This dwarf [Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage)] has game--and so does this fabulous dark fable. Dig in.

I mostly loved Game of Thrones, but occasionally grew a little weary of it as well. (And just to answer the obvious question, this is not a small-screen "Lord of the Rings.")

Season 1 is a masterpiece and deserves a "10". Character development, story, actors, atmosphere. Everything is elite level. Its a pity the show couldnt close as strong as it started. They rushed one of the best shows ever, its criminal. Its a must see though!

Densely plotted and epic in scope, full of graphic violence and lots of sex, it's tremendously entertaining.

The art direction, acting and incredible sets are as breathtaking as the massive scope of the series. A bit slow at first, but it's a grabber once you get into it.

Game of Thrones is a show worth watching based on a book worth reading.

Those who love the books will probably geek out on the series. The rest of us may have a harder time sitting through Game of Thrones.

The production has a satisfyingly brooding, ominous look and it's possible to see the basic appeal for role-players and other fans of a realm that provides a limitless playing field for their own imaginations. Thrones also has wolf pups, which is always cool. But then we're back to the familiar favorites of the infantile.

Such a waste. That show could be best TV show ever. Instead, we get a poor write, disappointing story for 12 yo, brainwashed and full of clishes. So sad. 281 wyświetleń

First season - phenomenal. Second season - downgrade. Third to fifth season - can't recall specifics, many things without purpose. Getting boring. Season six - more lies, what a surprise. Season seven - only a setup. It's a shame that they brought down this once mighty "house". Not that the story is bad but in the end it's a lot of the same. I can skip a majority of an episode without missing a lot and that for a lot of seasons. I was thinking a lot "come get it over with" during my "watch". The end-goal is interesting - still - but they made the way there a grind. Certainly not all of it but the longer it continued the harder I wanted it to end. This is not quality. If you made it till the last season you want to see it end, that's all. You will get excitement out of it but - everything before a "but" is bullsh... - i wished they would have gone with less.

The sad story of what started as a smart and promising show subverting fantasy trope and using consequences in both a clever and choking way. Unfortunately it then slowly but surely descended into the hellish depth of empty filler episodes, story convenience and plot armor so thicc Nicki Minaj will soon write a song about it. Don't get me wrong, the first 3 seasons are great, 4 and 5 are meh, but then be ready for 3 seasons of pure disappointment culminating in a morbid feast of blank dialogues, cheap jump scare, bad CGI and deus ex machina ad nauseam. It was almost great.

Now I can't claim to be an expert on Game of Thrones because I have only seen the pilot episode, however, that one episode alone was enough for me to not want to watch a second, and develop a rather strong disliking for the acclaimed series. Game of Thrones is disturbing. Very, very disturbing, and not in a good way, if there is one. In the pilot episode alone there was so much sexual violence and cruelty to women that I felt sick to my stomach. I have heard from friends who watch the series that this never gets any less. So you take a woman, make her a victim based on her gender and then give her the ability to control dragons and now you have a "deep" and powerful heroin. No, you have a victim who has been abused and now has the ability to control dragons. I cannot condone sexual violence in entertainment media. When you have writers capable of creating a show as original and with as much depth and story as Game of Thrones, it bewilders me how they have to resort to sexual violence and the demeaning and objectification of women in order to enthrall theirs viewers. Tell me, anyone who watches the show, what exactly would Game of Thrones be losing if it did not incorporate such hideous acts of violence against women? Are these central elements to the show? Well, I couldn't get past them, and I wasn't about to stomach any more of it when there are plenty of other shows that don't have it.
