High scores saying things like "2025's greatest survival horror!!!" have to be paid reviews, devs, friends of devs, etc. Because this game is a complete slog. All of the comments from the low score are very accurate. I suggest reading the bad reviews because those are the ones that are telling the truth. Boring, repetitive, terrible combat, no map, breakable weapons, not even slightly scary, etc. etc.

Absolutely loving it! Huge fan of the original and am having a blast with the new version. Some bugs but like all new games, patches get released. A new game releasing with bugs is nothing new. Haters gonna hate.

Having an absolute BLAST with this. Trust the majority of critic reviews because this is a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 and the really low scores are from review bombers that haven't even played the game and were never going to. Metacritic should require account linking in order to give a review/score, to prove the person actually owns the game.

Not really a whole lot to say. I love the old aesthetics, but the game isn't even slightly creepy. People talk about how it feels like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, but I really don't get any vibes from those games at at. It has an inventory screen and there are puzzles and monsters. Those are the only similarities. The creepy factor does not exit whatsoever here, and the game is just kinda all around boring. Nothing exciting or interesting ever happens.

Absolutely fantastic game. Don't believe the negative reviews. Most of their comments highly suggest they never even played it. Launch bugs have also all been patched long ago.

Just what we didn't need. Another asymmetrical multiplayer game. Zzzzzzzzzzz. Completely wasted opportunity for a new single player game in the Evil Dead franchise. Yes, this has a single player mode but the main focus is multiplayer. It should have been the other way around with the main focus being a single player campaign.

Nice visuals but it's all extremely boring & repetitive with simplistic gameplay/combat.
