapons to use, and there are tons of vehicles that all handle in their own unique way, and have their own features. Not to mention, Halo 3 introduced Forge, one of the best map editors in video games, as well as theater, which let you relive the best moments of your experience either in campaign or multiplayer. In addition, playing custom games is truly special, coming up with all sorts of crazy game modes, and playing them with friends, was so much fun, and will stick with many people as some of the best memories they have had in a video game. Halo 3 was a true masterpiece, it will always be the game I hold the closest to my heart. Thanks to Bungie, the creators of the game, for leaving their mark on the gaming community, with a great trilogy of games, and in particular, Halo 3. If you haven't played Halo 3, please get it if you have an Xbox 360, and somehow don't have this game yet. Also, please Microsoft, give us a Halo 3 Anniversary, for Xbox One and Windows 10, give this game the remake it truly deserves. Thank you :)

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim10
Jan 6, 2016
My favourite game of all time so far. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may not be completely perfect, but I have put hundreds of hours into Skyrim and I still continue to discover new locations, quests and I haven't even finished what the DLC has to offer! Not to mention the mods for this game are fantastic. The best thing about Skyrim is the huge open world that, while it may not have the best graphics, looks fantastic in terms of its scale. The gameplay, while simplified from past games, is fantastic and balances out the appeal of the game, it is easy for casual players to learn, while also being complex enough for more hardcore players. Skyrim is a true example of the very best video games of all time, dethroning games such as The Walking Dead, Batman: Arkham City and Super Mario 64, to name a few masterpieces.

My game of the year for 2015. This is a fantastic example of a literally excellent independent video game, one that is filled with soul, dedication and effort. Medal of Honor: Warfighter7
Jan 6, 2016
I went into this game having seen all of the negative reviews and the bad reputation this game has gotten. I decided to play this as it was free for PS plus users on PS3. First, the campaign. It is bad. Warfighter has incredible graphics for the time and the controls are perfect, but the actual missions are horrible. Very linear, uninteresting and disappointingly short in some cases, which is a shame as the story had promise. Alternatively, the multiplayer is fantastic. It is not as fast as Call of Duty, as it offers a slower, more tactical experience, WHICH I LOVE!!! While the campaign missions drove me to insanity, I had genuine fun with the multiplayer. In addition, the soundtrack to this game is one of the best I have ever heard. Overall, MOH: Warfighter is a sadly underrated game that should be praised for its online multiplayer experience, and not its frustrating, boring and straight up disappointing campaign.

This game became free for Xbox Live members, so I decided to give it a try, whoops. I had a terrible first impression, as when I launched the game, it asked if I wanted to purchase an ONLINE PASS which allows for online play and YouTube sharing. The code for the pass is usually included in a NEW COPY OF THE PHYSICAL GAME, but since I got the game digitally, I didn't have a code for the pass! In terms of the game itself, the graphics are fantastic and there are a lot of game modes and customisation options, but the gameplay itself is borderline unplayable! The controls are way too sensitive and there's no way to adjust this! I couldn't play the game to its fullest as it is technically broken!

Destiny8
Aug 31, 2015
While Destiny is technically a quarter of a complete game (as there are 2 expansions with a third upcoming one), it is quite possibly the best unfinished game I have ever played! Pros: The gameplay is rock solid. As this is made by Bungie (the guys behind Halo 1-Reach), the controls feel tight and you are able to do very well in the game, PVP matches especially. The perfect console FPS for those unfamiliar with FPS games on a console. The music is stunningly awesome, in the true senses of the word. All of the tracks fit the tone of the Destiny universe excellently with some very memorable pieces. It's a shame Martin O'Donnell left Bungie after Destiny was released :( Even though there is a lot of repetition, there is quite a lot to do in Destiny. You have the story missions which will take a few hours to beat, there's the Strike Missions, Patrol Missions, Raids and there's the addictive PVP modes that also feature various events at certain times. The game overall is very addictive Cons: While the story missions don't feel like a bore, the plot overall is not well told at all. Destiny is a game with a potentially stunning lore, but the story mode in Destiny doesn't do it justice whatsoever. The writing is also bare bones and the voice acting is bland. Even though Dinklage is going to be replaced by Nolan North (as of this review), he still had one of the most average voices in recent gaming history. The game can get repetitive after a while. Even though the things on offer are incredible fun, eventually the game will become a forced loot grind, which will eventually force you to buy the expansions in order to breathe new life into the game and to keep playing it. Good thing the Taken king comes out soon :D Even though loot collecting can be fun at times, some of the systems related to the loot are horrible, the worst example is with the Cryptarch (who can be found in the tower). If you ask him to decrypt an engram, most of the time you will be given an item that is way below your standards and level. Many people have come to hate the Cryptarch but Bungie will be balancing out the loot system for the Taken King. Overall, Destiny is a stunning game (My personal Game of the Year in 2014), but it does have massive story and repetition issues. If you buy the Destiny Taken King legendary edition, you will get the main game and all of the expansions, including the taken king. So if you are new to Destiny, I recommend getting that when it comes out as that is the best value! 8/10

