Sullivan's Crossing

Sullivan's Crossing season 4's strong first two episodes prove that the series has finally found its stride after its first three seasons.

We think with the introduction of some new characters, Sullivan’s Crossing will get past the lost of Patterson and the full drift into Maggie’s love life, a plotline that just makes us shrug.

If you’ve been hankering for another heaping helping of slow-moving, romantic drama a la Virgin River, then Sullivan’s Crossing should help satisfy that craving.

I found “Sullivan’s Crossing” perfectly pleasant and at least once surprising. To be sure, surprise is not what such shows are built on, soapy melodrama notwithstanding; they run on the fulfillment of expectations — there’s just enough tension to move things along, but not so much as to make you sweat or fret.

A very Hallmark-style light drama.
