Season 2 is set shortly before the beginning of Revenge of the Sith. It is a last adventure before the events start and you will also see how the battle for Coruscant started. Just as remark: Firstly do not confuse this with the later Clone Wars show as it is a different show. Secondly here on Metacritic season 2 is actually season 3 of the show and the first two seasons were labeled as season 1. It is a bit confusing but I think it was released in that order or is a just a mistake. Season 2 consist of 5 episodes each 12 minutes long. It deals with the aftermath of the humiliating defeat of the Jedi by General Grievous who is a badass here that makes the later incarnation look pathetic, a final adventure for Anakin and Obi Wan and the start of the battle of Coruscant that is continued in Revenge of the Sith. The stories are immersive and enjoyable. Alone the adventure o Nelvaan is worth watching but we get also all Jedi masters in action. I was amazed what they put into this short run time. It might be just an hour but is filled to the brim with character development, interesting stories and battles. The animations have improved since the beginning but it was not the strongest side of the show. However the style and ascetics were great and had won me over long before. It laid the foundation for the later new Clone Wars show and is acclaimed by fans and critics. I fully agree as they showed what is possible and surpassed my expectations. Overall this is a great addition to Star Wars and remarkable example what can be done with a smaller budget but with heart and passion. Might not be canon any more but is still amazing to watch.

Genndy Tartokovsy's Clone Wars Volume Two is just as flawless as the previous. This continues the story of Anakin and other Jedi. And also just like the previous, this uses a lot less dialogue and more action to tell the story. I really loved how the final scene of the volume leads right into the beginning of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

El general Grivous es un personaje a temer. Se siente como una verdadera maquina asesina de Jedi, capaz de esquivar ataques con la fuerza, es la ostia. 09/10

This season makes solid ties between the movie and this microseries as we get to see Anakin's transition to Vader play out and get some insight as to why.
