I really wanted to like this game, I really did. Sadly, my favorite things out of the demo are the narrative voice (great!) and music (great!). Actually, the deal-breaker for me was the movement controls. I found them very un-intuitive for a PC player. Since the map is at an angle, the WASD controls were just not clicking for me, and I kept falling off.
The artwork is wonderful, and I have mentioned - the music is superb. But the frustration with the controls made me not want to buy the full game. I do hope its funner on a console.

Tried the demo, but could not get past the first puzzle. While the music is great, the artwork is adorable, and I would really like to play it...there is no tutorial, so I cannot tell whether it's generally not working, or I'm not seeing something obvious.
Will not be purchasing the full copy, unfortunately, although I had high hopes for it.

Interesting story, great graphics, and extreme **** about 30 minutes. Untill you are met with impossible controls (if you play on PC), which will leave you climbing and leaping over lava pits, just to be knocked down over and over and over and over, until you are pissed off enough to slam your keyboard and walk away. Piss poo adaptation of a console twitch game, which could have been a great RPG. Biggest disappointment this year.

I got this game for me and my son, who loves to play games with me, but cannot read just yet. I was truly disappointed, that there were no voices in the game, just text boxes. What was worse, the text was flashing too quickly, that I couldn't even finish reading them.
I found the simple controls to be ridiculously confusing, and the combat - well after the first combat, I gave up. Its a cute idea, that's poorly executed, and apparently made by someone who neither has kids, nor has been around any in a long time.

I have just bought the game, and have not even played it, and I am already annoyed to the point of just forgetting. Had I known that I am required to be logged into a Games for Windows live account, then spent 15 minutes jumping through hoops, to create some account somewhere that I don't even want, AFTER paying for the game, I wouldn't have bought the game. Horrible experience. Screw you, Microsoft.

I did not read the books, so some of the story seemed a bit confusing. While the game seems to have some interesting choices and mechanics, and leveling itself is pretty fun (reminded me of the old wizardries), the process itself is tedious. The first area that you are in, you can easily come across a large pack of overpowered NPCs, that one-shot you. In some areas, a level 1 creature is across the "street" from a lev 40 one. To advance past the first main story line, I had to grind my way through whatever boards and rats i could find, just to advance two levels. After two hours of this, I got bored. I found the graphics lacking, the interface - something to get used to. Interesting group controls, lacking story, and slow painful grind. I would not recommend this game in its current state.
