It had some good moments but struggled to find that DC formula was missing and cast going different directions made it especially hard to watch.

Batwoman is a good show. Season 2 and 3 were the best season. They need one more season so they can at least get closure.

Terrible acting with rotten plot. I push myself to say anything positive but my English is not enough to describe the regret I felt wasting my 1 hour on this.

I found the show somewhat comfy, despite its flaws. That said, it feels rushed, joyless and by the numbers. Bad numbers. I like Alice and Mary, and the show probably should be exclusively about them, since everyone else is thoroughly uninteresting, including the lead character. The show has some budget, lots of source material, and a pleasant distance to any expectations. Same as the She-Ra remake. And everything that went well there is missing here. No passion, no sense of adventure, no conflict below the surface, no stakes, nothing to say, no interest to take a risk or do anything except collecting a paycheck. But if the people making the show obviously don't care - why should I? And I want to add: It feels a lot like the show tries to compensate its lack in depth by dabbling in really serious topics, like child abuse or mental illness. And my tip is: don't.

She's homeless and living in a van and a plane lands near her and she gets the suit and magically becomes a super hero. No training, no martial arts montages, nothing. No, I'm not making this up. Sadly, it's not so bad it's good, it's just bad.

I thought the first season was a little weak, I didn't like Ruby Rose's acting and the scripts were pretty weak. Now in season two again I found the scripts ridiculous until the part where she suffers from Kryptonite poisoning. Finally for me the writers came back to lucidity and put the lot of action. All that's left is to arrest Alice, who is getting annoying. I think it will be a shot in the foot if they don't finish her cycle this second season. Let her be arrested, she comes back about three seasons ahead, but now it's not possible anymore. That's my opinion.

I know some of the actress and actors are trying, but the writing is so bad, and there is absolutely no respect for the source material. And in top of that, the forced inclusion, the preachy tone of almost every line of dialogue, and the hateful take on everyone nor part of a minority, makes this one of the worst series i´ve ever seen

This is what happens when you go all-in on the woke culture in Hollywood. This is the dumbest, worst, it's just ... aw man, I can't even come up with a word that accurately describes how terrible this show truly is! Ruby Rose was freaking terrible, and the "I am wo-man hear me roar" nonsense was unwatchable. But now? Now we have this new character, and amazingly, SOMEHOW, it got even worse! When is Hollywood going to get it through their thick heads that fans don't want woke crap in their shows and movies?! Go woke, go broke! We want good, quality, believable (in the context of the show/movie) entertainment that doesn't degrade one sector of society in order to artificially prop up another sector! Star Wars is reeling from their woke ridiculousness! Stop doing it to DC!

Look, this is a teen show and I hate to bag on something girls might have fun with but... it's so extraordinarily bad that I feel even undiscerning teenage girls with the VERY lowest of low expectations can still do a whole lot better than this awful concoction of stupidity - 1 star

It failed because we want to watch a good show with fun characters and an interesting story. Not a weak push for a strong female hero. They failed because they didn't make a show about batwoman, they made a show about empowering women. You can have a good show with a black or female lead, as long as the point of the show is not that they are black or female. It was a bad idea, and it cost them.

