Star Trek started being a part of my life in 1966. More than just another TV show. A world view that was ever expanding. Where the people who became virtual role models always came from a place of wanting to do the right thing using hard won knowledge, skill and bravery. This latest iteration of the franchise betrays and mocks those values. Which might at least be entertaining, but it is not. Lower Decks did that and was entertaining, because it was a comedy. ST:SA if the writing was better might be a drama. As it is it’s just tedious to watch. Also someone didn’t get the memo about how science fiction works. Other fan reviews have gone into detail about this. Even if it wasn’t a Star Trek series it would still be unpleasant to watch.
