Love the Hole Detective. He’s very thorough. No hole is left undetected in this series.

Never ending series. Instead of 9 episodes maybe 5. Below average. Long winded. Not worth the time.

I have read all of Jo Nesbo's books and this production is spot on. It is a faithful adaptation. Everything from the look, music and pacing are excellent. All the actors do a great job, especially Joel Kinnaman as the villian. Looking forward to the next installment.

A suspenseful drama with compelling characters. The story itself seems to already reveal the charismatic culprit, but it keeps turning into new directions to hold your interest.

I found the series too drawn out. 9 episodes were too excessive. 6 or 7 episodes would have been much better. The mystery and its development towards resolution are quite interesting, but it only really starts to grab the viewer's attention from episode 5 onwards. I also really liked the cast. Joel Kinnaman is phenomenal as the villain.

Detective Hole is a subtly acted mystery thriller that builds surely and inexorably to a couple of gut-punching climaxes. It’s clever, surprising, moody, disturbing and increasingly compelling as characters are given time to develop and invite empathy— even the darkest one. I have seen dozens of works in this genre, but Detective Hole distinguishes itself as exceptional and original.

Harry Hole. Mommy died when he was a kid. First girlfriend liked herself. Smokes, as a proper role model to a video game addicted 10 year old. Battles alcoholism. Body physique of an Olympian. Better shot that 007. Gets better. The corrupt cop lives in penthouse, overlooking Oslo (?). Drives a Lotus. Utter B movie nonsense stretched to, what else, a netflix series. Oh, all this was all on the first episode.

Unfortunately, synthetic writing and some really bad CGI keeps this show from being a decent watch. There are some decent performances here, but they can't sell a universe for this idiot plot to function within.