This game, is terrible, in reality. Counter Strike used to be good, for example, Source, which is the best one. Unfortunately, this game has gone the TF2 route, all about cosmetics, barely about balanced gameplay. Every time i try to play this game, it is awful. Usually, I am able to do reasonably well in online shooters, such as Halo and CoD, however, I get killed every time I encounter someone. I do not know what is wrong with the game, but it is an absolute nuisance! Also, the game is dated as heck! Controls are frustratingly limited, graphics aren't good and there are functions that are in most games today that aren't here! I cannot recommend this game at all, avoid if you like balanced, reasonably good online shooters. That is all.

Forza Horizon9
Mar 21, 2015
Personally, I dislike Gran Turismo (Specifically GT5 (Not to be confused with GTA5)) and have always preferred arcade racers (Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Burnout Paradise etc.), so when I went into Forza Horizon, boy was I surprised. Pros: The setting of Forza Horizon is stunning and unique. No other game (aside from Horizon 2) has the same fantastic atmosphere of being in a racing festival. The feeling is gratifying and atmospheric. Along with the great atmosphere, the visuals are also fantastic to look at. Not quite up to Halo 4's standard, but lighting is great and environments look very good. The actual driving is very nice. Much better than Gran Turismo. The controls are very nice, the scheme actually makes sense and difficulty is generally balanced, even though you can change it. Sound design, unlike Gran Turismo, is great! The right cars have the right amount of auditory aggression to them and its great! There are lots of things to do at Horizon, from races to PR stunts to RACING HELICOPTERS AND PLANES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a lot of variety to the game and you will not run out of races to do. There are lots of cars to buy and choose from. Not too sure how many there are, but there is a good variety of car brands and racing purists will spend ages looking through them. The online modes are actually very surprisingly good. They are generally fun and you can get into some games, despite many people not playing the game anymore. (Possibly because of Horizon 2 being out). Nitpick: Personally, the music is not to my taste and just reminds me what this world has come to. It doesn't affect the game though. In conclusion. Forza Horizon is a fantastic game and is on par with Halo 4 as my 2012 Game of the Year! Darn, Microsoft did well for me in 2012 :D 10/10

Mar 16, 2015
Kill all the racists! Pros: The gameplay represents what First Person Shooters are all about, fast paced action with all sorts of crazy abilities and weapons. Infinite gets this perfectly in addition with decent control. The graphics, while not totally realistic, look fantastic. The lighting is some of the best lighting in all of video games and the art is mesmerizing to look at around every corner. The story that is told in Infinite is incredible. While the plot itself is fairly simple: "Bring us the girl, wipe away the debt", its the interactions and the facial animations that bring the game to life. The voice acting is also very believable and really invested me in the game. There are a few themes that are covered in this game, for example, racism and religion. I felt like these were covered quite well. In fact, because of a racist part in the beginning, my other personal objective was to kill EVERYONE as I believed them all to be racist. BioShock Infinite is one of the best games I have ever played and was definitely my Game of the Year in 2013. It was also the first game I played that I applauded. :D 10/10

