I enjoy the regular combat and boss fights however whenever i fought a human the pacing of the battle is extremely of and with the character i opted to start the story you can only really do damage up close but the various aoe attacks don't let you get close. So all those fights just become really annoying. Apart from the core game loop the story is als lacking in pacing throughout my playthrough with yuito i felt like it was 50% exposition and 35% gameplay and 15% bonding activities. This balance is horrible.
Barely a game, should’ve been a short film. This is absolutely not worth 30 euros. Apparently its quite quick to beat. But i found the gameplay insanely boring so i quit after the first handful of chapters
A visually stunning narrative focused game.i like the overarching story and its various subplots. The world has a lot of planned creature encounters eg bunnies dart away or a bird flies away together with the atmospheric sounds and the foliage moving in the wind these little touches go along way to make the world feel alive. The gameplay is made off 3 parts. Some easy puzzles. Easy platforming, and some fairly basic combat encounters. A quite relaxing experience. I play all games on the default difficulty, i would imagine the higher difficulties might be more challenging but i doubt the core combat experience allows for a real challenge imagine a basic you deal less damage but take more kind of situation. Get it discounted or play on gamepass
My only problem with this game is that there is so much dialogue at times and i find myself wishingto skip ahead so i can get back to the core gameplay loop. This killed NG+ for me it just takes way to long to actually get into the action and then when it does its brief and followed up by another stream of dialogue. archetype system is cool timed playthroughat first i didnt like but they are quite generous so it didnt botter me as much later on.
Very dated, if you're looking for a simple turn you brains of campaign i would say give it a go, but don't expect to be woo'd. It's basicly like a worse GOW
I detest roguelikes, except for this one. The pacing is great the mechanics are fun and enough randomness without feeling like you’re in a rng paintrain. Great for breaks or general casual gaming.
Great vibe amazing story terrible gameplay, immense performance issues on the later levels (textures, meshes not loading, sound cutting in and out or playing at the wrong time )would’ve been better as a movie deducted 1 point for terrible performance
What is there to say its another borderlands instalment gameplay wise its pretty similaralthough i havent tried al classes yet. Story is okay. Alternate weapon modes are a nice addition but not always super obvious.
I cannot believe how utterly void the variance in main line quests are. The game runs poorly cities are poorly designed. Outposts are a massive step back from fallout settlements. Space exploration is just loading screens, this game blows.
Unfortunately the core gameplay feels very dated i held of trying the original oblivion. Because it only looked dated. Looks aren't everything. The story has been interested so far but the copious amounts of loading screens, poor combat and bland looking world make getting to enjoy the story a pain.
Note: I have altered my review after an initial playthrough I usually set a game aside if i have the urge to play more of it and start a second then i bump the review by 1. This is essentially the only thing a game has to elicit to go from a 9 to a 10.
Had trouble getting into the story but halfway through it becomes a lot more fun. The obligatory side content is a bit of a drag. Really appreciate the length. The story has focus and not that much bloat. Gameplay wise it’s a bit sluggish, visually its nothing special, even for the time it came out. The enemy AI is horrid and outpost mission poorly designed. Expeditions are actually really cool
This game you play for the story, its well crafted and full of action. It really captures that hollywood action movie vibe. Game mechanics a solid albeit somewhat simple by modern standards. Combat is generally very easy. There are 2 moments i might classify as a boss battles, neither of which were challenging. A solid game worth playing
A very average rpg with somewhat dated aesthetics, average gunplay, and fun companion mechanics and quests Was i entertained?
Yes, choices feel like they have some impact. And companions added a lot to the dialogue and have fun questlines. Was i blown away?
No, even in comparison to rpg’s that preceded it. I was probably expecting more from the company behind new vegas. When playing rpg’s i like it when i run into non quest stories which this game is lacking. This makes the world feel a bit soulles. Would I recommend playing it?
If you have gamepass you could just try it and see what you think. By no means a must play
