In the end I Love You Phillip Morris is an entertaining and lighthearted piece of filmmaking, about one man who constantly made ill-advised decisions for the ones he loved. Funny thing is I couldn't imagine this film without Cage. He's great, as usual. A Film Review By: Sam Fragoso "The American" ***1/2 George Clooney star's in Anton Corbijn's new action thriller "The American" Review The film revolves around an older man, possibly a spy, and definitely a craftsman of some sort. We never really find out what he is, but we do know that he is dangerous and he is being hunted. Now people are comparing this film as the "Eat, Pray, Love" for George Clooney. I don't think so, yes Clooney is in every scene, but this is certainly not a travelogue of Europe and on top of that the supporting cast around him is the reason why this film works so well. However I think "The American" is an acquired taste and certainly not for everyone. I mean there is ten minute stretches without any dialogue and most of the film is without action, which is all-fine by me. The crowd I saw this film with was certainly not happy; they were bored, confused and angry that objects weren't blowing up. I however enjoyed every minute of it; it's beautifully shot in the Swiss Alps, Rome and a small little town in Italy. "The American" has beautiful cinematography through out, Clooney gives a great performance and though sometimes the characters seem to be to remote for us to care about "The American" is a good film and for my money one of the years best.

A Film Review By: Sam Fragoso "It's Kind Of A Funny Story" *** Newcomer Keir Gilchrist and Zach Galifianakis star in the new film "It's Kind Of A Funny Story". When a film can make us laugh and cry all in the same scene, you it's done something right. "It's Kind Of A Funny Story" is not so much of a comedy, as it is a touching story about people with depression and other illnesses. The film revolves around Craig (Keir Gilchrist), a sixteen-year-old boy, who like many teenagers has been dealing with depression and anxiety. Until one night his depression is stronger then usual. He rides his bike to the Brooklyn Bridge, where he is ready to jump off. But he decides to preserve his life, get real help that could benefit him in the future. So he goes to a hospital, where be begs and pleads to be taken into the mental facility. At first, Craig is reluctant to stay at the hospital, he is so unaware of the people in these facilities, that have much bigger problems then he could ever imagine having. Eventually he adapts to it, however he has to stay there for five days in order to be cleared to go home. But on the way, he meets people that can really help him and can certainly relate to his problems. The first character he meets is Bobby, played by Zach Galifianakis. I know what you all are thinking; there is no way that Galifianakis can play a serious role, in a film like this. But he does, he shows signs of genuine sincerity and sympathy to the people heâ

A Film Review By: Sam Fragoso "Brooklyn's Finest" **1/2 In my opinion Brooklyn's Finest was an average movie at best. I think I might of expected so much because of the great cast thats in it. It feels like something is missing towards then end and the ending is some what unpredictable but for me it wasn't my favorite film by Fuqua. Overall the movie was average at best and I say "Rent it".

A Film Review by: Sam Fragoso "Repo Men" ** There were many good things in this movie but also alot of really bad scenes that kinda of ruin the movie in some ways. How ever there were some up sides like... Jude Law has a solid performance and the action in Repo Men was really new and inventive and I truly enjoyed seeing that. They didn't overdue the action which is probably a first in most movies, so thats what kept me interested. When it's all said and done the ending is pretty rediculous and you realize you wasted the last half hour (need to see movie in order to understand). Anyways it was a half way decent movie with solid performances and new action so with that alone I say "Rent it".

A Review By: Sam Fragoso "Just Wright" **1/2 Queen Latifah and rapper turned actor, Common star in the new romantic comedy called "Just Wright". It's seems to me that Hollywood has suddenly stopped caring about the general public and the money they spend on their movies or maybe they have just simply ran out of ideas for a good, heartfelt romantic comedy. Anyways well save the rant for another time; let's get on to "Just Wright". The film revolves around Leslie Wright; she's a hardworking physical therapist, thatâ

A Film Review by: Sam Fragoso "The A-Team" *1/2 I don't even know where to start with Joe Carnahan's A-Team. First thing is it's extremely sloppy, it doesn't know what it wants to be, at first it's a tale of four men on a mission next it's a love story between Cooper and Biel. The two don't mix well and it really shows. The sad thing is for the first half of the movie I would of said see it, but honestly the last half really destroyed the whole plot line and it turned this film into a "formula" action movie, which is very disappointing. Let me just make this clear, if your one of those people who enjoy cars blowing up and people dying all over the place then you may "mildly" like this film. I have nothing against action but there is definitely such a thing as overkill and that's what they do here. I will give props to Neeson and Cooper who did a good job, but the scrip falters half way through and even the talented actors on screen can't save The A-Team, I say skip it.

