I have played through 2+ times......finished all missions.....platinum'd it.....finished both title lists...which includes beating each boss 5 times and beating each boss and not getting hit.....went on random missions and got into the top 15 of my clan ranking....maxed my proficiency in all weapons....fiddled around with a barehanded build.... I don't want to go overboard but this might be the greatest game I have ever played. For most games, I get to the end and just want it to be over....I was disappointed when this game ended. So I played it **** was disappointed again when I finished it a second time. I have played 250+ hours of this game and still want more.....I don't think there is a greater compliment than that.

Always online? No thanks. My internet goes out twice a week on average. Single player campaign is online? No thanks. I wish Mount and Blade had these graphics.....

It is a 99.9% Dark Souls 2D game, the 0.1% being you collect salt and not souls. If you like Dark Souls you will probably like this game. If you like difficult 2D sidescrollers then you will probably like this game. Once I figured out transmutation and developed a strategy for skill development the game opened up and became fantastic. I am subtracting one point because one very difficult boss would leave the screen and you could not hit her or figure out what she was doing. Other than that this game is fantastic!!!

This could have been a fantastic game. Unfortunately the angle of the map is skewed so I can't see where I am standing. If this game had a top down view it could be great. Several times I thought I was standing by a door or under cover.....I wasn't and got killed. In a game as unforgiving as this, it becomes frustrating and more of a chore to set my characters into their correct position.

Fun little game, very simple, and easy. Good for a distraction. Way too short. I think I finished it in five or six hours. They could have made the game way more challenging.

Update: For about a week straight my character was uncontrollable.....something was wrong with the server. I had to quit playing. Up until that point the game was fun. Unfortunately I have moved on. My Original Critique: Lots of fun with tons of content. Combat is simple and not very challenging. If you grind you will become OP and it gets too easy. Lore and homages to old DnD characters. If you like grinding, collecting and the DnD world then this is definitely a game you should **** it is free.....

Eighty dollars for a remastered game that I have already played??? No thanks............$20 and I would probably buy it. Fix the bugs and add something worthwhile if you are going to charge full price.

If you like playing Dark Souls as a slow moving heavy weapon tank then you will like this game. It is slower than DS and requires timing and some finesse. So far the skills/magic have been fun....original and strategic.

There is one severe flaw that makes this game virtually unplayable. The directional blocking and swing controls are connected to the R3 stick which controls the camera. As well, pushing the R3 toggles the camera to a close view which is very sensitive and the camera constantly moves in and out during battle. Readjusting the camera while in battle makes the game very frustrating. I was so excited when I saw this game on PS4 and bought it the second I got home from work. However I stopped playing due to frustration. Please add an option to use the L3 stick for battle and I will start playing this game again.

Another fantastic Dark Souls game....I can now forgive them for that piece of trash they call Dark Souls II....I wish I was playing it right now instead of typing this..........Praise the Sun! However....after finishing the game multiple times....I am deducting six points for the way FROM sets up their NPC story lines.....complete garbage. **** expect me to backtrack through an area that has multiple shortcuts right beside the bonfire? Really....Even though a character says the same thing over and over you expect me to talk to him after each boss? Really....I can end a quest line line just by turning left instead of right? **** expect me to warp back to the bonfire and go back to the same spot to trigger certain events? Really....I can end a quest-line if I don't talk to someone before I beat a boss? Horrible quest design.

Really enjoyable for about 5-10 hours. Very repetitive. Pretty standard repetitive 2D rogue lite. Not my type of game as I got bored and moved on. Good controls and fun power ups.

Since playing Minecraft and Terraria all I have ever wanted was those games but in a "real" universe. Settlements in Fallout.......I love it..... Thanks for adding this!!!!!!!!!!!

While playing Fallout 3 I wished I could build my own settlement and improve Megaton....this game is my wish come true....settlement building in a Fallout world!!!

