Do Not buy this game. It does not run better than 20 frames a second and it is unplayable. I personally feel that sony should be held responsible. They should not allow their customers to purchase games of such poor quality. Its like buying am awesome looking toy only to watch it fall apart while unboxing it. Oh, and theres a no money back policy. Unacceptable Sony. Pixel Titans are developing company to be weary of. Youve been warned.

Outlast 2 has been rated unfairly. The game desrves an easy 8 for its sound, atmosphere, attention to detail, a deep story and the bravery to push gaming horror a bit further. It may not do everything correct but the good far outweigh the bad. This game is criticized unfairly as an excuse for being a crap player or an easily frustrated individual. Trial and error is NOT a good reason to say a game is bad. Look at Dark Souls. The only difference here is your dying breaks that amazing feeling you had when you were surviving. Im giving this a 10 on here as an attempt to counteract the quite frankly **** **** people that rated this anything below a seven. You people need to stop revowing games because you are trash.

Broforce

BroForce is a side-scrolling action game released first on Windows, OS X and Linux in October of 2015. It has more recently become available on PS4, March 01, 2016. It was developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital. This is the PS4 release review. BroForce is an American squad overloaded with power and testosterone. If theres a problem, these guys solve it. Like your classic 80's action movie, this games about bullets, not words. So don't expect to shed a tear during a bromance. From Rambro to Indiana Brones you'll play as many of the countless American action heroes you know and love. Each one of these hilarious characters comes with there own weapon and special technique. Upon death or rescuing a POW, you are automatically replaced with another random bro. This can sometimes be annoying if you really want to use a specific bro, but on the flip side, there isn't really a bad bro to use. They all feel really powerful in their own way and constantly switching seems to keep the game fresh. At least for a little while. Sadly, all missions feel the same and begin to get repetitive. Drop in by chopper, burn, shoot and kersplode everything you see, get back in the chopper. Repeat. Though its very entertaining to do so for a while it eventually feels like a re-run of an 80's flick. What this game really lacks however, is any in-game information. It feels very bare bones. There is no list of locked or unlocked characters. No character or enemy database. No leaderboards (as far as I've seen on the ps4 version). No ability to replay past levels. Its empty. I wanted to see if i could speed-run levels and although i probably could, it isn't really tailored in a helpful way to do so. The soundtrack for BroForce is exactly what you would expect. Heavy percussion and power metal. This is very well done and never seems to get monotonous. As for the effects, everything sounds superb. From missiles spinning through the air, to grenades, shotguns and bodies being pulverized into mush, Broforce delivers and it felt really good to hear the power in everything. Visually, there isn't anything wrong with pixelated game graphics. Its an art of its own these days, and BroForce pulls it off really well. Its colorful and diverse. Its clean cut and you know exactly what you are seeing. Its quite a beautiful thing to watch ten torched bodies fall out of an enemy base only to be exploded into a red gum or splat on the floor three decks below. Sometimes though, there is a LOT going on. Too much even. It gets a bit crowded causing deaths because you just can't find your bro in the heat of the moment or the frame-rate drops just enough to take your focus. This is especially true in Multiplayer, which is great fun with all the dismemberment and kabooms but ... Wow. Overall: If you're looking for a game to sit around for an hour or two and blow stuff up or send enemies flying into a bloody puke ball (with friends or solo), this is your game. Don't expect to stay up all night causing mayhem on this one though. BroForce seems to lose its charm a bit too quickly. 6.5 / 10 Pros: Cons: Explosive Repetitive Funny Lacks features / content Sound Frame-rate and freezing issues Pixel-gore!

