At the beginning I really liked the game. But when I progressed it quickly became a second job to farm tons of items necessary to improve weapons, characters or getting other characters. Drop chances are pretty low. Many quests, including the main quest can not be accomplished as a solo player. I still play on normal. There are almost no players left on normal since almost all player progressed to heavy and almost no new player enter the game. So I am stuck at normal and can't progress. I consider to stop playing.

Honkai Star Rail is a RPG published by Hoyoverse. The same publisher as for Genshin Impact. It is a so called gacha game, which also is a service game. The game can be played on mobile or PC. The game has a main quest and many side quests in a science fiction setting. Daily progress is capped. So to avoid that players may finish the main quest to fast. As more the player progresses, more items and time are needed to continue playing. Fights are round based. RNG plays a big role especially in boss fights. But also in getting items. There is a battle pass to buy, and also other items. The game is pay to progress. In regards of items and pulls HSR is more generous than other games. With regular characters it is difficulty to win boss fights at higher levels. It is a science to combine the right relicts, lighcones and more to get the best stats for a character. The graphics are nice. I like the characters and the voice acting. I like the main story and some side quests. At the beginning the game made a lot of fun. With higher levels the game feels more and more like a second job.

It is a not so bad casual game. Unfortunately I didn't really had fun with it. The game is very repetitive. There was no localisation of the voice acting. The micro transactions are crazy. You can't skip cut scenes, or exit training etc.. Also some of the cut scenes or posters seems to be made to educate the players.

A game that I've really enjoyed playing. Unfortunately the game lag sometimes.

I like the gameplay, the look and feel of the game. It is still a beta. So there are a few bugs. The login into the publishers account must be done every time starting the game. The German localisation is incomplete. There are many lags. Some quests are not shown on the map or the compass. I recommend to sign up to the publishers account enabling cross save.
