Netflix dei slop, the series. You know what to expect from this just by the source material.

It was good at the very first but then it kept dragging on for so long I skipped through most of the show and quit at the third episode.

Thank god this has finally ended. The first two seasons were amongst the best TV series ever and a tribute to one of the great 20th Century novels but after that it just went downhill, especially when Elisabeth Moss was allowed to direct. Her episodes were egotistical in the extreme mostly consisting of extreme close-up shots of her looking angry. A classic case of a fine actor who couldn't direct the Thames past Westminster Bridge. The major problem was that the series just became dull and repetitive: June escapes and then decides, for no logical reason to go back to Gilead. There is clearly something wrong when the antagonist, Serena Joy, is more interesting than the heroine. Let's hope that the projected prequel 'The Testaments' is better.

Every single left wing message you can imagine is pumped into this show. Every piece of social engineering you can imagine. I am on season 2 and the only thing it is missing is white men being racist. Every main villain is white and are white couples. Every "good" person are LGBTQ or interracial couples. The LGBTQs are oppressed, the Muslims are oppressed (go to the Middle East and look how Muslims treat Christians), and women are horribly oppressed. The fact that we have poor Muslims being oppressed in the show really is the best thing to point out because the entire show is absurd like this. This is not even close to reality. Reality is the exact opposite. Everything in the show is pretty much like this. It pushes "THE MESSAGE" right in your face and only the gullible and ignorant will eat it up. It's the worst kind of fear mongering because it has no semblance of truth in it. Good dystopian stories revolve around things that you could actually see happening. But putting aside all of the messaging, which I actually did do..... the show is actually just not strong. The pacing is horrible. Long and drawn out scenes that I can only describe as fluff are rampant. Long and drawn out close ups on people's faces are everywhere and every interaction is stilted and awkward. Is June (Of Fred) afraid or is she defiant? You can't have both. She is disrespectful and weird to Serena when she could try to better her situation and be kind. And yet she is supposed to be afraid? Which leads me to the worst part of the show: June Osbourne, or the actress who plays her, is absolutely unbearable. Why do the showrunners think that we want to watch this woman have sex with anyone? Sex scenes are all over the place and there really is no reason for it. But that's beside the point; June is a terrible actress and watching her is painful. She over acts in almost every scene she is in. There is some good acting in the show and I do like the dystopian setting. But June is not the protagonist I want to follow in this story. Especially in a show where most of the thrill you might get comes from your connection with the characters. I don't connect with June at all; she is just flat out unlikeable. It's that simple. P.S: We are going into a left wing dystopia not a right wing one. People are being put into jail for saying offensive things in Western nations across the world. Specifically the UK. I could go on and on but whatever. If you really think that some religious lunatics like the ones in this show could actually take over the US, you are likely totally conditioned and brainwashed and have no idea what is actually going on. The machine just tried to assassinate Trump because he is a threat to their power. Just like they took down JFK. That's the actual reality we are living in.

Boring, uncreative and very predictable electric boogaloo product. It is so absurd to watch it in 2023 in the era of totalitarian mass-media and social networks (controlled by corporations which are farming your feelings and time) that it is an experience in itself. The writers tried to boo scare us with right wing totalitarian state but somehow we are going into the complete opposite of their fantasy.

Can’t wait to see more. This is a must watch completely related to what is happening in America slowly. This is awakening and thrilling at the same time. Keeps you hooked for a easy binge watch!

A little bleak for a comedy. Also, hard to believe the men haven't won after how many seasons?

Still should have ended as a limited series or with season 2. The latest outing was just far from its emmy status.

Elizabeth Moss and the dystopian view of the American evangelist world that many of them would love to see come to fruition just keeps on giving. Yes, the second and third episodes continue to inhabit that world, and it's like an opioid.

Great story and cast. So well written and the actors are for the most part amazing. Very dark but kept me waning more. Can’t wait to see where it goes!

