A phenomenal movie that everyone needs to see. It's pretty ridiculous that this movie is rated R, certainly not a rated R movie.

Propaganda for simpletons. Abortion is literally healthcare, even in a capitalist society like America. A reviewer compares abortions to selling hamburgers, as if anyone who's gotten pregnant thought nothing of it. Everyone loves babies! Good thing abortions are performed on embryos and fetuses that are pea-sized and indistinguishable from other vertebrates. Calm yourselves down.

I am 100 percent a pro-life Christian, so I love the messages of this film, but the dialogue was mediocre, the acting was blah, and the production of this heavy-handed drama was just unimpressive.

Low quality propaganda not deserving of being called a film. Laughable that it was made by two men who will never have to experience the choice of having an abortion

Why does some abortion movie has a rating of 9.5, it’s in no way better than godfather

Absolute disgrace of a film. Shocked how it was even put out there. Not even accurate to how these clinics are or the people that run them. What an attempt to shove your views at someone else without understanding. Believe what religion you want but this is not caring or showing compassion. Don’t watch this movie, let people decide for themselves. I’m sure it’s hard enough for women to have abortions without this kind of opinion being shoved in people’s faces in such a horrific way.

The truth about abortion is hard to view in a film. It awakes sleepy consciences.

Two things: 1. This film is nothing more than anti-choice propaganda. 2. Abby Johnson did not quit Planned Parenthood over an ultrasound; she was caught stealing confidential information.

1. Is this movie powerful? Almost all critics rate it 1 or 0 stars, while being best seller on amazon. It is so powerful they feel the urge to fight it. For me it was close to "La vita e bella" as emotion, but more powerful, with slightly less performance and budget. Less humor, but inspired from real life. 2. Is it pure propaganda? I'm afraid pure propaganda are these 'critic' reviews. How else can you call them when all they try to do is manipulate people into not watching it, at any cost? 3. Full of lies? When behemoth Planned parenthood puts its money to find any flaws, they will probably come up with something, even if that means childish remarks as fact x did not happen in day y, but two days earlier. For them this is enough to state that facts are not accurate, hoping once again to discredit the movie. You can actually check that this was their finding. 4. Can the critics be so biased? They seem to be accurate on most movies. Go check yourself. After seeing it, I was sure that any heart would be touched by it.

This movie tells the heart-touching true story of an Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director whose life was transformed when she realized the truth - that a child's life ends every time there is an abortion. I see it is on the worst movies of the year list here at metacritic - and I can only say thank you to the critics who helped it make this list as any attention is good attention -- and I hope more people see this excellent film. The critics only rated it negative because it undercuts their worldview and support for abortion.

Unplanned is a terrible movie, if you want to make a movie about abortion, that´s fine, but please don´t make it only propaganda with terrible performances and a terrible insight of what abortion can be. For me worst movie of the year by far.

I am pro abortion to a degree, and I certainly lean liberal on this (aside from later term abortions). I find it prettt gross that I can instantly guess what a movie's reviews are going to be based on the politics. A **** movies that allows liberal leaning people to enjoy a **** fantasy where they have the right ideas will always get at least decent reviews, even if its amateurish **** (see mohawk). I have no idea if this or other conservative seeming movies are any good but they will always be universally panned by the disgustingly biased critics. Im certainly more liberal than conservative but I belive art sululd be taken objectibely. This type of shut is why despite agreeing more with liberals...I hate them more than most groups in America.

I just watched #Unplanned. This image shocked me. The jacket I had on my knees was crushed by clenched hands and I could barely hold back a sob. Everyone in the room really experienced this movie. Bows to the creators. No more abortions.

I'm not a religious person. The creators of this film are very brave in the current political climate. This film takes a rebellious stance that you are simply not allowed to hold these days. It tells a great story about a woman who challenges her most closely held beliefs when confronted with the reality of abortion, while making emotional and logical arguments against the practice. It's not very often I feel anything at all at a movie theatre, but this got my feels going. Brooks Ryan's acting was so stale though that it almost took me out of the film altogether. It loses a point for that. Actually, they could have found better actors for most of the family members of Abby, so 2 points off. The rest of the cast were fine and believable. I would love to see more daring films that challenge the popular narrative we're fed on social issues such as climate change or men and women being different.

