AWESOME avalanches Duh 1080: AVALANCHE ). + Gate Challenge offers for more replay value. + Realistic and very fast racing. + Almost every single track has a pretty awesome atmosphere. But are a tad too short ). + You'll be coming back for more. *- Character models could've used some polish. *- Tricking falls flat compared to the competition. SSX, Amped ) *- Could use more variety in the soundtrack department. - Just 5 boarders They could've added Dion and Kensuke and another female boarder into the mix ) - Barely any character customization. Just 3 skins per character and 5 character selected boards ( An SSX3 style character customization would've been so awesome). * A very minor flaw or just something out of preference. 1080: Avalanche 7.75/10... 1080 has some problems in the trick and extra character content department. But 1080 hits the perfect spots when it comes to the other three major aspects of the game. Match Race, Gate Challenge and of course Time Attack. And one more very important thing, it makes you want to play the game again and again and again...

Amalur is a BIG, HUGE game for sure. But did they gave us a huge amount of content for us to explore and to find out. Yeah...? Amalur has a pretty interesting plot, but with few highlights. A colorful and beautiful world, but with a kinda awkward camera and the maps are always connect via the same pathway/tunnel. A fun combat system that reminds me of God of War. No buts on the combat. A huge list of sidequests and they are fully voiced, but only a few of them got me really interested. Fun fate/class system, but a not so interesting character customization. Amalur does so many things right, but at the same time there are many small flaws that hold this game back from it's true potential. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning 7.5/10 A'IGHT!!! I do have to admit that it's always fun to just walk around enjoying the beautiful landscapes and environments of Amalur.

Remember Me for me is the NIER of 2013 with the only exception being the good looking graphics. Both start off pretty slow, but somewhere around the 25/30% mark of the game it completely **** you in. Pros: A very good plot and narrative Rich atmosphere Awesome soundtrack Good looking A very good second half... Cons: Game feels a bit like chore in the beginning A bit too much of a cinematic experience sometimes A semi-good case of inconsistency... It's not a near perfect game, but it's absolutely one you should check out just for the experience. Remember Me 8.25/10: YEAH!!! I really hope we see something again from DONTNOD and their universe

Probably the best FPS I've ever played. A awesome campaign full of memorable moments and cool supportive characters also co-op campaign A ton of challenges and arcade leagues. 150 characters to pick from in multiplayer. 10+ game modes and maps. Cool weapons. A well made OST. Profile stats in full detail. Mapmaker. It's just full with quality content. TS:FP is a great update from TS2. The only bad thing that I can come up with, is that I miss some TS2 maps. If you still have your PS2/XBOX/GCN, buy this gem. TimeSplitters:Future Perfect 10/10:OMG!!! The ultimate dungeon crawler. It might be a bit confusing and hard when you begin, but it will eventually grow on to you. Perfect story and dialogue. A cool combat system. A soundtrack that reminds me of the classic RE. The save system and the high difficulty level early on are holding this epic game back. And maybe the dungeon crawler setting for some as well Vagrant Story is a must for every collector. 9.0/10: EPIC!!!

Meh... They've tried to do something, but it's the same thing over again. Old graphics. MP is boring and almost exactly the same, small generic and boring looking maps with campers and annoying people. Campaign is just...just *BLARGH* The same cliche American soldiers saving the world crap. Zero innovation. If you want a FPS experience, go find a good ol' fashioned copy of TimeSplitters or a copy of BF, Perfect Dark, 007:Nightfire (GCN). Seriously, I don't expect anything from this series anymore, not even their next-gen title Ghosts. 3.5/10: Awww JEEZ!!! If you love a more mature JRPG with a plot that keeps you thinking even after you've dropped the controller and if you love a game that just nails every other aspect of a videogame, go find Xenogears. Nier...what a beautiful game you are. You don't need a game of ''OMGWTFASDGDFYJE'' graphics to amaze a true gamer. Nier has got one of the most touching, dark and melancholic story this gen.( It's written by Yoko Taro, so duh? A soundtrack that's at least worth a place in The Top 3 Best OSTs of All Time. You really feel connected with the main character and his friends/allies and the game presents a father daughter relationship like no other game has done before, even after. Side missions don't feel like a big burden and some even have a touching story with them *sniff* poor doggy *sniff* ). And another thing that Nier does differently than the rest...Endings. All four endings of Nier delivered. And as you expect from Yoko Taro, be prepared for NG+. The more you play and you slowly start to unlock the other endings, it starts to get more depressing and more and more and more... I've never ever felt such an empty feeling in my chest ever unlocking every ending. You'll get warped back at the beginning of Act 2 when doing NG+, so you don't start all the way at the beginning). But there were only one and a half things that bugged the hell out of me: The lack of more locations and some lack of polish and detail of the existing levels. Nier is a gem in every way. From the changing gameplay to the OST. If you can forgive it's technical shortcomings and you want a story with an explosive climax or a change of scenery in the JRPG scene, then please try this game out. You can only imagine what Cavia could've done with a bigger budget and a little bit more time. Mos def a 9/10: EPIC!!! ( Forgive me if my English ****. I'm still learning

