Characters are really in depth with a lot of layers, nobody is cookie cutter or black & white, kind of hard to root for anyone because everyone is wrong in their own way, but man sometimes you really feel bad for both of the main characters even though they're both kind of in the wrong. A movie that shows you good people can do bad things or be tricked into making mistakes.
Boring, nothing interesting, nothing new, actress is good in everything she plays & ending is satisfying, those are the only real highlights of this movie.
Politics & Criminals, yawn, only 2 interesting things, women from different backgrounds banding together for a goal, which is in dozens of movies these days, & "The Secret" which I won't ruin in the review, but that was the most interesting thing about the movie.
A little twist on thriller/suspense by having supernatural sprinkled in, very entertaining to watch the downward spiral of possible insanity of thinking the house is being haunted by ghosts.
I like the plot of having an insane asylum patient be his fake girlfriend, that's a pretty unique story right off the bat, but TV Movie level acting & scenes, not to mention random things are thrown in like him owing a debt & being a jailbird & his parents bailing him out acting like it's normal to get arrested, very strange & unrealistic scenes.
You can predict where the story is going throughout the film but that doesn't make it any less entertaining to see it unfold, & the ending wrapping everything up nicely makes the movie that much better, worth the watch for thriller/drama lovers out there.
A lot of uncomfortable scenes, a somewhat confusing plot, not so interesting story or characters overall, they kept acting like she was a prodigy, yet she didn't do anything particularly special, a forced narrative of her being amazing without backing it up.
Really great movie about mundane life, but entertaining non the less, very well written, good acting, interesting stories going on in each family members life, very real & believable, you felt connected to the characters, it was like watching a neighbors life happen before you.
Honestly don't get the hate towards this movie, was neat that the main character (MGK) was basically on a bus the entire movie. Random side plots go on that confused me but I guess it was just a way to showcase he's a caretaker & missed his daughter? Movie had my attention throughout entire film & was waiting to see what would happen next.
Meh, I don't mind slow or mundane movies, but this movie had almost nothing interesting going on it for me to enjoy it. Characters were meh, story was meh, scenes for meh, pretty much the only highlight was the setting.
A lot of maturity & patience to watch a movie like this, covers a very touchy subject in a very real & emotional manner. Don't let the title fool you, it's not about church or religion, the movie just takes place almost entirely inside of a church, I'm an atheist & would recommend this movie to anyone who likes sad or touching movies.
Really great movie, one of those "must watch" type of movies. Great acting & segments, iconic moments, screams early 2000's & is a great throwback for us older folks.
Found the 2nd half of the movie much more interesting than the first half, but I understand the first bit had to happen for the 2nd bit, I just got really bored through the beginning, but it re-gained my interest & attention when things "went south". Entertaining movie overall, surprised how high the reviews are though, didn't think it was anything THAT amazing or special, worth checking out if you're interested, I guess.
Awesome to see BlackBerry get some recognition as the grandfather of smartphones, this movie shows the rise & fall of BlackBerry, might not sound too interesting but I enjoyed this more than The Social Network or Jobs. I did a fact check after the movie & most of what they showed was accurate besides the exaggeration of some people's personalities which is common when real things make it to the big screen for entertainment. Overall, an accurate & neat movie about real people & incidents.
This movie kept my attention throughout the whole thing, I was excited to see what would happen next & who is who as the film went on. A lot of cool aspects like the comic book scenes that occur when she's taking mental notes of what to jot down for her writing later, the "bad guys" were all intriguing & some of the scenes are extremely memorable, would recommend this movie to anyone, unless you're a billionaire.
Liked it a lot less than the other Sonic films, Jim Carrey was the only highlight of this film, double the fun !!! Shadow could have been made better, Knuckles was a more funny film/show, I know Shadow is the dark sad one, but it didn't make for an interesting character. I feel like a lot of scenes or things were missing that were showcased a lot in the other films like the home dynamic with Donut Lord.
Really cool film!!! Protagonist sort of becomes the villain of the story. This movie covers very heavy topics like terrorism & gun violence, the emotions were believable, the story/premise is unique & interesting, would recommend this film to practically anyone. Also neat to see a US film that doesn't have the "happy ending" sort of situation which plagues most movies here in the states.
Yeah I can see why reviews are not great for this film, there's nothing interesting about this other than the fact that they are lawn gnomes, which that gimmick wears off in about 20minutes, there's not enough funny lines, or cool scenes to make it a good film, it's overall just boring or brain rot you; would put on for children to watch, so many better films out there, even for kids.
I actually really enjoyed this movie, Pete Davidson was constantly funny through out, you end up kind of feeling bad for his character even though he's a "bad guy". Also, depicts what drugs & alcohol do to your life, even if you're not using them, you will become a loser if you associate yourself with losers.
Decent movie, nothing too crazy or special about it in my opinion, but wasn't boring or bad, had most of my attention throughout & learned some things about how photos used to be developed, interesting movie overall.
