Star Fox10

A wonderful game if you like rail shooters, arcade games, the star fox franchise or are looking for a game to play a few quick rounds, then come back to it later. The graphics are absolutely stunning for an early-life Switch 2 title, the orchestrated soundtrack is amazing and the voice acting is by far not as bad as some people make you think. Yes, it's inferior to the original, but that's a very high bar. A decent multiplayer mode and new challenges that, especially the expert ones, can be pretty tough add replayability and push the time to complete around the 40 hours mark. Pro:
+ Graphics
+ Soundtrack
+ Gameplay
+ Actually new playable content
+ Fun new gimmicks and lore Cons:
- Voice acting of the original was better, with exceptions (e.g. Rob64 is better here)
- It's Star Fox, if you played one of the originals, you know all the content except the new challenges by heart
- Multiplayer mode has the usual Nintendo limitations
- No cute fox on foot mode

Cheap, soulless money grabbing slob. The whole game feels like a quick-done money grab with no soul or substance. The missions, levels, graphics and music are boring. The thing that is the worst are the translations though. As an example: German translations are a wild mixture of Spanish, English and German with so many mistakes and inconsistencies in them, that most certainly no human made these. It also feels like there was zero Q/A and that this game was released untested as quick as possible, to squeeze some money out of unsuspecting Bubble Bobble fans. Hands off, definitely skip this one.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy0

Some games do age well, others do not. Crash Bandicoot most certainly does not. Especially the first part of the trilogy is from a time where lack of content was simply made up for by a very high difficulty. And whilst you die a lot from your own mistakes and bad timing, the worst part is that you very often die for something that was simply not your fault, such as the fixed camera making precise jumps close to impossible or you having killed an enemy or broke a crate that you need to advance. I guess the level making this the most obvious is "The high road", where you already have a hard time to do precise jumps due to the camera behind your back, but it also contains sections where you need a certain enemy to advance. An enemy you can kill. And if you die often enough, the game now gives you a protective mask, which makes things worse because not only does that not help with falling down, it also makes killing these enemies you need by accident a lot more likely. Everybody who loved the original Crash Bandicoot games and wants to go through the frustration again: it's a great port with lovely graphics and attention paid to detail. Everybody else: hands off that game. It is frustrating, very repetitive in level design, graphics and music and you simply notice that it was from the very early time of 3d jump and runs. You can get better ones for the Swich easily.

Got used to the controls after 2 days, now they feel like a great thing, with minor exceptions. If you like Star Fox games or rail shooters, give it a go and give the controls a couple of hours, you'll enjoy a great game afterwards and finally mastering them feels very rewarding.