Probably the most f***ed up game I've ever played in my 12 years of video gaming. The soundtrack is a blast. Growing Wings FTW ) The characters, except for some, are damn disturbing. And the story is just extremely bizarre and it has some of the most depressing and mindf**k endings ever. I'm looking at you Chapter 12 & 13 ) It's like playing a real existing creepypasta! But I've enjoyed every second of it, but too bad the gameplay is pretty stale and that the NA and EU versions are censored because of some taboos in the game such as; incest, cannibalism, etc. It'll make the story very unclear, but you can always look things up on the 'net. Drakengard, like I said, is one of the most f***ed up game I've ever played with an awesome soundtrack, average to good graphics and supported with delicious FMV cutscenes...with repetitive and stale gameplay that's unforgiving at certain moments. Damn you save system!) Can't wait for Drakengard 3!

I actually liked The Run. The Run itself has some boring moments here and there, but some moments surpasses some of my nostalgic memories of the Underground era. 2 examples: The Rockies. It was a wonderland. Las Vegas Chase was awesome. The game looks very good with Frostbite 2. The game sounds good with a extremely good soundtrack. The game plays like a classic cross country racer. It takes some time to get used to the handling. But what's missing? Some classic NFS races. It's always from point A to point B. It would've been such a nice addition if they could place circuit races in the streets of San Fran or New York. Have alternate routes, diverse challenges, etc... More car customization would've been nice. But customization ain't a big deal for me. It's the lack of racing content that we've missed in this...racing game. It's not the worst NFS by far, and really not the best. If they could've add more detail and content, this game would've rocked even now. 7/10 I've had tons of fun, but it didn't last that long.

FIFA Soccer 13

Maybe I'm a bitter person when it comes down to FIFA games. Here in The Netherlands football/soccer is the number 1 sport. Almost every dude in my school and class plays football in real life and those dudes always talk about FIFA or CoD when talking games. And I got called n00b sometimes because I said I don't play FIFA anymore.( Only played 09 and 11. Played 12 sometimes with a friend at his house right before FIFA 13). I know FIFA for some of it's great soundtracks, announcers, commercials and fun factor. We have to give them thumbs up for that. But what kind of improvements does FIFA 13 got? From what I've played with friends, it has got some lazy ass AI that switches to AI on crack to weird ass AI. I try to pass, but my teammate gave the ball away. My defenders weren't doing their jobs and were just following the ball like it was a Sunday walk in the park. The opponents score 95% of the time via a cheap shot or because of an AI fault on your team. I know real defenders can make mistakes, but just standing there 20 meters away from the opponent aimlessly looking around is ridiculous. Jezus! That's a severe case of inconstancy. First touch: Nice concept, but in the game it's not as it can bug. Online ****! It's like the FIFA system relies too much on it's luck ratio by getting sixes when rolling the dice. But it never does and lands on a box where someone asks it a question, it doesn't know the answer and gets send all the way back to the start. But when it works the way it's suppose to work FIFA is a alright game to play. Nothing more, nothing less. It's loves to slap you in the face a lot and then it tries to win you **** then slaps you again. If you are a hardcore soccer player or FIFA fan you'll may love it. But for me it's not my cup of tea and my total of 8 hours FIFA with friends weren't the best 8 hours of my life. Good soundtracks and announcers but that's it for me. Still beats Physics tests though. 5/10 I have to find FIFA11 again. I really miss that one.

