Teen Wolf: Season 29
Sep 11, 2012
This is actually a good supernatural teen drama. Teen Wolf, the movie, wasn't particularly interesting, but this TV spin-off is actually entertaining with great dramatic twists. The show is reasonably well-cast (and of course all terribly good looking). I hope the story lines hold up over time. Like a traditional teen drama, it has romantic conflicts, popular kids, geeks, outcasts and parents who just don't understand. Plus werewolves and monsters. All in all, this isn't a bad combination.

Perception: Season 19

I am really enjoying this show. Yes, it feels a bit ridiculous that an unmedicated, brilliant schizophrenic could be so focused to solve crimes, but hey - this is fiction, right? If you get over that, the method that the show reveals real and imaginary characters in McCormack's world is interesting. The mysteries to be solved are fun to watch and holds my attention.

The Newsroom: Season 17
Sep 11, 2012
This show is and entertaining hour. However, it is a bit unbelievable as Jeff Daniel's character plays a Republican that doesn't seem to embrace any Republican ideals. It's not my favorite Aaron Sorkin show, but I hope it holds up over time. The female characters feel more ridiculous (not in good way) than usual and, in general, are not particularly appealing or approachable. They are more like silly caricatures with few (if any) redeeming properties.

Go On: Season 18
Sep 11, 2012
I had low expectations for this show since Matthew Perry didn't do particularly well in shows post-Friends. However, I was delightfully surprised when I saw Go On. It has an appealing concept with crazy supporting characters that will likely have fun ways to continue to make me laugh. This shows promise if they keep up the writing.

The New Normal: Season 19
Sep 11, 2012
This is a fun show that is appealing to many audiences. The characters are bigger than life, particularly Ellen Barkin who plays a hilariously articulate bigot. My only fear is that the characters will continue to be stereotypical, and not grow with more interesting nuances. That said, there are many one liners that are quite amusing and will likely be quotable moments in the future.

Suits: Season 210
Sep 11, 2012
This is one of my favorite summer shows! Season 2 is better than season 1 as the characters, particularly Harvey Specter, is more approachable as he isn't always right and perfect. It has well-developed characters, and interesting plot twists. It is both dramatic and comedic at times. The last episode of this season is the best!
