Great story, graphics and immersive world, but has some extremely annoying forced LARP features, such as slow animations for picking stuff up and doing things (yeah, immersive at first, but gets really boring on the long run watching your character to use 10 seconds to pick up a bottle of rum), disabling running at certain places just to waste time, very tedious semi-interactive cut scenes where all you have to do is to press forward for five minutes. Why not just have a real cut scene or let the player control the character? I understand that some people want to LARP a cowboy, but normal people are not interested in that. They just want to play the game. Also lots of stupid progression based locked stuff. Why allow players to earn money if you don't allow them to buy anything with it. And still in 2023 contains lots of annoying bugs, e.g. changing your weaponry randomly and not allowing you access your horse to get the right ones back. Without LARPing and bugs a solid 10/10

Diablo II: Resurrected4
Jan 4, 2022
The game itself is just what it should be: pure Diablo II experience as it was back in the 2000s. However, what drives me crazy is ****, and this is the only reason I don't give this game a solid 9/10. The **** client keeps crashing constantly. Literally after every click it goes to "not responding" state despite of me reinstalling it four times. If I want to play D2R, getting it run may take up to 10-15 minutes due to this annoying Malware client that has to run on the background in order for D2R to run. This problem seems to be very rare, but for those who have it, it's very real and totally ruins all Blizzard games.

Beautiful and fun to roam around for a couple of evenings, but soon you realize what RDO is all about. It's like GTA Online but you're stuck on freemode in a fully populated server. Some of the worst annoyances are: 1. Hackers that blow you up repeatedly and the only option is to ALT-F4 because the game does not allow you to open the menus during the death/respawn animation --> impossible to report or change server 2. Grinding for gold, a resource that can be only obtained by paying real money or doing very boring missions or chasing daily objectives for dozens of hours. EVERYTHING is beyond rank or gold wall. You cannot even purchase a hat to your character in the beginning. 3. Bugs. Textures go randombly blurry and the game crashes. NPC spawning into the air. Certain markers and critical NPCs missing from the map randomly. Missions not starting. Getting stuck inside the ground. I've now played this five times and I've had at least five game breaking bugs. 4. Griefing. There are no private lobbies, so prepare to get griefed and your trader missions etc. ruined. Really fun when a rank 200 player with maximum upgrades, best weapons and stuff hunts you down for the fifth time while you're at rank 8. 5. Stupid mechanics. (A) Lots of randomly spawning events that you can't help to trigger: if your daily is to clear hideouts, good luck finding them. (B) Stuff stowed on horses disappear randomly. (C) Wanna set a camp where you are? Not possible. (D) Want to fast travel to a location to avoid griefing? Not directly possible, and you have to remember the map by heart to do it as you cannot see it in the fast travel menu. (E) Want to rob trains or NPC? Not possible as in the single player. (F) Want to get maximum reward from missions? Do not do them effectively, but instead do them as slow as possible. The same **** mechanics as in GTA Online contact missions. You should be rewarded by doing stuff fast or in a certain way (e.g. sneaky, no kills etc), but no. RDO is a perfect example of how to not make an open world MMO. Incredible potential flushed down the toilet. I'm glad that I only paid 5 dollars of this game.

Okay, at first I must say that all the 10/10 and 1/10 or 0/10 reviews are utter garbage 10/10 means that the game is perfect and it cannot be improved (which is certainly false), and 0/10 means that the game is so bad you couldn't even get it running, or you quit playing it after 10 minutes because you hated it so much (which makes you pretty much ineligible for writing a review because you didn't play it: you should write a support ticket instead or get a refund). The reality is that this game is about average as it is now. It suffers from bugs and performance issues that will be surely fixed, and it has a bad AI, clumsy menus and pretty unrealistic physics. All of these are things that can be still fixed in the future patches. As an RPG this game is not very good and offers very limited choices, but then again, the CRPG genre is no longer alive at all. However, as a GTA-like action game with some RPG-ish elements such as limited character development and some dialogue, it's pretty decent. Nonetheless, the game looks beautiful. I'd say after some patches and DLC this could be easily a strong 8/10. I was really hoping for a co-op mode but nah, maybe later.

