While the combat in this game is not that exciting, it more than makes up for it with its incredible storytelling and narrative. The writing in this game is phenomenal and one of the best I've seen in any video game.

In my opinion, this is the FromSoft game with the best gameplay. Fighting enemies is very difficult but also super satisfying. Hesitation is defeat.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. The gameplay is a satisfying blend of action and turn-based and the art and music are out of this world. If you are a fan of turn based RPG games then do yourself a favor and play this game.

The gameplay in this sequel is exciting, rewarding and in my opinion much better than the first game. The art, music and characters are amazing. However I feel that some of the choices made in the writing and narrative (especially the ending) are pretty lackluster. Melinoe also feels like a much less compelling and charming protagonist compared to Zagreus which is a pity.

This is an outstanding sequel to the first game, it scratches the same itch the original does while also improving the mechanics of made it good in the first place. The combat feels fluid, fast and there are a lot of tools and traps that Hornet can use to deal with enemies. The platforming feels a bit unintuitive and difficult at first but feels very satisfying to pull off when you learn it. The art and music in this game is phenomenal and in my opinion even better than the first game. My gripes are that the game feels needlessly punishing at times (Like normal enemies doing 2 masks of damage while also having a lot of health) and does not reward your efforts as much as I think it should (The bosses usually do not give any money or items). Moreover, the usage of enemy gauntlets in areas and before bosses feels a bit excessive and makes the game a lot more tedious than it needs to be. If not for these things this would have been a 10/10 for me.