Even with the bad reviews I wanted to give this game a try. I played around 20 hours, died many times, and found the game challenging and enjoyable until I hit a certain point. The combat system is broken. This game feels like someone tried to create and innovative battle system but did not play test it. Taking into consideration that if the enemy gets a turn they will easily kill a team member and you will have to **** each battle area takes around 15-20 minutes to clear. The death of certain enemies trigger other enemy movements. Which is fine but with the cover and counter attack system I have no way of controlling who dies or commanding my team not to attack certain enemies. Certain dungeons aren't meant to be cleared the first time you enter it. You have to clear a certain area and then come back later when you are stronger. However there is no way of knowing how many gorians will attack you from out of nowhere if you open a certain chest. It is assumed that you will get attacked and you might be able to run away but you have to die the first time to find out. So essentially in every dungeon you have to waste at least 45 minutes to figure out if you can survive. But the biggest reason why I quit playing the game was because at certain points during battles I wasn't allowed to kill certain key enemies. However, again with the cover and counter-attack system, the enemy that I was not allowed to kill would attack and I would counter and kill them causing a game over. So essentially there is not enough control of each aspect of battle in respect to the difficulty and management you need for this game to be challenging and fun.

Dear Metacritic, You should set up official accounts. Only people with actual PS4 consoles and have actually played this game should be allowed to review it. There is no way this game could be rated as 0. I have neither bought it or played it. But I will give it a 10 just to offset someone's 0.

I only played about 10 hours and quit. Very repetitive and frustrating. The wall mechanic is game breaking. If you are running and come close to a wall you stop and stick to the wall like you are in stealth mode. I am not a fan of the "kill 5 Uruks with headshots" tasks as it feels like a test and not a game. It is essentially a giant fetch quest as the map tells you where everything is. However, if you are a fan of the Assassin's Creed or Batman series you might enjoy this game. The game is very well done but just not my style. And the nemesis system is pretty innovative and fun.

Some of the best gothic horror visuals I have ever seen and heard. New and fun weapons and an increase in difficulty that is the cherry on top of an already fantastic game! I originally had rated this game as a 10. Then I finished the DLC and looked at the wikis. I apparently have to perform multiple loads and reloads of areas to get NPC story lines to trigger. This is completely unacceptable. I understand coming back and reloading **** multiple times? I spent hours running through the DLC trying on different outfits etc. But what I didn't do was run through the DLC twice or thrice because that just doesn't make sense. Utter horsecrap..... Dear FROM, I don't want to have to look at wikis to figure out your game. I had this game re-reviewed at at 0. I have since changed my mind. This DLC is that good. You can totally screw the player over by making a virtually non sensible story line path and I will still give it a perfect rating....nicely done.

Old School Video Game converted from PC to PS4. No longer a mouse movement clickfest!!! Turn based combat!!!! Excessive skill usage that affect gameplay!!!! Constant micromanaging of inventory!!!! Ammunition is scarce!!!!!!! Actually trying to be the good guy!!! In my world this is what a true RPG is.

I was sold at Arcane Archer and a Mystic Knight! The skills and weapons are so much fun. The death animations for the monsters are the best I have ever seen or heard. Awesome game!

I warned my son not to buy it. I told him it would be crap and just get a used Madden 15. He took all his gift cards from Christmas and his birthday and spent $80 on a brand new Madden 16. His review...."This ****, NCAA 13 is better. Can return this?" Your games are crap but at least you are teaching my son the value of money. Thanks to EA my son now understands what "roster update" and "buyer beware" mean. One star for the hard life lesson you gave my son.

I was going to buy it for my son for Christmas. It was $****....yeah I don't think so. Got to get to 150 characters, got to get to 150 ch...

Graphics, music, sound effects, battle sequences, weapons, upgrades, story, and characters are all great. The the quality of the cut scenes and battle animations are **** battle system is different and interesting for about 15 hours and then it feels like just hitting the same button over and over again. I got very bored with the fighting system about 30 hours in and tried to finish the game as fast as I could. I got to the end of the game and was underpowered and couldn't beat the final boss. I lost interest halfway through so the most I can give it is a 6.

I have seen this game perfectly summed up. In this game you do the same things over and over. I think the game is decent. However it is definitely not my style. I expected a stealth and hacking game. Instead I got a driving game with extremely simplistic hacking. Even though it is not one of my favourite games, the IP was cool and inventive so I will give it a decent score. However I quit playing because it got really boring and repetitive.