My first platinum trophy. Dead Space 2 is my second favorite survival horror game this gen, has my favorite male character of all time: Space Engineer Isaac Clarke. And the most badass weapon this gen...a foam finger that blows s@*# up. DS2 nails the atmosphere flawlessly with great sound effects, audio logs, text logs and beautiful environments and throws you in hell much more worse than in the first one. DS2 doesn't have big improvements over the first, but lots of small ones. There are a handful amount of characters and all their performances all top notch. Clarke be praised. The story itself is one depressive yet epic trip through the head of Isaac. This game had lot: ''Is this game scary?'' questions. On easier difficulties. No it's not. But if you play it on Survivalist or Zealot on your first or second run (Zealot without new game+). Oohhh you'll get brutalized, you'll feel the intensity and sometimes you'll feel hopeless. And there is a Hard Core mode. 3 Saves, No new game+, Survivalist/Zeolot mix, low ammo and med packs. And if you die, you'll go back to your last save. DS2 it's single player has a high replay value like old school Resident Evil. With that I mean: Speedruns, X weapon only, No med packs, etc.. This game is just awesome. It has action and horror and survival on the higher difficulties And DS2 pulls off the combination perfectly. It had me in a chokehold from start to finish, and I watend more. And a game like that deserves a good score. Oh, multiplayer is fun with friends for a bit. But yeah... in DS2 the single player matters the most. Love it with every cel of my body. A great update of the first one. Isaac really needs a shot to redeem himself from DS3, for real. 10/10 I doubted, but giving this a 9/10 I-I just couldn't.

Great art and visuals and presentation. The story is quite intriguing, mature, gritty, dark and forms a perfect prequel for DMC3. Yeah I know it's a reboot but it just fits perfectly together. Profanity is there, but there are also some moments in there that made me feel angry like Dante and sad or completely ''WTF?!''-ed like Dante. The characters are good and there is decent to very good voice acting. And there IS humor. And the white wig joke was hilarious. Offending?! Seriously?! Nah... Soundtrack is BRUTAL and it doesn't make my ears bleed like in MGR:Revengeance, but that's just different taste in music. And I feel bad for NOISIA that the haters think that dubstep is only Skrillex. And you don't have the same battle song playing over again, and again, and again like in DMC3 4. Because sometimes I would stop playing, and play games with a better soundtrack DMC3 did have best ost material, but for me it was overshadowed by ''poser industrial techno metal''). Now we have Combichrist! Combat is fluid, smooth and has the old school DMC flare. It does lack an amount of extra moves which really is a bummer. And I didn't had any problem with DT. And there are always ways to play stylish instead of using trinity smash. Hell, DMC3 had DT Flux for Instant SSS. Vergil could be your with Royalguard. Forgotten about that huh? Combos can be linked with each other much more faster and smoother. Bosses are easy, but far from bad. They're actually epic! Difficulty could be kicked up a little bit, but you've always got SOS, DMD, HOH, HAH, Vergil's Downfall Bloody Palace for more replay value. The 30fps is really noticeable when you play with A/V cables on PS3, but on HDMI it's smooth like butter. I still think that the majority of the haters are still the ones who were extremely pissed at all those trailers. And didn't play this game with an open mind and still got their Nostalgic Goggles on while whining about everything. Saying that everyone should buy 4 HD Collection. DMC4 is superior in gameplay, but felt extremely rushed and was rushed. Bland anime story, hideous soundtrack( except for the song you hear during the Goddess Statue the 2nd half and Nero. I haven't touched it ever since I've got DmC. But **** haters got their way. This game didn't sell very well. However, DMC3 still reigns over DmC. If DmC had the lock-on for extra input **** would be on par with DMC3 for real. Maybe even beat it. Now waiting for the moment for my friend to give DmC back to me. A well deserved 9/10 Ninja Tee. Oh yeah, two 9/10 because my friend agrees

