While it’s Eddie and Dulcie that command the storyline, a menagerie of brilliantly written and acted townsfolk and lower-ranking police round out the picture beautifully.

Two seasons in, I remain unsure whether the show might be better without her [Eddie], or whether she makes up a big part of its gloriously bedevilled, wonky spirit. Either way, here’s hoping for a third.

The second season of Deadloch continues to be a darkly funny series with a fun pair of mismatched detectives who strangely work very well together.

Deadloch is a show that doesn’t make fun of murder, but has a lot of fun with the people investigating the murders, along with everyone who might be a suspect, and does so in a pretty entertaining way.
