I realise that reviewing this series before it's over, does not give a good impression of the overall show. But I am making an exception because I can NOT stand how dramatically this show has turned for the worst. For those who've rated this show for its consistency is laughable. Throughout the current series producers have proceed to chaotically change the character dynamics of (team arrow) to an unrecognisable level. Introducing a variety of new characters without cementing their roles. The romance with Felicity and Oliver Queen was poorly executed, and seemingly contrived. I do not get the impression that either, by their acting or story that these two should in fact be together. It seems hastily implemented, and with Oliver's relationship history = Laurel/Sara/Shadow/McKenzie/Sara and now Felicity? Seems like he's less in love and more wanting a date. As a character the personality of Felicity has changed dramatically she's become less of the mildly humorous idiosyncratic blond IT girl and now is an overly aggressive, confrontational CEO. It is becoming dislikeable how a supporting character should have such a presence of undermining Oliver Queen's character. Big fail! Diggle as a voice of reason is becoming almost non-existent, not being significant in any way shape or form to the current series, now that Roy Harper, aka Robin has become effectively the arrow's generically unnecessary sidekick. Laurel taking up the mantle of the Canary?! NO! I have to say it's becoming less like the 'ARROW' and more like a rag tag band of wannabe vigilantes without any qualifications dressing up in ridiculous costumes. (Kick-Ass) but less humorous. She might be taking a few boxing lesson's to substitute for her anger, stress and alcohol issues but it certainly doesn't mean that she should be incorporated into the show as a heroine. Her acting in the previous seasons was tolerable, but her apparent lack of emotion when they thought that Oliver was dead? It is disgraceful, she was dating Oliver at one point, and is her only friend, as we can see, and does not seem to affect her. You might think with all the death of friends and family she has become desensitised to his death. But, for someone who has been a big part of her life, to die and yet show no emotion anger, denial sadness? The same can be said of all other supporting characters. Felicities rendition of a lover lost is far too exaggerated and feels unnatural. But comes to terms with it resoundingly fast. Please rethink watching The Arrow!
