Godzilla Minus One5

Firstly, not a godzilla fan(what is that even)? But this movie is average at best. The only thing to note was that the effects were OK, and i guess that a plus cause they had a small budget. BUT the rest is drivel. The plot? It will take me less than 20 seconds to explain the "plot". To call this a "story" is an insult to the concept. Acting was largely ****, with the lead actor being a total amateur. Character development is wafer thin, with all the characters being super chums with like 2 or 3 scenes of them actually engaging with each other. I guess ppl think its refreshing, due to the absence of hollywood cheese but it's still terribly contrived in its seriousness and emotional tone. It's not that is really bad, its just kind of boring and lame.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice2

2 words....CASH GRAB. Its the sequel no one ever wanted or needed. Everything and everyone is old, tired, reused and rehashed. Keaton performance is a shadow of the original, and everyone else is just bland and annoying. The plot is clunky and things just happen and end.

Under the Skin6
Jul 22, 2024
Lets be frank, this is more an art house type film. Cinematography and score is good though, which strongly adds to the atmosphere and vibe. It's thought provoking and its general mystery can be compelling, but ultimately its rather boring in terms of story and events.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga3
Jul 22, 2024
Well in short, everything that made the old movie good is utterly missing here. Vastly different cinematography, weak script, lacking atmosphere/vibe and too many crappy green screen cg scenes. Looks like the movie had a quarter of the budget than the previous one. Everything just feels cheaper and dumber. Chris Hemsworth's character is an annoying bozo. Anna Joy Taylor just does what she does best and just stares the **** of of every scene with those big alien eyes. Film literally ends with narrative exposition dump. Very nearly just stopped watching halfway though cause it was so obvious it was ****.

The Killer6

Decent watch. Not as smart or deep as as its trying to be. The logic behind the premise doesn't really make sense if u think about it. Also the story lacks a certain edge or twist, nothing really memorable or interesting here.

I just had to find out for myself who directed and wrote this film. To make a mental note that whoever it was has to be to most untalented moronic **** in the film industry. Scott Beck and Bryan Woods ladies and gentlemen, remember those names and stay the **** away. Virtually every scene you will be going, "this is dumb" or "why did he do that?" or "That was lame." or "FFS kill me now." Adam Driver in his most soulless and wooden performance EVER. It just boggles the mind that people this bad at story telling are making movies.

Underwater5

This movie is in a nutshell "aliens/monsters underwater". Its watchable, the sets and cgi look decent, the atmosphere is ok. Zero character development and story just rushes through. Predictable and not really scary or tense tbh.

Leave the World Behind4
Jan 21, 2024
Cinematically it's ok. Atmosphere is probably the best aspect of this movie. The story unfolds in a way where u at least are curious to learn more. However, that's were the good parts end. This film was clearly written by someone who owns a doomsday bunker themselves, and has a child's understanding of the world, technology and geopolitics. Basically the film falls flat at the end, due to the weakly constructed premise it expects the viewer to accept. In short the creators of this film expect to you believe that society will fracture to the point of self annihilation within 3 days of having no internet.

Predestination1
Jan 21, 2024
This movie takes the worst aspect of the time travel concept, namely paradox's and actually tries to build its plot around that. Its basically going, see this, this is impossible, whoooah mindblown, see how deep we are. This movie is for idiots who think logic is some foreign esoteric concept. This movie literally invalidates itself.

Oppenheimer7

It's a good solid nolan film, but it kinda lacks a certain punch or edge. The actual bomb test was very underwhelming compared to the real trinity test footage which i guess is a bit unfair but nothing stopped Nolan to just use the actual test footage. It just fundamentally lacks a narrative or story element that would propel it to a level were the viewer would actually feel or care about the protagonist or the story.

John Wick: Chapter 45
Apr 5, 2023
The only thing separating this movie from its predecessors, is the longer action sequences. They literally take old songs in the previous movies and tack them together for one super mega long action scene. Tbh its rather boring. This movie is 2 hours (3 hour movie) of action choreography set to electronic music. That's it. I think this cash cow is dead, please god no more.