Heroes of Might & Magic III - HD Edition1
Dec 11, 2020
This release has absolutely no purpose. No extension packs that made HoMM III great in the first place, no bug fixes and very minor enhancement to the graphics. If Ubisoft had included the official extensions to this game, this could be worth the buy, but as it is, there is no reason to buy this unless you want to play it on some strange platforms such as iPad. Just get the original HoMM III with all expansions, install the free HD+ mod and voilà. You have a better game than this in every possible way.

One of the best games ever created. So much replayability and very addictive. I strongly recommend installing the HD+ mod (free). Fixes tons of bugs on newer operating systems and fixes some crucial balance issues and bugs, as well as offers the possibility to play turns simultaneoulsy in multiplayer!

As a long-time hardcore Diablo II fan I was very disappointed with Diablo III. My friends told me to try PoE, and it was surely better than Diablo III, but I still didn't get too excited. PoE looks nice but is overcrowded with visual effects to my taste. Playing some classes is just like looking at constant fireworks, and it's quite difficult to actually realize what is happening on the screen. Also I'm not that big fan of the crafting system. Is it really necessary to have hundreds of different ingredients? I think not. The character development is also very complicated. Of course it's a great to have lots of options, but you practically have to google your build to not go horribly wrong (well, same issue exists in most hack&slash shallow RPGs, but still...) Anyway, worth a play through especially because it's a free game. However I don't feel the same need to grind thousand hours for gear as I did with Diablo II, so something is still missing to make this game actually addictive. Maybe I'm just too old.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind9
Dec 11, 2020
The best game of the saga. Despite of its flaws, such as poor stealth mechanics, at the time this game was released the world was incredibly immersive. Still, when I hear the music I always remember my countless adventures in Morrowind. People keep complaining about the combat mechanics, but they tend to forget that this is an RPG. It's your character's skill that matters, not yours! If you want to hit at level 1, build a proper character for it and watch out for your fatique levels. PROS + absolutely no hand-holding (compass) + no map-click fast travel + items in the world do not scale with your level! + monsters scale only limitedly (mostly in form of spawning new types of monsters, but you can still encounter some of the high level enemies if you go to the wrong places) + lots of variety in locations, very immersive + dialogue system (yes, some repetition but stil better than in later ES) + a real RPG + music! CONS - stealth mechanics - super easy to go **** OP if you know what to do

Sid Meier's Civilization V9
Dec 11, 2020
Best Civ in my opinion, although I find it hard to compare this with Civ II (especially the Test of Time), which was awesome at its time. To get everything out of this game, you absolutely have to have the DLCs, which combined are not too cheap. Diplomacy could have a bit more depth and there could be more varied victory conditions, and also the civ bonuses and social policies should be better balanced (can be fixed with mods1), but still it's a great game.

When I got this game, we played with my two friends 30 hours straight (with maybe 5 hours of sleep between). That's a sign of an addictive game. I would say this game offered all the stuff I always wanted to have in Minecraft: epic boss fights, variety of weapons, very tall world, different game modes, a huge variety of enemies and stuff. So, for the first playthrough there was a lot to discover. However, the pattern got quite clear at some point: mine ores -> make pickaxe that is able to mine better ores for better gear --> mine better ores --> make again a better pickaxe and gear ... and repeat this loop dozens of times. This began to feel a little pointless at some point, and after we completed the game once, we really didn't feel to do it again. Very fun game on the first playthrough, but I think it does not have as much replayability as some other sandbox games do. Anyway, considering its cheap prize, definitely worth the bucks.