A Film Review by: Sam Fragoso *1/2 Adam Sandler's new movie "Grown Up's" could possibly be one of the years worst comedies. Let me start this off telling everyone that I am an Adam Sandler fan (Spanglish, Big Daddy, Funny People etc) but this movie is probably his worst. I don't understand how five funny and some what talented actors could make a movie so bland and not even remotely funny. I don't what they were thinking when taking this movie, it's rarely funny and extremely predictable. For me this film raises the question that I hate to think of which is.... Do these actors read the scripts of the films there in before they take them or are they just doing it for the money? I mean the idea of five guys reuniting in a lake house for a weekend is not great but it has potential of being a funny movie. But in "Grown Up's" the jokes are old and tiring, the writing is weak and very bland and the old black grandma that makes fun of people is one of the biggest cliches in the movies. Sadly that's exactly what "Grown Up's'" is, a cliche for a predictable and non comedic comedy. I obviously say skip "Grown Up's".

A Film Review by: Sam Fragoso "Dinner For Schmucks" ** 2010 has definitely not been a good year for comedies and "Dinner For Schmucks" does not help the genre. Like most comedies "Dinner For Schmucks" fails to stay humorous through out. The first twenty minutes are great fun but from that point on it goes on autopilot, till the long waited and anticipated dinner scene but by that point your overwhelmed with the movies awkwardness and predictability. Carell and Rudd are very talented and likable actors but even they can't save o so predictable plot and a very flat script. You'd be doing yourself a favor by skipping "Dinner For Schmucks".

A Film Review by: Sam Fragoso *1/2 "Cop Out" Kevin Smith who directed and wrote films like "Dogma" and "Clerks" makes a new buddy cop film that makes those films look like masterpieces. Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan star in this dreaded action/comedy picture. Now what I liked about Smith's earlier films was that it continued to be funny through out the whole film and it new exactly what it wanted to be. However that's certainly not the case with "Cop Out". For every mediocre joke in "Cop Out" there is about twenty minutes of brutal fighting that doesn't move the plot along at all. I recommend watching the first five minutes, it's about the only remotely comedic part in "Cop Out". This is a big disappointment for me and I hope Smith's up and coming films are alot better then this

A Film Review By: Sam Fragoso "Get Him To The Greek" *** Russel Brand renews his role as "Aldous Snow" from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", in the new outrageous comedy "Get Him To The Greek". Review Teamwork and chemistry. I think it's the key to most films, but in particular comedies. As you have seen the few comedies I have liked this year it had great cast's with loads of chemistry (Hot Tub Time Machine and The Other Guys). Nicholas Stoller who directed "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is really good at balancing comedic moments and genuine romantic scenes. With that being said, "Get Him To The Greek" does what a lot of comedies do these days, which is it's funny for half of the film then towards last quarter of the the movie it gets really repetitive and drawn out. However the last ten minutes of the movie were extremely funny and honestly most of that credit goes to Jonah Hill (Superbad and Funny People) and surprisingly P-Diddy. "Get Him To Greek" is not nearly as audacious and unforgettable as "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", but it's still a good mix of slap-stick comedy and good story telling from Stoller and Segel. B for "Get Him To The Greek"

A Film Review By: Sam Fragoso "Date Night" ** Steve Carrel and Tina Fey are a boring and suburban married couple in "Date Night" Review You would suspect the king and queen of comedy would produce a better movie then "Date Night" ..... but they don't. Here's the premise: a boring married couple out in the suburbs of Jersey, decide they want to go out, have a night to remember. So they go into the New York City to this insanely expensive restaurant. The only problem is they don't have a reservation, so what do they do? They take one, of course (cause so many people do that). Anyways they take this reservation only to find out the reservation they took belongs to this debt owing couple. Two thugs come up and take them outside and the story goes on from there. "Date Night" delivers hardly any laughs and you would think Carrel and Fey would bring something to the table here. It's really disappointing to see these two comic wonders be stuck in such a flat and poorly written so called "comedy". I will say though the one up side to this film are the cameos by all the different actors, it kinda reminds you of all the better films they have been in. James Franco, Mila Kunis, Ray Liotta, Mark Wahlberg and J.b. Smoove almost save the film to it's ultimate demise, but "Date Night" is slow paced, boring and extremely predictable, do yourself a favor and pass on this very mediocre movie. Instead go out and rent "The 40 Year Old Version" (Carell) or "Mean Girls" (Fey) both infinitely better films then this one. Cast Steve Carell Tina Fey Mark Wahlberg Common
