The Zoe Saldaña-led spy thriller’s sophomore run is fantastic, and stands as one of the year’s best TV shows.

Season 2 is certainly a step in the right direction for this series and leads us to hope Sheridan will pursue more thriller projects in the future.

You will be on the edge of your seat with this fast paced, action packed show. Talented cast and strong performance from all. Genesis Rodriguez and Layla De Oliveira did amazing jobs along with Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman. Absolutely loved the show and all the action sequences. I really enjoyed season 2 but definitely wish it had been a little longer. Hoping for a part 2 of the season 2 finale although I doubt it will happen. The season 2 finale definitely left viewers wanting more. Also hoping the show doesn't take a year break between now and the next season. We are all ready for more NOW!

Season two of Special Ops: Lioness is everything I wished the first season had been—fast-paced, intense, and gripping from the very first scene. The storyline feels like it’s ripped right out of today’s headlines. Plus, there is more of the action we love, exactly how one would imagine a real special ops team would operate. Season 2 started off with a big bang, lets hope the rest of the season delivers on that promise.

There’s still plenty of shooting and other action in the second season of Lioness, but at least now Sheridan understands that his stellar cast can do a whole lot more than grimace and hold a gun.

Significantly better than season one. That is if you actually want a military drama. The family drama aspects of the show get toned down a lot in place of actual action scenes and a homeland style plot. The only thing that may put some people off is the idea of the cartel being as big a threat to the USA as Iran or China.

The second season marks a significant departure from its initial style, pivoting towards a more action-oriented direction. While this shift isn't inherently negative, it does place the show in direct competition with a plethora of similarly themed series. Unfortunately, this change also highlights some shortcomings in character development. When attempts are made to delve deeper into the characters, the results are often underwhelming and lack depth. A particular grievance is the repetitive focus on Joe's family. This subplot, which once added layers to Joe's character, now feels overused and stagnant. To keep the series fresh and engaging, it might be wise to minimize this angle in future episodes. Despite these issues, the action sequences are well-executed and is a some what enjoyable season.

Why do they have the husband character at all? It is so forced. Stick to the action and leave the family junk out of it. Gratuitous sex scenes are fine but that is what they are. The action is what this show should be about. Shoot 'em up. Bang Bang. Period end

Lioness Season 2 is an absolute mess, and not in a fun, chaotic way—more like a “did anyone actually direct this?” kind of way. The dialogue is laughably bad, like it was generated by an AI trained exclusively on bad action movie clichés. Every conversation feels forced, unnatural, or just plain unnecessary. And when the characters aren’t spewing nonsense, they’re yelling. Constantly. If you took a shot every time someone screamed instead of speaking like a normal human being, you’d pass out halfway through episode **** direction is somehow even worse. It’s like someone told the cast that volume equals intensity, so instead of building tension or emotion, everyone just shouts their way through every scene. Subtlety? Never heard of her. Instead of dramatic moments landing with weight, they just come off as exhausting. I started to wonder if the sound crew had to wear earplugs on **** only saving grace? The action scenes—when they actually happen. And trust me, you’ll be begging for them, just for a break from all the nonsense. They’re well-done, exciting, and make you wonder how a show that gets that right can get everything else so painfully wrong. But unfortunately, they’re too few and far between, leaving the majority of the season a loud, chaotic, and deeply frustrating **** the end of the day, Lioness Season 2 is what happens when a show mistakes yelling for drama and clunky exposition for good writing. If you love well-crafted action with a compelling story, go watch something else. But if you enjoy watching people scream at each other for no reason in between the occasional cool fight scene, well… you might be in for a treat.

The main series objective, masked by lots of explosions, is to show smart, capable women being consistently superior to dumb, hesitant subordinate men. What a dream world of antiterrorist effort. Please. Just let reality rear it’s ugly head every now and then.
