What's best about Catastrophe is how engaging the characters of Rob and Sharon are, and how quickly we come to root for them.

There's nothing revolutionary here, but man, what is here is some of the funniest, most soulful TV of the summer.

Probably the greatest comedy of all time on TV in depth and hilarity combined. It's like a movie that's been expanded into several seasons and we all know how hard that is to do. Could be why they are ending the show now, my heart is crushed but thanks for the memories! Curb Your Enthusiasm, Always Sunny, I'm Sorry, Rick and Morty, Bojack, Seinfeld; all my favorite shows until this 'marvel of genius'. They still are, I just think this show is brilliant beyond imagine!

Perfection. Funny, sad, relatable, ridiculous. Can’t wait for it to come back.

While it does have structure to its episodes, with choices being made that keep things from ever feeling static, it's, at heart, a character piece; one which only really comes to life when Rob and Sharon are in the room together.

Like all good sitcom characters, they sometimes drive us nuts. But we fall for them both and would like very much for this long shot to come in.

Like last summer's happy surprise of an FX comedy, "You're the Worst," Amazon's latest show is the opposite of its title: It's anything but a Catastrophe.

Racy, amiable and honest, Catastrophe doesn’t feel the need to amp up its story with surprises either. It just does the exact thing it’s supposed to.

Mr. Delaney and Ms. Horgan, as writers and actors, are able to make most of the serious moments believable and bearable, even touching (though the twist ending of the season finale feels like a miscalculation). And while the show’s humor, alternately subtle and pummeling, doesn’t always click, each episode has its moments.

I identify with the show in very many ways. I know why people would be critical of it and it's the same reason they would be critical of me. I think that's what the show is all about. Just smart people living their lives.

A romantic comedy film premise in a TV show. You'd think it would be horrible, but its surprisingly very fun and light hearted. The show is realistic enough to be interesting with the characters quirky enough to be engaging.

instantly gripping. a phenomenal comedy that doesn't beat around the bush engaging you with its whirlwind romance at a breakneck pace hat the characters themselves seem to barely adjust too. its such a treat to stumble upon a really great gem like this that so readily sticks itself amongst your favorites.

Catastrophe's pilot is comedic gold, but its sexually explicit humor and overall direction slowly loses its spark after the second episode. I had difficulty feeling attached to what the show represents (a mid-life crisis founded on a mock-worthy accident or the dramatic aftershock of an unrealistic relationship). The actors do an impeccable job, but I feel uncomfortable with the capricious pacing they have to work with.

A promising premise, but I just can't get into it. Doesn't help that the two leads leave me cold, with the female lead being an especially large boat anchor, IMHO.
