MythBusters

Watching MythBusters was an experience I will never forget, and the term "Masterpiece" does not do Mythbusters justice. What this show did over its 13 year run from 2003 to 2016 (and I watched it all the way from start to finish) was explain the scientific method to the masses in extremely simple, fun, and engaging way, and inspired a generation of future scientists and engineers. The chemistry between the five main presenters/MythBusters of Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and the late Grant Imahara is something that you cannot create or recreate, it only comes organically after being on the same show for so many years. What an amazing and unique experience this show truly was.

One of the best and most entertaining TV shows ever made. The Mythbusters are testing urban legends, film tropes, myths, proverbs and real life events with lot of fun and explosions. There are 2 reasons that make this show so good. The first one is the host / team. Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage are awesome. Both have multiple talents and worked as special effects designers for the movie industry They were employed by Industrial Light and Magic which is an achievement in this industry. You should look at their Wikipedia articles because its too much to write down here. Their chemistry is amazing because they are nearly their polar opposites. Jamie is more the calm, no nonsense character with dry humor and Adam is more the hyper active, funny and spontaneous guy. Then there is the (Build) Team later promoted to full Mythbusters with Scottie Chapman, later replaced by Kari Byron, Tory Bellecci and Grant Imahara. All have great talents, their own personality and work well together. I nearly forgot our favourite Mythbuster. Buster the crash test dummy. He got a lot of punishment during the test. I feel sorry for him. Then there are the myths which were tested and evaluated with plausible, confirmed or busted. The show had many season so I will only list my favourite myths: Escape from Alcatraz based on the famous real live escape, the duct tape myths (they build a boat, a bridge etc), the Walking Dead special, can you shoot a bullet with a bend barrel (surprising result), ancient dead ray (Based on legend of Archimedes), the movie myths (Hollywood on test), underwater car, the Star Wars special, the Titanic myths, the Hindenburg test, bring a knife to a gun fight, the Indiana Jones myths, bamboo torture, the James Bond special, the Mac Guyver myths and bullet prove water. An highlight were the two episodes Crimes and Myth Demeanour, . They tested the movie cliches. Like air duct infiltration, laser beams, motion detectors, finger print scanners, safe cracking methods, thermal motion sensor (Even The Predator method;-), the ninja myths and so much more. I noticed that the list will be to long for this review. This is the clearest sign **** show. If you haven't watched the show you have missed some of the best entertainment and jaw dropping experiments on TV with fun and garnished with explosions (When in doubt uses C4;-).

On a recent motor episode, the boys busted a story about speed over rough roads originating in Australia. I am from Australia and I can g'tee, they did it wrong. Our problem is corrugated roads and most certainly, the faster we travel, the smoother the ride is.
