Shoresy

If Shoresy isn't the most improbable character in TV history to get a spinoff at all — much less an excellent one — then he's very high on the list. He was barely a character at all on Letterkenny. But that relative blank slate, plus the fact that he was being played by the guy doing much of the writing, in hindsight made him the ideal choice. Keeso could have done anything with him. Improbably, he made him the center of a show that's equally ridiculous and heartfelt, and that seems to have eclipsed the popularity of the prior series.

It's the anti-Ted Lasso. ... It's a perfect addendum for Letterkenny fans but also the ideal one-off that will serve as an entryway for future Letterkenny fans.

“Shoresy” may have lost some of its rabid comic intensity over the years, but its ribald riffs on brotherly love can still grab your attention in unpredictable ways.

Already adding more layers of emotion into the show’s usual rapid-fire dialogue. Keeso is great at the loudmouthery in Shoresy, and the heady hockey-centric stuff. But between the lines of season 4, it really feels like the sensitivity that’s steadily grown within Keeso’s performance will become the biggest factor.

Season 4's bits are (so far) another batch of bangers with minor stumbles.

I don’t think I ever doubted that Keeso and Tierney would find a way to make Shoresy puerile and they absolutely deliver. What’s more impressive is how the series uncovers its own brand of cleverness and wordplay, rarely as smart or charming as the conversations between Wayne, Daryl, Squirrelly Dan and Katy, but varied enough that the new show isn’t exclusively locker room humor. ... It’s got much more depth than I expected.

Only if you’re a Letterkenny fan and love watching Shoresy curse between tobacco spits. Otherwise, SKIP IT, because the show isn’t that funny.

A show about hockey players... by hockey players. It's no surprise there's several former pro hockey players acting in this show... everything about it screams genuine. The characters, cinematography and sound design is absolutely on point. Diverse, interesting cast. Offensive but wholesome. This is TV done right.

Wasn't sure what to expect going in, but utterly loved it. Would not have any kind of problems with a Season 2.

I wanted to hate it because it is a spin off but it was just so good. Works as a great comedy and sports show. Some of visuals in the show are just amazing as well. Can't recommend enough.

It is an acquired taste for sure and from a European point of view that know NOTHING about Canada, Hockey and hardly get any references... I am hooked. (like Letterkenny)

Great hockey show, great comedy and likeable characters. I just wish it was longer.