While the show is probably good, I am tired as heck of having to adjust the volume from maximum to hear the show to minimum as my ears are all but bleeding from the commercial volume. If a show is to be considered as "watchable" it needs to have a volume set so that spoken words can be heard without requiring subtitles to decipher what that whisper was, and close enough to commercial volumes to avoid the instant headache of some insurance ad SCREAMING AT YOU TO BUY SOMETHING NOW!! This is a norm for Hulu, and makes this show, like all the rest on this channel, virtually unwatchable. Shame, it looks like it might be good. WISH I COULD HEAR IT!

This show must have ended with season 1. The character June has become monotonous and it has reached the point where viewers want her die. Too much feminism in the show. June's repeated facial expressions and her attitude are irritating. She is self centered.. Worst ever show I have watched in my life. She gets on nerves. She is thankless selfish feminist racist women who uses others sacrifice for her benifit.

Slow, sometimes boring, and moralistic, but not hopelessly bad. I think Moss was a bad choice for the lead, though I thought she was just right in Mad Men. The premise of this show is what gets me. In a time when the Western World careers toward the brink of insanity and self-destruction, this show panders to those fog-bound souls who fear revanchist religiosity and conservatism. What could be more unlikely? It seems to me that totalitarian control of our personal lives is indeed a danger, but it's coming from a very different quarter. But that aside, this show moves too slowly and milks moments of pathos. One feels manipulated, pressured to feel something. The situations are often indeed harrowing, but the heavy-handedness of their treatment detracts and distracts from one's genuine response to them.

You should watch!!! One of the best series that I have watched. There are some aspects that doesn't connect with the reality, I think that we really pass thru the problem that the serie shows, the women will not submit the situation that they experience in this serie. Though, the serie shows what the women struggle nowadays and some doesn't care for it, cause the victim think that the aggressor is right by judging by dogma.

Season 1 amazing. Season 2 crashed and burned hard, far too little plot progression. Didn't bother with Season 3.

This has to be the biggest crap show i've ever seen. It's like some sick fantasy for housewives.

Excellent series of a dystopian future USA, with solid acting and plot. A bit small in scope and could broaden the world a little more.

Riveting and nail-bitingly addictive! Hopefully this doesn’t happen in real life in the future.

This show could achieve greatness if not for the tone deafness in the final minutes of nearly every episode, i.e. "We need a bigger boat" and curious song choices that aspire to be counterpoint but miss miserably. Acting, direction, soundtrack and production value are first rate. The writing struggles week to week, and I could argue that the show went off the rails when June did not leave Gilead at the end of season 2. Still it's inspired work.

You know how The Walking Dead most episodes end in a serious cliffhanger while the rest of the episode was completely boring and inconsequential? Well, The Handmaids Tale is like that, only instead of a cliffhanger, is the protagonist rabid face staring directly to the camera right after something unfortunate happened to her. Every single episode of this show is an utterly waste of time, the promise of what this show could have been after a very intriguing first season, was smashed to pieces across its second season and its stupid nonsensical way of moving storylines forward, and the third season is just the most pretentious and frustrating series I have watched on TV. The show's abuse of slow-mo's, wanna-be-artistic shots and close-ups to the protagonist, in the middle of totally irrelevant scenes is unbearable, NOTHING EVER HAPPENS, not even when there are a ton of motives, the only thing you are gonna get over and over, is Elizabeth Moss's angry face.

While the show itself seems well produced and clearly has a decent cast - the material on which it is based is just not to my taste... I guess for me a 'post apolcaypctic' world has to follow a certain logic for me to buy into it. The world building logic leaps here are plentiful and noticeably **** in their execution. If you aren't fussed about the logic of the world and just want to immerse yourself in a fantasy (albeit nightmarish!) this may well be perfect for you.

The handmaid's tale é o retrado do cenário atual em que vivemos de forma subtil, a serie aborta temas importantes e delicados, tudo isso com uma fotografia impecável e atuações excelentes.
