Played about 40 hours in and one character existence really hurts the experience. The thing is I'd love to experience that solitude feeling of exploring dungeons and it's already gone. The stylized arts style is really eye catching but the amount of handholding of figuring each mechanics inside every dungeon is just terrible. TLDR : Music and graphics are awesome, but from gameplay perspective is just average nothing special.

A very lackluster experience from graphical style, gameplay (Just a turn based with out of nowhere real time placement), and also really repetitive side missions. The town itself feels like a prison rather than a living breathing environment where NPCs are just standing with their stock idle animation everywhere including all of important side character. TLDR: A really uninspired game that was designed with minimum effort in order to extort maximum profit from its fanbase.

It's just another uninspired souls slop, sekiro, and genshin monetization in one. Don't bother.

Okay, how do I start this review again? You know that scene in Ratatouille where a certain character eats a food and then goes to remembering childhood memories and stuffs? That's how it feels to play this game. If you're a fan of SMT series, you would be pleased that this game is a nod to that battle system and don't let me start on the digivolution stuffs. That's one hell of addicting system and a very good one at that. Speaking about narrative, It's a story that appeals to everyone and tackles heavy stuffs like grief, loss, determinism, survivor's guilt that can be slow at times, but there're many setup with adequate payoffs. Every digimon NPC has their own life and urgency so it's not revolving just only to the main character. The graphics itself is really amazing with the right intention cell shaded art style. By not pursuing realism, it's kind of a charming art style in a way.