Loved it. Great story and twist. Every mission was exciting because one critical hit from the enemy could kill my soldier. Great turn based strategy!!

Basically a FPS with unlimited ammo and health refills. It was way too easy. Very light on story and character development. I felt they wasted a chance to do something really special with the Fallout lore.

This game crashes at the load screen. I bought it on **** is Friday.....still can't get it to work. Hey Brian instead of making arrogant youtube videos, how about making a game that works. I'll be playing angry birds while I wait for your support staff to respond.............

Absolutely love this game. Characters are dark and the atmosphere is gritty. One of the greatest superhero games I have ever played. Sometimes I find myself just walking around and looking at stuff.........

I was playing KOTOR and thought how great it would be if I could play it on xbox and the fighting was more than point and click and wait to see what happens. This is StarWars minus the light-sabres. This game was like playing a movie.........Amazing game.

GOG you got me..........free Mount and Blade download.....played for 10 hours and absolutely hooked. "Had " to buy Warband because it was better...........well played.....this is what they do to kids....give the kids the drugs for **** then boom they are hooked..... Amazing game. Two hours into the game Tundra Bandits stole my horse. Fifteen hours later and over 300 bandits sold to the Ransom broker.....still no sign of my horse. What I Love: If I get swarmed by two or more enemies I get killed. Two javelins to the face and I am out. Made a bad decision and lost my horse and **** I had left was my bow and some dried meat. It took me close to four hours to get back to where I was. **** do I **** can I **** much can I afford...... Fighting mechanics....directional blocking and hitting...... The sound effects when I make contact with my two handed ax from my horse. Helping villagers. Caring about my Warband and all the time I put into training them. Reading a book takes longer than just pushing a button. Weapon skills are advanced by using them. The emotions of seeing a village you helped getting looted by a 200+ army and not being able to do anything about it. Feeding my Warband butter. Not going on a game wiki and discovering new things.... On going destruction and sense of despair....smoke rising from looted villages. My first battle with 7 new recruits against 12 bandits....pure mayhem!!!! We got slaughtered.....

In game micro-transactions.....I have to give it a zero because I won't be buying it....... I understand the psychology of putting them in the game as well. If I have to go on-line to a "store" then I can ignore it but to put a chest in game that I cannot/will not open pisses me off......... No thanks.

If this game had been released in 2003 it would have been amazing. The story is good so far and I love the faction bonuses/abilities you get by joining them. (Actually only played the Demon Hunters so far so I can't comment on the other factions). I particularly don't like RPGs that allow you to "reset" your character i.e. K of Amalur and Dark Souls II. I haven't gotten very far in the game so I might be wrong, but having limited glory/experience and gold forces you to make some tough choices so you can't max out every ability. The fighting system is fun, I think people get frustrated because the controls are almost the exact opposite to Skyrim and Dark Souls. i.e. RT is block, X is dodge and A is **** took me probably 7 hours before I got used to the controls. Because of the limited glory/experience/gold there is an added element of satisfaction after you complete each quest. You may not need all the loot you received but you definitely need the glory/gold. I love how you start out really weak and then gradually get stronger. There is a sense of character progression similar to Dark Souls where starting out, simple enemies will swarm and kill you. But after building up skills and armor, each battle is no longer a fight to the death and it feels like your character is getting stronger. As well, I have gone through RPGs without ever using healing potions or magical buffs, this game forces you to use all your resources. Like I said I just started, about 15 hours in, but I have died many times, so far it is challenging and fun. The bad..... The graphics are horrible. Cut scenes are horrible. Load times are horrible. I am an old gamer and grew up in the 80s so bad graphics and load times don't bother **** overall this game is fun and challenging.

I have been playing indies and old school games for a while and decided to go back to Fallout 3.....I finally realize how great this game is. Music, atmosphere, weapons, armour, NPCs....a blend of perfection.