Trials Fusion: Awesome Level Max
7
User ScoreChaseLeoncini
Jul 16, 2015
There has been a lot of posts wondering if Trials Fusion Awesome Max Edition is worth its price so i decided to leave a more detailed review of the game to clear up some things. First off, if you already own Trials Fusion and the Season Pass (all of the download content) then kicking the $10 bucks for ALM isnt really worth it but you'll probably do it anyway because hey, you love Trials. If you've never played Trials Fusion then ALM is definitely worth the $40, as thers is so much content youre going to get. The game in this respect deserves an 8. (Consider reading the Trials Fusion Review and then imagine all the DLC only improving upon it... Excluding 60% of ALM) Heres why: Awesome Level Max comes with 22 new tracks. 11 Redlynx levels and 11 All-Star levels (best online creator's levels). 2 of these levels are rated extreme, 1 from Redlynx the other from All-Stars. Redlynx's side includes 1 skill game. Out of the whole set there are a few gems from both sides but there are also some really poor tracks IMO. While some are great to look at they dont play well. Others are so dark they're difficult to see whats coming even after playing through them a few times. ALM is the only dlc that has levels that i actually hate (Ollie Pop being one), ill say that. If you want 10 gems out of 22 you're already on your way to purchase this so you stop here. PLEASE, just stop here. Its your only chance! Okay... The Redlynx side of levels each have 3 challenges (total of 30) but one of them for each level feels lazy (so really only 20). Each level's third mission is a simple "beat a time of 'X' on this bike to win!" This feels lazy because thats what the medals are for! The other challenges are the same as the levels, couple gems here and there but the rest... Eh. Next we have the 8 adventure levels with the awesome gun toting kitty Mittens and the fire breathing unicorn Snowy the rainbow slayer. These levels all ****... Moving on. ... No i better say why i suppose. First of all the fire breathing, gun shooting and unicorn horn are not interactive so dont expect to impale youre way through any walls or burn down a bridge. Next, its very difficult to control because it operates like a bike, not a horse, so youll be flying through the air praying you dont flip when you land. Finally, the levels are absolutely terrible in every way. Dont believe me? Ask anyone else. Redlynx, i am ashamed you spent money on that as opposed to just making more awesome levels. Okay, lets talk gear. The download comes with 2 free uniforms and the rest are MICRO-TRANSACTIONS!!!??? I just paid $10 to just have the ability to BUY the majority of the uniforms? Wow. And of course, those are all of the good uniforms. The good news is at least females now have a little more options... If they wanna kick more cash of course. They did the same thing with the bikes as well. "Here's two or three new bike skins (total) and 10 awesome ones that you can buy!" (EDIT: Awesome Level Max includes 10 more supercross levels as well as 150+ new level editor objects. Forgot to add that.) Now if you havent played Trials Fusion the $40 price tag is SO worth it for the other 160+ levels and countless challenges. You'll get online levels, Tournaments, a level creator, tons of rider and bike options, and a lot more! But this last dlc by itself? No... 6/10. Ouch. Redlynx. Ouch.

1001 Spikes
8
User ScoreChaseLeoncini
May 4, 2015
If you miss the crippling difficulty of the NES, 1001 Spikes is challenging, rewarding, and just for you. To begin, the levels after level 5 are HARD. Youll die at least 30 times just learning all of the traps. It will aggravate you and it may call for a break but any completionist will not be able to stay away too long and the crave of victory will soon be satitated. Once you do complete a level, you'll notice that with a complete understanding of the level's traps and flow it is rather simple to complete. Thus, begging you to get a faster time. If you love to speedrun. This game hits the nail on the head. Its 95% free of annoying gimmicks (darn that 5-3) and has many difficult secrets to give options on your run. Do you take the simple route and get your regular time? Or do you risk it all to shave 3 seconds? The choices! The game is also quite lengthy which is great! The second half of the game (as of this writing) has still yet to be recorded in a speed run world record (Good Luck!) ! The only downfall of this second half is it fails in diversity. The first half of the game changes themes and schemes while the second remains a (seemingly endless) blue and white. 30 levels of blue and white can be tiresome! The good news is the soundtrack and gameplay improves in the second half. Gameplay is tighter, trickier, and you must be precise in your actions to master any level. The soundtrack for the whole game is catchy but it really ups the quality in the second half. Expect no gripping story, obviously but expect hours of death and reward. Your friends will think you a God when youre running through. And someone please speed run Antarctica!

Since its original release in 1996, Resident Evil has been a hallmark in survival horror history. With its remake it only improved upon what it already was and with the remaster it remains just that: brilliant. There isnt much to say about this game as this is its 3rd time out but if you enjoyed it before you'll enjoy it now. Any game that still plays well 20+ years after creation deserves a 10/10 in my book. Goods: Its f***ing Resident Evil Bads: Ill never forget it

Survival horror has been a dying genre of late years. With the success of RE4 most franchises have traded the scares for more action based survival horror and let the settings be enough. Sadly, most of them failed miserably and we now only have one survival action horror game worth playing, The Last of Us. However, even The Last of Us is void of any truly horrifying moments. Where's the scary? Outlast has come to remind us that games can be very scary if done right. In Outlast you play a reporter who just got his big scoop on a mental asylum. You investigate the asylum to discover its horrific secrets and find yourself lurking the corners with your only weapon: a video camera. Outlast is suspenseful and eerie. The lighting (played as intended) looks amazing and the attention to detail, like bloody footprints or placing your hands on a wall make the experience feel real and terrifying. Blood and guts, bone and sinew haven't looked this good since... Probably ever. The gameplay is rather linear but still intense throughout. I found myself often turning back down a stairwell or hallway because all of the doors in that area were locked. In those cases you are reminded that you are playing a game, which is always a disappointment. Occasionally too, areas can seem like filler (sewer valve section for example) but they are always short and usually still appealing in their own way. Soon again you are awaken by another intense occurrence or unique and surprising inclusion to a video game such as necrophilism. The music in Outlast is good. The background sounds create a sense of isolation and foreboding doom as expected and the music played always seem to match your angst. Unfortunately, it seems unfinished in certain areas such as a piano tune played in the distance. Its creepy and frightening yet it seems only 8 measures long before it begins to repeat itself. Thats saddening for such a dark song. Outlast seems to only really fall short in its story. Though it isn't a disaster by any means it can go easily unnoticed by the time you reach the climax of the game. Only stopping to read pages and pages of documents will give you any clue of whats really going on at the asylum and doing so really seems to slow the pace and disconnect you for the time being. Overall, Outlasts commitment to great scares and permanent anxiety have created a unique experience that is very hard to come by. This is a must own for any survival horror enthusiast.

