Score: 9.6 An Epic show, watching this as i grew up i remember that final episode just being soo crazy, i had to pause it multiple times... i have to do a rewatch as an adult to see if it holds up

Turned it off pretty soon into the first episode. We are supposed to be on our knees **** on every word from Sherlock right from the beginning. Forget character development, forget proving himself, don't worry about good cinema or TV. Instead, bow down to Sherlock because they picked some blue eyed male model actor whom has a very limited range so they make sure he just does goofy 1 liners and high pitched 'i'm better than you ' overtones to everything he says. The real Sherlock involved there being crimes to solve but also gave the viewer a chance to digest the plot and see some of the evidence. This show is the equivalent of a sex crimes unit TV show where they receive a phone call and without hearing their voice he says 'condom in the cellar under the mossy piece of concrete'. It makes no sense, it's just rubbish TV for new generations of low-IQ low attention span idiots.

Pas fan ni des séries anglaises, ni de Sherlock Holmes,cette série m'a pourtant émerveillé. Moderne et réinventée, courte avec son format 3 épisodes par saison, les trois acteurs principaux sont devenus des stars grâce a la série et c'est totalement justifié (mention a Andrew Scott, sublime Moriarty). Drôle, émouvante, choquante et parfois totalement WTF, 4 saisons et un spécial avec peut-être un seul regret, un épisode final (?) Et des choix auxquels on adhérera ou pas sur la résolution du cliff de S3 certes résolus pour "terminer" sans faux espoir si il ne devait pas y avoir de S5 un jour, mais perso je n'ai pas aimé ceci justement. La résolution méritait mieux et un autre scénario, je pense. Mais globalement... foncez vous ne le regretterez pas !!

It is a pity that the Victorian stories have not been successfully transferred to the present day. The series suffocates in anachronisms (such as telephone books and payphones), imitating the original stories, but so clumsily that it comes across as stilted. This has gotten worse 13 years after its release. No, you don't want to view this unless you switch off your thinking apparatus.

The show consists of Sherlock Holmes mostly being rude to people and occasionally revealing he's figured something out with his magical powers. To keep viewers watching, the show relies on plot twists to build anticipation of something great, but never delivers.

As a huge fan not only of the stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but also of the portrayals given by Basil Rathbone and Jeremy Brett, I saw Sherlock. And to be honest, and I don't know why, but I was expecting to hate it. What a big surprise! Sherlock was surprisingly brilliant, and made my week when it was on. (I said the same thing about Luther too by the way) Why did I love it? Well, it was fresh and exciting not to mention hugely entertaining. Though I have to agree I wished there was more and I hope there is more in the future. Visually, Sherlock scores highly. The photography is skillful, the sets are lovely and the costumes are beautifully tailored. The music is another strong asset, not just the clever main theme but the haunting and beautiful background music too. I found the stories very engaging, with a nice balance of humour, mystery and adventure, with the reveal of Moriaty both "campy" and chilling and each episode moving very briskly, and the writing is top notch being humorous and intriguing. The direction is rock solid as well, and the characters are still very likable. Holmes is still charismatic and intelligent, and Watson authoritative and charming. The acting is very well done too, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman perfect as Holmes and Watson and Rupert Graves great as Lestrade. And while some may disagree, I personally had little problem with Mark Gatiss writing himself as Mycroft. In conclusion, hugely entertaining and fun take on the great literary detective, and I think it is a must even if you like the stories or not. 10/10 Bethany Cox

season 1-3 is honestly like an 11? season 4 might drop down to a 7/10, but even the worst episode was still semi enganging, and s4e2 was insane, top tier in my opinion. truly a masterpiece.

This series is perfect. It is without a doubt the best series I have ever watched, I recommend it to everyone who likes a good mystery. The performances are very good, especially from Benedict Cumberbatch, who incorporated the character in a sensational way.

This show was so awesome, it's one of favorites, love how they take place in modern-day London and I love how Sherlock act really well, it's a masterpiece, a mystery masterpiece.

Short and breathtaking. Number 1 is The Blacklist Number 2 is Sherlock for me.

I was a bit skeptical about the idea of mixing such a classic story with the modern world, but I can say without a doubt that this risky idea was executed brilliantly.

It's really good, it always makes you a wrong corner, every episode explains the previous episode and you get confused, come on, you do it dear or something.

I only saw the 1st season and dont want to watch further. First I dont like Benedict Cumberbatch and second the dramatic elements are ridiculous for me, for example when the show explains some conclusions too fast or the action parts.

Uma série incrível e muito bem feita e elaborada. Uma pena que ao decorrer das temporadas, foi focando mais nas relações humanas e perdendo um pouco da essência do que aprendemos a amar no começo.

Brilliant; absolutely brilliant. What's interesting about this modern Sherlock is that it doesn't only showcase his intellectual and mystery-solving abilities, but explores a human side of him, exposing a vulnerability present in the best of us.