Update on the Update: Final Review I am giving a final score of 2. I don't play online and I don't look at Wiki's, I enjoy the challenge of figuring everything out on my own. I spent two hours trying to figure out a way to stop poison from flowing into an area. Fireball didn't work, and my +10 Flame sword did not **** my torch did. Just plain stupid....fire is fire, if I can light it with my torch I should be able to light it with my fireball. Bad graphics and fire/magic animations are brutal. Poor hit detection, I get hit and lose most of my health but no sound or controller "rumble". Visually I do not get hit, but I lose health. Full stamina button delays, especially on Estus flasks. Some buttons flow and can "stack" but others do not. Inventory animations looks like an early 90s RPG (Dark Souls Inventory Screen was perfect). Balance issues, you have to be so powerful to beat bosses that the regular enemies are too easy. Emerald Herald repeats herself every time, take away from immersion. I subtracted a whole point for having to chase down Crystal Lizards, having them cornered but still unable to hit them with certain weapons. Having to warp back to the Emerald Herald is a waste of time...I am over level **** over 125 warps and 125 times...seek greater souls. After playing single player, I wanted to play on-line......I did not have privileges. Apparently need Xbox Live Gold.... Too much crap I will never use. I finally figure out the secret passage (or die 15 times trying to make a jump) to a chest and there is nothing useful **** least in Dark Souls the majority of the items you found were useful. Like I said in my original review, if another company tried to ripoff the Dark Souls formula, this is what it would be. Ongoing Sarcastic Comments: I actually warped to the Drangelic Wal-Mart. Believe it or not but their plastic toy weapons last longer than my +10 Blacksteel Katana. Drangleic, where magical fire from enemies burn you and only you. Friends of enemies get a little warmer but no damage. Emerald Herald "I'll tell you what buddy, I'll stop repeating myself when you collect the right souls. And sometimes not even at all. Drangleic, where only some of the environment is breakable. Massive support pillars yes, brown metal **** so much. Drangleic, load up on VIT so can finally wear that cool armor and die in two shots anyways. Obviously the same company that built the walls in Lodran are the same company that built Drangleic. "You see this wall here? Yup, specially made so enemy weapons can slice through it like butter! Player weapons, no way Jose!!" ****'t roll don't roll don't **** I didn't need those souls anyway. Tee hee...I am lying on the ground and you can't hit me!!! Drangleic, where ladders are home free for the enemies.

Good DLC. Bosses were very hard, unfortunately I found it very unbalanced. To be able to beat the bosses you have to be at a pretty high level. This meant that the battles between the regular enemies were very easy. It was way too short.

This game was unplayable. Don't tell me it is free then lock up characters. Don't tell me I can finish the game using the characters that are available. I like to play and test different strategies. Well EA you have ruined Tiger Woods, SimCity, and now Plants vs Zombies.

I am very late to this party. This game gave me chills. The music, sound, and creepy atmosphere are amazing. There are 5-10 gaming moments that I remember as a kid/teen/adult. Walking into the medical pavilion for the first time is now on that list.

It is identical to NCAA 12. It isn't even a roster update like Madden. These are all fake **** fake enough. Here is an ****'t charge me $60 for a "new" game. Charge me $15 for a roster update. But don't worry **** haven't gotten a dime from me.....I buy NCAA, Madden, NHL, and Tiger Woods used.

Until I get a full game with all courses available I will not play this game or give it good reviews. That is all I ask for, a complete game. I don't want to have to download anything after I buy it.

This DLC was amazing and shocking. I went from being a fearless god in the desert to a nobody who had to hide and skulk from enemies. It was awesome. Great story and characters.

I bought Bard's Tale so I could play the original Tales of the Unknown. That was a masterpiece and an incredibly difficult game. I have always wanted to play the same game with updated graphics and newer RPG elements. This appears to be it. A lot of the negative reviews are criticizing some of the game elements such as movement and magic. I assume these are done on purpose, they want to force you to move strategically and use your environment to your advantage. They don't want you to stand in front of a monster and just hit buttons. Same with magic, they don't want you just to be able to spam fireballs, there is a penalty for setting up and using spells. I hope this is the start of an old school revolution in gaming. No game is perfect, but this is exactly the type of game I have been waiting for.

I have never played such a robust and addicting game. Everything from the armor down to the different weapon effects are brilliant. The atmosphere is dark and gloomy. It took me close to four hours to beat Ornstein/Smough, this is one of the hardest and fairest games. I am buying a PS3 just so I can play Demon Souls.