Assassin's Creed II9
Mar 11, 2015
After the let down that was Assassin's Creed, when I went into this game, my whole life changed... Pros: The visual style is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTICAL IN EVERY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The art direction made me feel as if I really was in 1400s Italy and really immersed me in the game. The story, unlike the first game, is actually very well told! In the future, the story escalates and picks up from where the first game left off and gets quite exciting as we meet new main characters. Also, the story in the past is a massive improvement, a very likeable main character and a well told revenge story definitely made me invested in finishing this game. There is enough content in the game to keep you playing. There is a bit more variety in what you can do. There are more collectibles to find, secrets to unlock, more varied side missions and a generally vast open world! ACII retains the same excellent controls from the first game and feel like a natural fit for this game. Cons: Even though I didn't mention this in my review of the first game, the combat can get stale after a while and you will go out of your way to avoid fighting whenever possible. Overall, ACII is a massive improvement of the first game and I would definitely recommend it to EVERYONE EVAR!!! 9/10

Assassin's Creed4
Mar 11, 2015
The first entry of one of the biggest franchises in recent years. How is it? Ughh.... Pros: For an early PS3/360 game, the visuals are pretty good. The lighting is dynamic and excellent and the game world generally has a decent scope. The Free-flowing controls are fantastic. Assassin's Creed accomplishes everything it set out to do in terms of making you feel like a parkour master assassin (if that makes any sense) Cons: The story is a real let down. The story in the future is barely explained to us and leaves you with many questions in regards to the setup. In addition, the story in the past is also very generic. A simple, your power has been taken, earn your rights to get it back story is very boringly told and I never felt like it escalated at any point. The gameplay design is awful. Every chapter (Or memory block as the game calls it) is the same. Travel here, jump off some buildings, help some random guy who is in trouble with guards, kill a dude and then you are done! I never felt like there was any variety. Even though the graphics are nice, I personally noticed some frame rate drops. Every now and again, I would notice slow down, which really took away from the experience. There are NO interesting characters. I didn't care for Altair or anything he wanted to do. To me, he felt like a character with no personality, IN A GAME WHERE THE CHARACTER NEEDS A PERSONALITY!!!! Overall, Assassin's Creed is a very ambitious game and succeeds in some areas, but everywhere else, it falls flat on its face. 4/10

The Sims 48
Feb 19, 2015
The most controversial game in the series. I can see why, but does it deserve a user score of 3.7? Pros: The core Sims gameplay is still as excellent as ever. I had the time of my life playing it and it really brought back memories of playing The Sims 3 The UI has been improved for better. Everything is more organized and is less "In your face" than it has been in previous games There is a heavy emphasis on emotions and The Sims has always been about keeping your Sims happy and well taken care of, and the new focus has made the game a lot more interesting. The build mode has been improved, you can now easily resize walls and you can even pick up entire rooms! There are plenty of customization options to choose from as well Cons: The new Create a Sim mode has some interesting aspects, for example, dragging and dropping certain features to alter them, but you can only choose 3 main traits, there are less customization options, Create a Style is gone and you can no longer create toddlers (How much of a big deal is that to anyone anyway?) The open world aspect from The Sims 3 is gone. Now it is a bland and generic world map, with the inability to create new lots, you only get 3 empty ones and a few houses to choose from. If you want to travel a lot, instead of driving or running there, you have to sit through a loading screen, EVEN IF YOU WANT TO GO ACROSS THE F*****G STREET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Overall, I had a lot of fun with The Sims 4 and many things have been improved, but all of the innovations made in The Sims 3 have been ignored and it feels like a greatly improved version of The Sims 2. 7/10 (Original Score) 8/10 (COS I HAD FUN WIV IT BESIDES LACK OF OPEN VURLDZ)