This show is a beyond trash, it’s beyond filth, it’s putrid dookie, this defecation of devastation could wipe out an entire village of magic ninja. DC live action is just utter excrement. The Marvel Cinematic Universe died when Tony Stark snapped his fingers and will never live up to the greatess it had with robert downey jr and chris evans, so that’s got one foot in the grave, but at least they had an era. the only thing good to ever come from DC live action is the Dark Knight, and that movie still isn’t better than the Raimi Spider-Man. This show has nothing going for it, (except for Rachel Skarsten, who is sexy and talented, but she alone is not enough for me to even give this filth even a 1 rating) the characters are all morons, boring, unlikable, and as lifeless as my pet hermit crab in 3rd grade, all of the actors are complete talentless embarrassments (except for rachel)the writing is not even Dr Seuss level, because at least there a lesson to be learned from the cat n the hat, or green eggs n ham. There are so many plot holes that instead of homophobes, they need to be worrying about all the tyrpophobes they are triggering with this elephant diarrhea. I literally start itching and scratching my face and arms and nuts because this show makes no sense. The characters in this show have 0 development, and never learn their lesson. The MC only cares about herself, is completely hearltess and cruel, and constantly does villainous things, like gladly murdering people, with no remorse. She holds no value to human life she utter slaughters more people in cold blood than the texas chainsaw massacre with ZERO hesitation but she is supposed to be the next batman? who wrote this? They need to be thrown into Arkham, and suspended 9 feet in the air upside down by a chain. wearing a straightjacket, and one of those hannibal lecter hockey half mask things, facing the opposite direction from the door In the most secure padded cell with no windows or lightbulbs, on the secret bottom most floor, deep underground that has no button on the elevator, because this guy is BATshxt crazy. I wonder what is stronger, Posion Ivy’s lust for sex, or Kate Kane’s lust for blood. the camera work is disgraceful, it’s like some middle school kid trying to record a fight at the bus stop with his tracfone the way the camera is shaking around, and how weird the angles are. It makes my eyes pop blood vessels and throb, and catch fire, it makes my head spin and literally ache, I feel like i got hit with a concussion grenade. The director should be sued until he is wearing nothing but miss matched socks. Kate is an idiot who does just about everything besides shout “I am Kate Kane” into the heavens, to let her secret identity be known to the public. The character designs are all terrible, Batwoman has the most terrible bat suit in the history of anything Bat related and it’s not even up for debate, it looks like a porno parody outfit. they really thought they had daredevil level costume design with that one, but no.. it’s just puke. Whatever episode you’re on just know anything that happened 3 episodes ago...didn’t happen, because it doesn’t matter. Shoot, sometimes crap that happened 10 minutes ago in the same episode doesn’t matter, so scratch that, just think....nothing matters, it’s easier that way. I get so angry watching this waste that a clech my fist until my palms bleed. The writing is liquid fart sauce for people who have fricken whiplash or amnesia or short turn memory loss or something. Maybe all 3. The new trailer for season 2 isn’t any better. This retcon of a new character to take on the batwoman mantle is ****. Why didn’t they just recast Kate Kane? Now Alice (not only the best character, but the only character that even remotely came close to being anything that could even be considered a character) is completely useless. And it looks like this new Batwoman will be an even bigger serial murderer than Ruby Rose’s Kate, and Ben Affleck’s Batman combined, she’ll probably be terrorizing the streets of gotham like you terrorize the city of Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto. And it’s no thanks to Luke, the guy who will continue to get walked all over like a doormat the by this new Batwoman the same way Kate did, the guy who suddenly wants to be all “Batwoman doesn’t kill” when.....Batwoman DID kill... Kate DID Kill... and you know what he said to her? “Batman killed too, Joker’s not in arkham kate bleuuh” literally if you like this show, please stop watching comic book television, just shut the power off to your entire house, and sit in silence on the floor like spongebob during that one episode with that penny the pringle, and that used snot paper, because you have gone insane and don’t deserve the pleasure of fictional entertainment. I understand it is pretty political, less interesting, sloppy plot, well it is from CW, so we know how it will turn out, but Gothem has a charm for its own characters, and the bad guys are the examples.

This show makes no sense, the effects look like they are over 20 years old and the soundtrack is bland. Exactly whose idea was to make it quite this bad? You have to do this on purpose by now.

I watched the whole series. For those people who haven't seen it yet and are wondering if it's worth it, the answer is a big fat NO. This series is written awfully and 1/3 of the episodes are an insult to anyone who has even thought of working as a screenwriter. The acting is lacking, the special effects are gross and often insufficient. Narrative coherence (and logic in general) are almost absent. Even the soundtracks are ugly: repetitive and devoid of any semblance of originality. I think the best episode is a 4/10. The series as an average is around 2/ 10. For anyone who is a fan of Batman & Co. and hopes to find something pleasant and intriguing in this series, change your mind and avoid this TV series like the plague.

Season 1 was very entertaining. I love the characters, the storyline and the action scenes. The pilot episode is way too packed and isn't a really good start, but the show quickly gets better. Rachel Skarsten is one of the best villains in a long time and Ruby Rose does a good Batwoman. First I wanted to give it a 9, but since I see the many troll review and their hate campaign, it give it a 10.

I don't understand how this show is even being discussed to have a second season. The acting is just horrid. The best acting on the show comes from the main protagonist, and even she struggles. Ruby Rose was better as a deaf hit woman/bodyguard on John Wick. The fact that this is in the DC universe and so is an awesome show like Titans confuses me. Bruce Wayne was already shown in Titans. They can't even keep casting the same. Just cancel this show already. The fact that the critics gave it such high marks was a blinding alert on how bad it would be. And yes, I watched the 1st 10 episodes hoping it would redeem itself, but I realized I was asking too much.

I want to believe that this show is just not for me - not my demographic (mid-aged male). But the problem is i can't imagine wanting to allow my daughter to watch it either (at any age). It's just so.... uncomfortable.

Everything is terrible from the script to the acting. I don't know who this show was intended for but the CW must have money to burn on to cater to a market the size of a quarter.
