Simply compare all the iterations of the Addams Family, this one is macabre but incredibly loving, hopeful, exuding positive energy. The subsequent ones are entirely inferior ranging from sarcastic to plain psychopathic. The acting is spot on, fun light and delightful, the rest is also great: music, costumes, sets, photography. So much fun watching all these old episode, despite being filmed almost 60 years ago, it is still fresh and funny: quite an accomplishment!
