Warcraft III: Reforged0
Jul 20, 2023
Even after all the cut-content, Blizzard has kept outright lies on the Reforged website still advertising 4+ hours of cut-scenes and is using footage from Blizzcon (that isn't even in the game) to sell the game. This false-advertising is outright disgusting and I believe is enough to justify giving this game a 0 score. The ONE new cutscene that actually did make it into the game (Illidan vs Arthas) was outsourced to a studio in Malaysia and the end result is terribly animated, with terrible models, has no music, and everything is static (hair and boot fur don't move). The old cutscenes from 20 years ago are better. P.S. Don't even get me started on features that were removed from the original!

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers10
Nov 23, 2020
Shadowbringers is, in my experience, without a doubt the greatest multiplayer story ever told through a game. I've played many Final Fantasy games, but Shadowbringers is my favourite of all. It puts forth the greatest depth accompanied by dark, interesting themes, that are tackled with an expert finesse. Like it's predecessors, Shadowbringers is truly a game upon itself rather than a simple expansion. A story that deserves to be experienced by all, but unfortunately may only be experienced by few, as it is necessary to work your way through the other fantastic FFXIV expansions before arriving at Shadowbringers. Shadowbringers is a masterpiece that brings a level of worldbuilding that is a rarity in JRPGs, and unrivaled in the MMORPG genre.

Death Stranding10

Kojima has made fetch quests interesting. Death Stranding isn't a game I would recommend to everyone, but it had its hooks in me and I found myself wanting to play it whenever I wasn't. I guess you could say I was addicted to the dopamine hits of delivery just like a MULE, but the then the story turned out to be a unique masterpiece. If you have the patience, and you've liked the past storytelling to Kojima games, don't miss this masterpiece.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward10
Sep 2, 2020
It took a long time to reach this point, but the quality of the game soared and as I continued playing it just got better and better. Now that Heavensward is included in the free version of FFXIV there is no reason a Final Fantasy fan shouldn't give it a try and experience one of the best Final Fantasy stories of the modern era.

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn9
Sep 2, 2020
Now available in it's entirety for free, along with the first expansion, the absolutely incredible Heavensward. While the base game is not as interesting as it's expansions, it sets the stage for the best Final Fantasy of the modern era. Once you reach Heavensward it is truly a gamechanger.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition4
Sep 2, 2020
The charm of the original has been stripped bare from this remaster. Do yourself a favour and download the new free version of FFXIV instead. Crystal Chronicles had its flaws when it launched on Nintendo's gamecube, but the co-op was unforgettably fun. Setting out together, making progress together, and returning to towns to see families and growth has been stripped away. You won't even get a letter after helping a friend in their world and if you plan to play in a group of four, you will be playing the same dungeons four times over to make progress. Even simple things like continuing to help your friend progress in their world is unavailable, and instead after each multiplayer session the lobby needs to be closed and remade. I was very excited for this remaster, but disappointed with the souless imitation we recieved. FFXIV truly is the last bastion of quality Final Fantasy.

Anthem9

Fantastic and unique game that requires an SSD. Pros: Fun Gameplay (both combat and flying feel great!) Rich Story and Characters Incredibly unique vertical open world level design Beautiful Graphics Co-op Free updates planned (unlike destiny, etc.) Cons: There are many loading screens, and without an SSD they can **** up time. Teleports players if someone flies ahead during story missions (this isn't a problem in freeplay, and most likely exists so party members do not miss curcial plot points). Conclusion: Don't believe the hate behind this game, but it is best played with a group of friends who won't mind taking breaks to immerse themselves in the story between missions.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT6
Feb 9, 2018
As a big fan of the original Dissidia games for PSP this is a huge letdown. The single player mode is terrible, both in terms of story and how you progress (need to grind offline battles to earn points to progress). The 8 boss fights in the game range from good design, to ridiculously broken without using specific characters (you'll have to learn to play ranged if you want to be able to survive on a few of them). Overall the game feels like a blander version of previous entries- with a lot of content and features being forgotten in the copy paste job that took place. This game is only worth playing because it keeps the great and unique core gameplay from the original dissidias and brings it to a home console. However it is dumbed down and only scratches the surface in comparison to those titles; it could have been so much more.

Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire10

TL;DR: Amazing expansion! Pros: Mount exploration and mounts themselves are incredibly well done! Amazing maps! Story is fantastic! Minor Cons: Replayability of story and other things (Why isn't the sous chef minigame a replayable adventure? Why does the campaign award all skins on one playthrough, leaving limited rewards for multiple playthroughs- unlike HoT which was great with rewarding Auric/Chak weps, etc.). While there are plenty of events, there is a lack of event chains and event achievements. Mastery exp is too easily gained (Down from 13.5mil to complete a track in HoT, to 2.5mil to complete a track in PoF? Need a happy medium). Once again, I overall loved this expansion and highly recommend it!
