I found this [final] episode to be the weakest, if only because it felt rushed. I wish it had been longer. Still, the series leaves us with much to contemplate, which is what any great documentary should do.

Eyes On The Prize III: We Who Believe In Freedom Cannot Rest 1977-2015 is a compelling companion series to the 1987 original, putting the civil rights movement into a modern context through the stories of the people at its forefront.
