If you're looking for a new comfort watch, it's hard to beat Virgin River, which has more emotionally nuanced character development than most other shows of its kind. While other series overplay their soapier storylines, Virgin River handles them with maturity and even grace.

The seventh season of Virgin River isn’t doing much more than keeping the story moving at the pace it set back in its first season in 2019. But that’s what fans want, which is why the show will go as long as Netflix and the producers want it to go.

A wonderful TV adaption based on some of the Virgin River book series, with additions to the storylines for the TV version. Standout performance by Alexandra Breckenridge who leads the cast as Mel Monroe, a nurse practitioner who moves to Virgin River after a personal tragedy. Her co-star Martin Henderson plays Jack Sheridan, a ex marine who develops a immediate friendship and attraction to Mel and we see some wonderful moments between these two characters who light up the screen with electric on screen moments throughout the show. The storyline is well paced and the supporting cast compliments the two leads. This is a great show which hits all the right emotions and captivates the audience who are rooting for Mel and Jack from the first episode onwards. Netflix has renewed for a season 3 but this show deserves a lot more seasons - it is a binge worthy show and streaming numbers show the continued growth of its audience and appeal. Highly recommend.

Everything remains charming, good hearted, solidly made, stolidly paced and altogether restorative to one’s fractured mind and splintered spirit in these wretched times.

Aside from the parenthood storylines, this season of Virgin River felt like the writers threw spaghetti at the wall to see what would stick rather than carefully planning things out. The show bounced from story to story without smooth transitions, indicating problems with direction and editing. Plus, the plotlines were pretty lackluster due to quality-control issues.

Virgin River Season 7 settles into its status as an “automatic watch”- comfortable, predictable, and perhaps a little too content with its own monotony.

A soppy, radically inconsistent, corny and downright embarrassing soap opera.

Absolutely one of the best surprises 2019 gave us. Virgin River is quality TV series for everyone wanting to enjoy family friendly time watching Netflix. I was mad when they cancelled Anne with an E, and when they announced this I was skeptical, but the performances are fantastic and the entire cast shines on the screen. I binged on the entire two seasons and now I'm left wanting more!

I’ve been watching Virgin River, and overall, the series is decent—easy to watch, good pacing, and it has that small-town charm that keeps you coming back. But honestly, there’s one thing that really drags it down for me: the older women in the town, especially the doctor’s **** character is incredibly frustrating—judgmental, intrusive, and constantly stirring unnecessary tension. Instead of adding depth to the story, she often feels like a source of negativity that makes certain scenes hard to enjoy. It’s one of those cases where the writing pushes a character so far into being unlikeable that it almost distracts from the rest of the show.

I prefer Slut Creek. Vastly superior in every way. Slut Creek just wants to have fun, but Virgin River is judgy.
