If any review sites give this less than a 95% then they are corrupt and holding out for paid placements. The game gives incredible length for your money, revamps the original game by adding massive improvements and feels unique.

Pokemon Sword2

I was really disappointed with the animations, the music and the length of the game. For a $80 game I don't see the amount of polish as it should be. I am not even annoyed by the culling of pokemon.

I think this game had a lot going for it but it messed up in the end. When you first start playing the idea of sending out mechs of missions is fun, new and exciting and you are able to build out your squad from downed mechs but what eventually happens is that you do the same tactics in every mission and there is no way around it. You find a spot of forest, put all your guys in it, let the enemy come to you while you shoot at them. Since you get a defensive bonus in the forest there is no reason not to do this and it is the only thing that grants any real bonuses that make it worthwhile. So in my option they could of done a bit more like xcom remake and make a lot more cover over the map (like ruined cities) or they could of made no/little forest cover and made it more mobile tactical.

While I think the idea of this software is great the changes from VX to MV are not significant enough to warrant a $70 price tag. It feels like the developers either rushed out the product or did not spend enough time improving things. What I don't understand that It seems like they spent the time reaching out to developers to made scripts prior to its release, a lot of those scripts should be basic functions in the application and by making us require these plugins it means that we have a lesser experience from it. They should of incorporated these plugins into the program or hired said scripters to aid in their development. -Include functionality that most basic plugins have -Remove hard coded functions (fixed movement speed, event size etc) -have more default assets -have a proper android / ios / html5 exporter -Have a proper resource manager I really hope that they actually learn from this release and patch it with the added features because I think that if they actually take the time and overhaul a lot of the stuff in it that this program can be really awesome.

The story is interesting, it's the only thing that will keep you invested. The moral choice system is lame and could use some work. The gameplay is incredibly boooring and anyone who really needs good gameplay will probably get bored of this game real quick.

I wanted this game to be good but the gameplay is just lackluster. It felt like a prototype for warhammer pc game. They throw you in and don't really explain much. I spent 4 levels before I figured out how to setup a base right for the beta. Most of the units are similar I find. The humans all have super slow units, the good are also super slow and spend most of the game playing hide and go seek while you build your powerful unit that can't attack in front of itself and is weaker than the other units. The beta seem to be the only race with a proper kit, they have fast units, good rounded hp and can attack and move at the same time. It just felt unpolished and more aggravating than fun.

Great game, maybe not best of all time but still great. The good Fun, Intense combat. Interesting idea of a moral system and great music. The story ends on a good note and has multiple hidden modes that can expand the game's life. The meh Characters are kinda lackluster at time, the puzzles are not challenging at all and some of the story is forced. Even all this I would suggest people to play it because it is worth the amount of time it takes and the music will keep playing in your head a long time after you forget about the plotline.

Endless Space5

Good intentions but a bad game. The game looks pretty but certain UI elements work against itself with ships not being clickable at times or unresponsive. The AI is pretty aggressive and can do stuff that you cant such as move ships in your area but you can't do the same (no notice of war prior to move) and high levels of micromanagement that doesn't give much feedback than the popup notifications at end of turn. The Bad -Combat falls on its face with a interface that has good intentions but ends up being difficult to use, best fleet trumps all type of battle style. -Needing to go into each planet to change its custom setting, change planet type or remove negative traits. -When research or building is done and queue is empty the game will not do anything to notify you. -Moons are mostly useless -Influence is useless -Luxury Resources are a bit confusing -Mood (purple buildings) have such a huge impact on the production, either they are building slow or everyone is 100% happy. This needs more of a happy medium. The good: -Being able to remove negative planet traits was nifty idea.

This game is simple yet complex in design and has not been done before with full effect. It is a crazy fun party game (up to nine people!) that should be played.

Far Cry 47

It feels like a reskin of Far Cry 3 with a very thin story. The game has a lot taken from the series before it and those things help give the game a score of 7 but it falls on it's face in so many other things. - The scenery looks nice but only certain ledges are scalable with a hook mechanic - Weapon shops seem very limited, needing to play for over a day just to unlock the next level **** seems pretty excessive, especially when there are so many guys available and I will most likely never try - Crafting feels tacked on and unable to have weapon slots until you run around the map looking for animals seems like an odd time waster as it could of been used in other methods like boosting skills, perks etc - Skills are pretty weak compared to far cry 3, you only get two skill trees with 6 rows and 4 columns in each (24 in each tree) and both of them are not very good. You need to do a lot of quests to unlock the second half of the skill rows too. In far cry 3 at the end of the game you felt like a god jumping on multiple people, throwing knives, sneaking around really close without being noticed but this game you feel so limited. Overall the game is not bad it just doesn't seem like a full package when put beside it's predecessors, it will entertain you but you will have a lot more fun with it if you forget the story and become your own character.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies6

I find this game highly overrated. It has a mediocre story, no character progression which is compounded by your party is nobodies so they are robots following you, and the camera is awful. Monsters spawn on map can be seen as both a novel idea because battles can be avoided or a huge annoyance because some of the spawn right in front of you or spawn/wander around when you have the menu open which will allow them to enter battle when the menu closes. Which brings me to the camera. The world is 3d but doesn't rotate 360 because to save on detail some characters are 2d sprites (think Ragnarok online) this becomes a huge pain in certain dungeons with high walls so you can actually see where you are going well (Prime example Quarantomb) and also compounded by the fact that monsters spawn right in front of you. Since the camera is also zoomed close to the ground it is difficult to avoid certain mobs. Which brings me to map design, the maps are actually pretty nice but they seemed to be designed for monsters not being spawned on map. Some monsters take up a whole walkway and can't be avoided and can be quite annoying to deal with. Few other points -The characters classes are alright and it is nice that there are so many different ones -Being able to change classes is great but it comes a bit too late in my opinion -The world is well crafted and nice to have alchemy pickups -Alchemy is a bit annoying but is fixed a bit better with a lot of recipes being available more readily. The alchemy pot should be at EVERY inn though or with you. All in all I think this is just a cry for the old times instead of a push to improve. I love old RPGs like this, DQ8 is one of my top fav RPGs but I feel that DQ9 was a small misstep.