SSX

Mar 10, 2013
SSX (2012) is one hell of a rush. If you know the tricks. The World Tour mode is perfect for starters or for the people who have lost their flow and want to get back in. The Survive It runs are a blast to ride in my opinion. But the Deadly Descents could've kicked their difficulty level up a notch. Seriously I could beat all of them without the special gear, except for one, on my first go. (Thin Air is impossible without an oxygen tank. Even with a wingsuit.) But there are some frustrating runs designed by Satan in this game. Great example: One Step Ahead/Grand Golliat if I'm correct. The game runs extremely smooth with beautiful mountain ranges. I do miss the fireworks though. No not all of the 168 drops have death crevasses. That's whining over one small aspect of the game. Awesome amount of tricks and the possibilities of performing 15 backflips while doing Walking the Dog is just awesome. And the technique of using the entire track as a half-pipe has been there since the first one. And beating the first track without touching the controller. WOW! Possible in SSX3 as well. Hell, you can do Aloha Ice Jam under a minute without controller in Tricky. Hard to pull off, but possible. And the rewind function is there to add more challenge and to not exploit the reset glitch/trick of past games. Soundtrack is pretty tight, but it lacks the diversity of SSX3. And there is the option to customize your soundtrack which is great. Characters do interact with each other during races, but not as loud as in Tricky or 3. And some new character quotes is a nice addition as well. ''this is WICKED!!!'' -Mac... The online experience was very fun. And no. You don't always race with ghosts. Blue rider ghost. Other riders Live holograms to avoid painful collisions. And the wingsuit ''cheating'' is not cheating unless it says: ''Wingsuit Restricted'' Split-screen: I really didn't care, because I barely played with my friends side by side. The controls: It takes time to get used to it. Just like the transition from Tricky to 3. A completely different feel to it. But the thing is. This time around you don't have to push your stick all the way to the left or right. Slightly pushing it to the left or right is good enough. Character customization felt like the one from the originator (SSX 2000). Costumes are just the same ones with a different color or pattern, but there are some ridiculous amount of board designs out there. The things I found frustrating in this game are: The shop design. I've wasted $37.000.000 to get a rewind perk for a Survival record run. Instant deaths: At some points of a Survival run you can lose all of your armour, health and sometimes even both in 1 bail. 12 years of SSX full of frustrating moments, now Instant death?! It's understandable if your boarder faceplants him/herself while going 400 km/h against a boulder. But I was just riding on a ledge. ''WOOOSSHH'' Board disappeared. Run ended. Me getting pissed afterwards. Standard controls during Trick it events: Stalefish Mute are the highest scored tricks. When jumping out of the chopper you can get 8.500 to 10.000 points. While the highest scoring tricks on Classic, Tailgrab Seatbelt only 6.500 to 8.500 points. Small differences like that have a effect on record runs. Especially with the new multiplier system. And tricks on Standard controls can be pulled of faster than with the Classic control scheme. **** if you can only play with Classic controls like me. But Classic functions better during races. Overall, SSX (2012) is an awesome competitive extreme sports game like it's predecessors Tricky 3. Every SSX game is hard when you first start the game. Once mastered or once you have the basic SSX knowledge, it's one hell of a ride and you want to beat everyone on the tracks and play it forever. And again like it's predecessors! It's plagued by small mistakes that you can ignore or get completely mad at. Like the advantage of Standard over Classic in Trick It's. SSX also has a awesome fan site which you can check out for master runs or competition since the Global Events only has SSX fans now. Mos def a 9/10. What a long review...

Real Survival & Invincible enemies. This was i.m.o. the best Resident Evil. Resident Evil devs today must buy a Gamecube with this game and Zero, play the crap out of it and then make a new RE game. *This is my first review, please don't bash me if I'm saying something wrong* I've been with NFS since NFSU (GC). And I find the low scores like 0/10 or 1/10 just...stupid. The physics for this game is different and you'll need time to get used to it. But they've changed the physics frequently. I say: Always remember the rule; Slow In. Fast Out. The crash cam is very frustrating indeed. The graphics is top notch for NFS. The soundtrack is dynamic and very good, but why...where is the diversity. **** can always put in your custom playlist. My biggest flaw for this game in my opinion is the lack of a story. It feels like your are riding in a jungle and going everywhere instead of riding on a road. It's missing a structure. But it might be a good thing for the people who love to go nuts and race their own way without a script. ( I like both, though I prefer an open script ) On the other hand. The online structure is very good indeed, with constant online competition going on with/against your friends as you can track eachother with Autolog 2.0. The fact that you cannot pimp up your ride hasn't got into me as much it has gotten to the Underground/Most Wanted ('05) players of NFS. But the cars are already looking pimped up. Easydrive is a nice addition as well. No need for menus when you're picking an event while driving through Fairhaven, or adding some performance parts/mods when the 5-0 is chasing you. In short. It's a awesome game when you look through the minor flaws. Or for many NFS people out there: It's a Love It! or Hate It! game. I love it, though I needed some practice at first. I'll cut down 1 point of the total score. -0.5: Unforgiving and frustrating crashes. -0.3:Lack of structure in single player. -0.2:No pimpin' up your ride. ( But they're already looking pimp imo ) 9.0/10: Looks awesome, feels awesome (when you practice) and sounds awesome. It's awesome and really focused on the racing experience of NFS. Though you will notice the flaws...*sigh* I still prefer the '05 version because of the story, Mia and the tsunami of nostalgia.