A strange movie that will make you not want to date, it's about a woman who wants to be a victim so badly that she keeps putting herself in situations where bad things can happen & seemingly wants bad things to happen to her so she can blame someone, the ending was extremely frustrating to watch.
Honestly, one of the best movies I've ever seen & was not expecting that going into it. A sad, serious, cute story about a shapeshifter that gets deeper & deeper as the movie goes on, the story is amazing, main characters are loveable & a neat twist with medieval mixed with modern technology civilization. A must watch for anyone!
Honestly one of my favorite movies, not sure why it seems so hated compared to the other Shrek's, I've never watched a movie 3 times in a row until this movie, it was that amazing to me.
This movie had no right being as good as it was, every scene was near perfect, never thought this would become one of my favorite movies going into it. Highly recommend this movie to anyone, so many cool references to old fairy tales & nursey rhymes, they use a bunch of references to a lot of Disney movies like DreamWorks loves to do, very fun movie!
Was skeptical about a sequel because there's a trend of them not being as good as the original, but somehow, they pull it off flawlessly, I'd even go as far as to say this one is better than the first in a lot of ways.
Thought I was going to like this movie a lot more, so rented it. Disappointing.. so many better robot films out there, doesn't even come close to the heights of Ron Gone Wrong or Big Hero 6..
I had a lot of expectations coming into this movie I guess from everyone raving about it, so I used Google play points to rent it, my luck it came out on Hulu the next day, anyway, i was disappointed, definitely had some interesting moments, but overall didn't feel that different or scary or suspenseful like so many better films out there.
Was an okay movie, expected it to be a lot better honestly. One thing I liked is that it wasn't the typical love story, fall in love with someone dying trope that so many other sick type movies have done, they were just friends & forced to hang out with each other.
Actress did a really good job portraying someone on the spectrum, was an interesting movie premise of her wanting to show her script so bad she broke the rules but showcased she can do anything anyone else can do, I can certainly see this not being everyone's cup of tea for a movie, it's not flashy with action scenes, it's not a comedy trying to be funny, it's just about a girl on the spectrum who is overcoming something. Not sad, not funny, just a movie about life.
I actually really enjoyed this movie & found it funny throughout, the point of it is meant to be cringey teenie bopper no life skills on her cellphone, which I guess could trigger some people, but she's loveable at the end of the day no matter how annoying she is.
This is one of those movies just about life & how different people live, but it wasn't boring or dull, the dialogue & characters were funny & I was laughing throughout even though I didn't necessary like any of them. Did a good job showcasing why the pandemic took so much longer in the US vs other countries because nobody was following the distance rule or masks seriously here like they should've been.
Meh seems to be the agreed upon opinion of this movie, it isn't good, but it isn't bad, lol. It has a neat story that which has been done before in similar fashion in other movies, but there are a few unique ideas sprinkled throughout, overall, the movie wasn't exciting enough, or funny enough, or cool enough, it just seemed like it was short of being something good in every way shape & form.
Such an amazing movie for so many reasons. For starters this is the first movie I've seen that actually had 2 languages used in it throughout. The movie is heartfelt & real, wasn't some fake movie love, happy story, was real emotions with what felt like real people & you just had a window into their lives & get to watch how things unfold.
They switched up a lot while staying true the series, was nice to see different scenery & fight scenes. The top-down scene was amazing, duel was a nice touch, the stairs.. the beginning fight in a Japanese Museum room/hotel, the blind assassin, so many cool & new tropes in this one while still remaining same old John Wick, I enjoyed this one a lot.
I've watched this movie twice (years apart) & enjoyed it both times, I think it's underrated as far as cheap thrills/spooky story movies go. A Haunted Camera is a unique premise & the photographs being "clues" & having powers connected to the people in them is cool! A con is I wish certain people got more screen time & the scares could've been amped up a little.
I liked the premise, overall though most of the movie wasn't enjoyable & it seemed like they just wanted John Cena to say outrageously gross things for cheap laughs & to be edgy, could have been a lot better in a lot of ways.
I wish the dialogue wasn't so trashy & bad, a lot of the scenes with the cat were them trying to be edgy & stereotypical. Cats are more loving than dogs irl, this stigma needs to stop. Overall, what a neat idea for a film, a serial killer who suffers from mental illness & not taking medication, he doesn't want to hurt people but ends up doing so to cope with life & his loneliness, underneath it trying to be funny constantly the story/main character is actually really deep & Matt Ryan does a good job playing the calm innocent character.
This movie dragged on & I found it more annoying than enjoyable, this first one was better for sure. I liked the idea of the wife being more involved in this one, unfortunately she was cringe in most scenes even more so than Samual Jackson.
I found it humorous overall, one of those buddy films where the 2 characters end up in a love/hate relationship. Action scenes & story were fine enough for a casual watch, nothing special about this movie, but not a bad watch.