Halo 410
Feb 16, 2015
The most under-appreciated game in the ****?????? Pros: Halo 4 is without a doubt the best looking game on the Xbox 360. The lighting is beautiful, the art direction is astounding and the tone created by the graphics perfectly matches the setting, single or multiplayer. In the campaign, the cutscenes are absolutely mind blowing to watch, as the motion capture and animations are spot on. The campaign is without a doubt the best in the series. There is a strong bond between Chief and Cortana that you don't see as clearly in the previous games. After playing (most of) Halo: CE and Halo 3 (Not Halo 2 as I do not have an original Xbox or Xbox One), I was slightly underwhelmed by the campaign modes as they just consisted of general gameplay and didn't expand the story. I felt like 343 industries got it right with Halo 4. The sound design is awesome. I complimented CE Anniversary for having excellent sound design and it is just as good here. The weapons sound killer and the soundtrack is to die for. Multiplayer has always been good in the Halo series, and like most things in Halo 4, the multiplayer is a huge evolution. While retaining classic game modes such as slayer, the multiplayer is expanded on with improved features. It is closer to Call of Duty rather than Halo, but it is still a lot of fun. There is a new mode called "Spartan Ops", which is an episodic co-operative or solo mode in which you take on 5 relatively short missions for each episodes which take place after the main campaign and while they are short, there are 10 episodes (5 + 5 as a free DLC pack). Overall, I think this is the strongest Halo game in the series and is truly underrated by fans. A stunning masterpiece. 10/10

Sniper Elite V28
Jan 30, 2015
A criminally underrated game in my opinion, this game is an under appreciated classic. Pros: Unlike a lot of "realistic" shooters nowadays such as Battlefield and Medal of Honor, this game actually has a decent story! It is set near the end of World War 2, an American Sniper named Karl Fairburne is set out to prevent a nuclear disaster (avoiding as many spoilers as I can). The visuals are awesome, but slightly bland. In some levels, the lighting effects are absolutely gorgeous and the same goes for the shadows. I really felt like it immersed me in the game and really fit the tone perfectly. The sniping is heavenly awesome. On harder difficulties, you have to fight against wind movement, forcing you to perfectly align your shots. When you get a kill, it feels really satisfying and rewards you with a breathtaking, yet gruesome kill-cam which shows you where you hit your target. The narration is perfect. Whether it be during cutscenes in between missions or in the mission briefing, it is well acted and swiftly progresses the story forward. Cons: There is a multiplayer, but it isn't even worth mentioning. From my experience, it is horrible. I don't think that the gameplay style of Sniper Elite v2 fits a multiplayer atmosphere. Overall, I think that Sniper Elite V2 is a fantastic WW2 shooter and it really immersed me from the beginning. Multiplayer is horrible though. Maybe its better in Sniper Elite 3. 9/10

Flower isn't necessarily a game, but it is definitely worth playing by all means. Pros: The visuals look astounding. It may not be the most impressive game in terms of graphics, but the art direction is phenomenal. The soundtrack is stunning. It is very peaceful, calm and it fits the tone of the game perfectly. The controls may seem a bit fiddly at first, but when you get used to it, the control is really smooth and swift. Flower feels like a silent film, but it has less emphasis on the story and more on the relaxing gameplay. I did feel like there was a message Flower was trying to get across, but i'll leave that to you to find out (or look up on the internet). Cons (More like a drawback for some people): Aside from possibly wanting to find all the secrets and gain all trophies, there is no real replay value for Flower. Overall, Flower is one of the purest games I have ever played. I would say it is more of an experience rather than a fully fledged game, but it is still worth picking up. 10/10

Saints Row 27
Jan 16, 2015
There was a free weekend for the entire Saints Row franchise and I already had Sr3 and 4, so I decided to give this one a go! Pros: The open world is huge and a joy to explore, there are lots of places you can walk into, lots of activities for you to do and its just generally impressive. The characters might not be the best, but in my opinion, they are really memorable and (mostly) live on to be classics in the series. There is a mod called "Gentleman in the row", which fixes a lot of the problems mentioned below: Cons: The controls are bottom line HORRIBLE. When walking and in combat, its OK, however when driving, they are absolutely abysmal and slippery, much worse than in GTA IV. The graphics, even for the time, are not very good. Character models look dated and textures are fairly weak. Yes, the shadows are good, but very basic. Even though I am not one to fuss over graphics, Saints Row 2 does look very dated in comparison to other games and even later entries in the series. The frame rate is all over the place. Sometimes, it is really high, then its really low. Explain that???? Overall, Saints Row 2 is a very good game, however, PC issues really bring it down. I recommend downloading the gentleman of the row mod to fix some of these issues as it really makes the game feel a lot better. The game gets an extra point for the gameplay after installing the mod. Original Score: 6/10 Score with mod: 7/10

