While the misanthropy can be a little overwhelming at times and the balance between the Korvo/Terry plots and the wall feels off at times in both years, there’s an ambitious unpredictability to the writing on “Solar Opposites” that elevates it in every episode.

As inventive as “Solar Opposites” is in spurts, Season 2 shows how much the main four characters are relatively indistinguishable from each other. ... The main exception is Jesse (Mary Mack), who emerges as the main Season 2 bright spot.

This season is just as funny as the prior season, and doesn't lose any momentum, although having seen Rick and Morty I know Justin Roiland can do better and amaze.

Solar Opposites’ second season is a heaping helping of everything from the first season, but spread even thicker; whether or not the increasingly snide perspective its characters share will get even harsher in season three is a question even the denizens of the Wall can’t foresee.

I loved the B-side story of shrunken people, it feels like a game of thrones spin off with a touch of walking dead and is really well written. The alien main characters on the other hand are irreverent whimsical roiland clichés that arent disappointing despite their lack of individuality from Rick & morty. Definitely worth watching for the wall storyline alone.
