The funniest show on TV is back for its final season. ... The show is as fantastic as it always was. ... It's a fitting end to the chapter and thankfully it hasn't lost any of its charm, punchy dialogue, or hilarious performances during the time off.

If someone told me a few years ago "the best comedy series of this decade actually takes place in Ireland in the 90s, during the Troubles" I wouldn't have believed it. But after three short (but compact) seasons I can easily say, it definitely is. I wish I could watch it again for the first time. I've never laugued so hard (and also cried on a few particular episodes) in any other show recently.

This is one of the best things I've watched in ages. So much so that I binged the entire thing in a weekend. It manages to be absolutely hilarious but also quite poignant. There were a few times I was surprised at some of the emotional moments. In the very short space of time, I became quite invested in the characters. And honestly, that's a rare quality in a TV show these days. The finale was probably one of the best endings I've ever seen. I was honestly sad when I looked to see when season 4 would air only to find out that 3 was the end. I'm going to miss the people of Derry.

That is the fairytale quality of Derry Girls: we all recognise the hysterical pitch of teenage emotions, but the stakes are kept reassuringly low. The peace process rumbles on in the background with the abstract grandeur of history; in the foreground are all the other, much funnier, troubles associated with growing up. Nothing of importance ever happens, but that nothing happens very importantly.

McGee manages to preserve the tone that makes Derry Girls not only gratifyingly profane but also profound: conflict and terror may continually loom, but the finer points of teenage life always take precedent.

This show is freaking hilarious. I was bored at first looking to waste time, started watching and laughed my ass off. I hope they do 10 seasons and I’m in the US. These girls are Awesome!

Emotional and funny. You get blast from the 90s in the backdrop of the Troubles. Not every joke landsperfectly but that is allowed considering the sheer volume. Fast paced, easy to watch and pulls at your heart strings at the right moments. Always worth a watch.

Do you love gross stereotypes played ad nauseam? I don't, and that's why I rate this "comedy" a big fat 0. Didn't find any redeeming quality to it: acting is terrible, story is unbelievably bad, decors and costumes are meh, photography is mediocre.