Call of Duty: Ghosts7
Jan 13, 2015
After hearing all of the mixed opinions related to this game, I was a bit unsure about whether I would like this game, however, I am ready to give an opinion. Pros: EXCELLENT Controls Maintains 60fps at all times Interesting Setting Fun new multiplayer modes Squads mode Cons: Single Player campaign suffers from traditional CoD "tropes" Multiplayer maps are too big Extinction was disappointing Graphics seem slightly dated All in all, Ghosts has many problems, but it is only just good enough for a recommendation from me. 7/10

This was the first game I played on PS3 and I have to say, it's magnificent! Pros: Stunning Visuals Excellent Soundtrack Desert Slide Section Cons: Puzzle Elements are poorly implemented and are unnecessary Journey is a really compelling game that will go through video game history, but I wish thatgamecompany made it more of an experience than an actual game. 8/10

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare10

This, is without a single doubt, the greatest FPS, CoD and PS3 game ever made. Pros: The gameplay is stunning, the controls are extremely responsive and I never felt frustrated with them at any time. The Single Player campaign is, to put it bluntly, epic. The story was very interesting, the characters were memorable and there were some awesome sequences that I will remember forever. The Multiplayer, even now, is spectacular and is definitely the best half of the game. There are so many game modes to choose from and so many people to play with. This game will be 8 years old this year and it is still not old! Cons (Very Minor): As the game came out in 2007, the graphics don't exactly look stunning today, the game does look dated on PS3. I am sure this is the same case with the 360 and PC versions. Overall, this is the best game I have played on the PS3 and if you have or if you are going to get a PS3 or 360, definitely give this game a go! 10/10 (Because who cares about graphics? (Everyone))

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary7
Dec 16, 2014
This was my first Xbox 360 game, and I have to say, its pretty good! Pros: The controls work absolutely perfectly. Every input to the controller works exactly the way you would expect it to. The levels are generally very well designed, I never felt as if I was stuck on a linear path being forced to do everything I do. The sound design (specifically for the weapons) is awesome! It may sound ridiculous, but every time I fire guns at my enemies, I feel like I'm the terminator jumping through a window, killing all the bad guys and feeling awesome in the process! Cons: While the graphics are a huge step up from the original, they aren't that good, I never saw them as revolutionary or even remotely hardware pushing, which admittedly is what I expect from an HD remake of a classic game. While I did enjoy the multiplayer package that comes with this game, it just feels like a rehash from Halo: Reach. It has the same engine, the achievements are tied in to Halo: Reach and it really disappointed me that the game didn't have a remastered multiplayer that stayed true to the original game. The difficulty later on spikes up WAY high, left right and centre, I kept dying and it wasn't obvious what the cause of death was. Overall, I feel like Halo: Anniversary is a very good game with perfect control, but it is quite dated, the difficulty is not balanced and it just didn't feel very polished in my opinion. 7/10

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U10
Dec 16, 2014
I just got this game today after MONTHS of hype, and I have to **** definitely was worth the wait!. Pros: Obvious thing first, the graphics are gorgeous! The game runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second (most of the time, there is lag during online), the colours are extremely vibrant and the animations are masterful! The gameplay and controls are really easy to pick up and learn, if you have played Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii or the 3DS version of this game, you will master the Wii U version without stress. The amount of fighters and stages has increased diversely from Brawl and even has more characters than the 3DS version. All of the stages are really fun to brawl on and there isn't a single stage I didn't like. There are tons of new challenges to complete, more trophies and many familiar game modes (Classic, events, stadium, all-stars etc.) return, some with slightly new spins and others in their original former glory! One of the main new modes in the game is 8-player smash, which allows you to play with up to 7 other friends or CPU controlled characters, I personally found 8 player smash to be a lot of fun, I haven't had the chance to play with friends yet, but I simply cannot wait to do so! Cons: Not all of the new modes are awesome, I personally found the Smash Tour mode to be tedious and I personally wouldn't want to sink any of my time into it. Overall, Super Smash Bros for Wii U is a fantastic experience, it is by far the best game of 2014 (The only other game from 2014 i have played is FIFA 15, and who would give that a GOTY award?) and because of this game alone, there is absolutely NO reason the Wii U shouldn't be selling well. 10/10 (The problems aren't even worth mentioning as they are so minute and don't take away from the experience)