Everything Everywhere All at Once2
Mar 14, 2023
It's a narrative ****, with a little fluff at the end. The core thought of this movie has some merit but doesnt redeem the film. It not a sci-fi in any form or manner, it uses a science buzz word and goes to town with it and then tries to be a lame slapstick comedy. The problem is, even though its very silly it's not actually funny. Basically super wacky stuff happens and then ppl get emo at the end. Try and watch this twice and you'll realize how flat and dull it really is.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness4
May 10, 2022
Basically things just happen...Nothing makes sense, nothing matters, there's a multiverse blah blah we need to get a book thingy blah blah. The scarlet witch is sad, and now kills people on the fly and wants to rule literally everything cause she wants kids!?...Really!? I mean she dated a freaking robot in the previous movies, surely the dating game wont be that bad!? The plot feels like a random idea generator. I guess there are a few cool looking scenes here and there but other than that, it amounts to 2 hours of flashing lights and lame dialogue. Screenwriter was definitely drunk or taking the piss....

Dune: Part One8
Nov 4, 2021
Pretty damn good, one could always be pedantic and picky but one also has to realize that you could never truly capture the entirety of the novel and its verbose language and internal dialogue. I cannot ask for more when it comes down to the look of the film. The pacing is perfect. The zimmer soundtrack also delivers although i would have to say its not better than blade runner 2049, a little bit too much mystic female yabbering vocals here and there.

Avengers: Endgame7
May 7, 2019
Firstly the pacing and story of this film are atrocious, time travel is the uncreative writers go-to. All the hype and anticipation you'll have for this movie will evaporate in like 15 mins then it'll take about an hour of flashback **** that feels like watching snippets of the old films. There is like 30 mins in this film that is good. Also they take some of their best loved chars and makes them objects of ridicule.

Thor: Ragnarok9
Nov 13, 2017
Hands down the most enjoyable marvel movie yet. Imagine guardians of the galaxy on steroids basically. Epic level action with top notch cg set in really good looking imaginative settings, really funny dialogue delivered by diverse and interesting characters and fast paced story with never really a dull moment. One could argue the story is rather simple and lacks any nuance or complexity but the film truly delivers on pure entertainment value. Anyone arguing that this feels like a cheap comedy is certainly a very boring soul that somehow has forgotten that superhero stories have never been or tried to be shakespearean dramas.

10 Cloverfield Lane5
Aug 3, 2016
I fail to understand how this film can get a higher rating than the previous "cloverfield" film. In total id say there is about 20 to 30 mins of screen time that resembles anything that the concept or brand "cloverfield" would bring to mind. And i bet the writers and director thought they were pretty smart with the story, but its frankly boring and underwhelming. You still have that "what the f*ck is going on?" vibe its just A LOT more timid and stale than the previous movie. I be giving away spoilers if i describe the plot more but if you watch this movie with the idea of watching anything cloverfield related you will be disappointed. So in short a its a bit of a "fail" move in terms of plot but i has to be said if you havnt seen the previous film this wont be as bad to be honest, not great but not terrible.

Warcraft5
Aug 3, 2016
The SOLE reason why im not giving this movie a 2 or 3 is because im a warcraft fan from the days of the 1st game. And even being familiar with the game word and lore did not help me from being rathed confused 30 mins into the movie. The basic plot is simple enough but the story flow and character development are non existent. The script and and acting are cringe worthy as well. The only thing this movie has, is good CG and good costumes. Anyone giving this movie more than 6 is a idiot fanboy who has no concept of what makes a good movie or story. Dont get me started on ppl voting this a 10. You must really be special... They are probably the same type of fool that thinks the old DND movie was a "masterpiece" cause u know it had dragons, spells and swords and stuff. In short it looks great but EVERYTHING else about it stinks.