This game is incredibly hard to review, but considering the amount of time I have spent with this game I have to give it a solid 9/10. If you have creativity and good friends to play with, this game is just incredibly fun. More than once I have realized it's 5:00 AM and I'm still building something. As a plain survival game, I'd give this a 7/10 due to the lack of end-game content. Very fun and also a bit spooky at first as you don't know what to expect, but once you get geared up and infinite source of food, there's not that much to do. So, I'll give 8/10. Add one if you want to build stuff and subtract one if you just want to roam around looting stuff. PROS + Almost infinite replayability + Constant updates with new content CONS - You have seen it all quite fast - Survival loses its point after you get geared up (not much so-called end game content)

Grand Theft Auto V9

One of the best single player experiences ever. Fun, beautiful and entertaining. It's very rare that I feel kinda sad after completing a game 100% because it's over. My opinion on GTA Online is more mixed, however. It used to be entertaining to do heists and stuff with friends, but recently the patches have turned GTA online way too futuristic and messy with stealth tanks, flying motorcycles, orbital cannons etc. Also, all new additions must be unlocked by ridiculous amounts of money, real or ingame. Thus, all the nice content that is being added, requires easily 40 hours of playing the best paying activities to unlock even partly. Additionally, GTA Online on PC is full of hackers that Rockstar just cannot get rid of. Thus the Online is best when played with friends in a private session. A problem with Online is also that it's really bloated. Even if you don't play it, it takes about 110 gigabytes of your hard disk space. I strongly recommend the single player if you never played it. If you're interested in GTA Online, that train has already left the station. I can't even imagine how frustrating it would be now to start from level 1 with all the other players flying around in their O' Mark II's.

Elite: Dangerous9
Aug 23, 2020
The best space game out there. Looks great and sounds even better. Although many people claim Elite is a grind fest, IT REALLY IS NOT, unless of course you have the grind mentality and can't enjoy the game without the absolutely best ship with maximum engineering. The fact is, that you can do practically anything with not so expensive ships as well, if you're a good player and know how to fight. The game does not force you to do anything. You're absolutely free from the second you start the game. If you choose to grind, it's your own fault. I gave 8.5/10 rounded to 9. The 1.5 points missing because of poor design in certain areas. The game should really have an in-game way to search galaxy-wide for commodities and their prices, stations and what they're bying/selling/offering, plot neutron routes, set routes by using waypoints, display near star types in the left hand side panel. At the moment, there are third party tools for all of this, but it involves alt-tabbing every now and then which is a bit immersion ruining and tedious. Additionally, the powerplay should be redesigned and made more dynamic. Should these be implemented and fixed, this game would be 10/10. The best thing is, that this game keeps evolving. The development has been very slow, but it does happen.

Control5
Aug 28, 2019
This game is beautiful if you have the hardware to run it. Too bad you spend your time inside a restricted grayish-blueish facility. However, when you get some variation to that, it's always awesome. I'd say this game's strongest points are artistic and mysterious level design at least in some parts, sound design and overall graphics and effects. Controls are adequate but a bit clunky. In the end, however, it's just another Remedy games with recurring Remedy problems: +First: very low or zero replayability (well, death rally had replayability for sure, but the games after that didn't, except maybe Max Payne for some nostalgia). Once you have completed this game, you can practically just sell it. Quantum Break theoretically had replayability, but the game was so painful that I don't really want to do it again just to see the movie clips. +Second: linearity. You are just running from place to another in a restricted area. +Third: recycled ideas. The ability to manipulate environment has been around since Max Payne. In the later games this same concept is just reused in a slightly different ways. Sure it looks cool and is fun for a while, but it gets very soon repetitive and can't carry the whole game. +Fourth: exclusivity to stores no one wants to use. +Fifth: boss fights. +Sixth: average storyline. +Seventh: performance issues on PC. +Eighth: Forced over-the-shoulder mode with no possibility to go first person. Also no stealth. All fights are practically shoot & hide. Btw. if you didn't notice it already, 90% of the 10/10 reviews seem to be user score manipulation. Lots of accounts have been created just to give full score to this game.