The Last of Us Remastered

This game is worth the 10. Naughtys Dog's attention to detail, gameplay and sound have created the best survival horror experience since Resident Evil: Directors Cut. Its like Resident Evil 4 only with an amazing story and actual scares. The acting is superb, the soundtrack is perfect, the graphics are top notch and the quality of this game comes with no complaints. As for gameplay, its connected and quick. The online feels strategy based and rewarding. The only gripe. Naughty Dog continues to rip us off. They know we cant help buying ever little update that comes out so we have to pay for things like execution animations and scopes for guns we already have? Really Naughty Dog? You are only forgiven if the money is used for The Last Of Us 2. And NOT a cheap one. It has to be better. Or you'll end up like Capcom and Konami's horror franchises.

There isnt much to this game, but thats why i love it. Remember Galaga? Move shoot, move shoot go for high score? Thats it. Same thing in Resogun. Now add amazing graphics, great boss fights, and loads of difficulties that lets face it, most of us will never even see. The only downside is there isnt more. We need more levels, more ships, more items or more humans! Theres just what you get in the immediate availability of the game... But its still sooooo addicting!

Valiant Hearts: The Great War

I can't help but feel that a game like this should have been a little darker to give a deeper feeling as to what war really is. Its cartoon appearance, though spot on beautiful, make serious situations feel empty. If the story werent so good and the history and facts so interesting i may have been only held on to by this game like a bad signal. In and out, because the gameplay isnt much of a roller-coaster. Sure, Valient Hearts has its moments. Being in the trenches and speeding away in a car but the game is mostly derived of simple puzzles that usually require getting an item to a certain spot, which can feel repetitive quite often. If the visuals had more graphic detail i know this story would have had a bigger impact on me. Im still moved by the ending but i cant cry over something i never felt truly scared of. Its taken a bit too light-hearted maybe.

Thomas Was Alone

Unfortunately the only thing that keeps this game from being an utter bore is the charming narrarator. You'll spend the first couple levels hurrying through feeling interested in the story but really its just a craving for entertainment. The "puzzles" (levels) can be mastered by my dog and many of them are tedious and extremely repetitive. You'll get a shape all the way across a map just to do it 3 more times with the other shapes. The story which has been called "beautiful" is actually quite forgettable. I found myself ahutting off the game only because i couldnt rush through another slog of 5 pieces fast enough. The graphics are nice (for pixels) and the game feels solid (though jumping can feel a little late) but overall this game will only be remembered for its first level where the narrator says "Thomas Was Alone." Thats my favorite part.

Sound Shapes

Sound Shapes is an amazing sound creating game that lets the player create anything he can think up. Sadly, it is also bug ridden, forgotten, and short lived. Sound shapes canpaign can be completed in about an hour or so. Its a fun and pleasung hour but far too short. There exosts however an online section where millions of player levels can be tried. Unfortunately the menus dont do a very good job of organizing and often times the "daily level" is up for a week. In Sound Shapes designing your own level can be thrilling and take up hours and hours, days and days of your time. Sadly too though your level can be completely erased if you dont copy at least three of the same file. Bugs ride the editor very here and sometimes even an invisible sound chip can ruin your whole song. Overall, great game but it feels unfinished and out of date. Maybe a #2 will perfect it.

Ive been playing horror games since the 90 's. I was there playing Res 1 - 4 and Silent Hill 1 - The Room and ive seen each franchise come to failure. Where did the spark go? Wherever it has gone it has definitely not returned with The Evil Within. 20 minutes into the game and you'll get a taste of how broken the game looks and feels. Movement, as well as in cinematic sequences are clunky. Your view is largely inhibited by the rather dumb protagonist. If you want scares you wont get them. The game insists that the settings themselves are terrifying. Cool yes, here is a 5, scary not at all. Shooting is not fun like it was in re4 its difficult and the camera will only get in your way... Long story short, kids love The Evil Within, adults who have been playing horror since the birth of Resident Evil will find this game extremely lackluster, clunky, cheap and utterly boring. I give this game a 5 only for it's settings and enemy creativity. Though, even all of those are old gimmicks of the horror genre.... Still, a bloody spider woman is as awesome as its ever been.