Movie that throws political correctness out the window. Excellent cinematography. The movie follows the true story of Abby Johnson and gives as true portrayal of what abortion is like.

One of the worst films of the year. A bizarre attempt to try to convince others that abortion is wrong, and I'm still amazed that they didn't scrap the film altogether. It is stillborn and just forgettable, something that a Pure Flix film shouldn't be.

Notice that the negative reviews contain critique of the METHOD the movie is used to push a message. Notice that the positive reviews are praises of the CONTENT of the message. Lots of 9/10 and 10/10s. But very little praise for the actors, script, character development, set design, direction, lighting, etc. What are all the points for? Who is rating this movie for political bias and who is rating this movie... as a movie?

From a cinematic standpoint, this movie is poor. The acting is somewhere between 'pornographic film' and 'daytime soap opera'. There are little to no redeeming qualities to this film. This movie will appeal to viewers looking for a film to reinforce their own ignorant and skewed vision of Planned Parenthood. I'm pro-life and this movie did not appeal to me at all. All of the 'facts' presented in this movie are easily proven false with very little research. In summation, this is a lazy and unimaginative work of fiction.

Finally, a movie that actually shows us how awful abortion really is and doesn't try to sugar coat the procedure. A refreshing difference to all the usual crap that usually comes out of Hollywood. A real story, based on real people. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie and will again. The book was even better. It scores a 10 from me.

This movie is exactly what you would expect it to be. Anyone that gives it a bad review is simply blinded by their own hate and unwilling to see reality. Great movie, REAL storyline and very powerful. A must see.

Never trust a paid critic’s (propagandist) review. That being said, it tugs at the heartstrings and shows the life long guilt mothers with souls have at aborting their child. Any mother happy they aborted their child is an absolute subhuman of a monster.

First, this film is nothing more than pure propaganda created by Anti-abortionists. The acting is sub-par, the story doesn't line up with the actual REAL FACTS from the real story, and the dialogue sounds as if it were written by an 11-year-old. Watch Shazam, it's closer to reality than this whatever this is supposed to be.

A highly disappointing comedy, even given the low expectations I had coming in for a Pure Flix production. A laugh track might have actually helped, but the hyperbolic plot, stiff dialogue and soulless acting condemned this to be a stillborn film from the start. Better production planning and science-based script ed would've nurtured this project into something viable.

Excellent movie. Those who diss it for being a movie that is pro life, what did you think it would be? Truly egregious that Hollywood cronies can only follow the views expressed in their political echo chamber. Props for the movie producers for taking the risk they did. As far as films go, the camerawork and direction were well done on the relatively small budget.

It's not easy to stand for pro-life values, or any Christian values at all... we are truly outnumbered and our opinion is not popular. We were told this would happen, yet we must continue our fight! We aren't here to win the approval of our fellow humans, god is the only judge we fear. 10/10 would watch logic and reason again.

This is a great movie. The movie give you some ideas when you go into the abortion room. What are you going to face. It shows some blood scenes. If you have heterophobia don’t watch. But you get to see the true circumstances. I do believe that every baby has their own spirit and personality. Each one of them is special and unique. Even the twins have the different DNA. Baby is innocent. You can decide to remove the baby. They just never have a chance to discover the beauty of love. Love is everything. Love never fails.

Well done and executed although it covers a very difficult and nuanced subject. A breath of fresh air from the usual platitudes of leftist holywood moralizing braindead movies where everything socially proposed by the left is presented as new divine revelation. Agree with it or not, this movie tries and succeeds to present a valid alternate view that has merit.

People who believe it is okay to kill children give bad reviews and say the good reviews are just written by right wing Christians. They choose not to discuss the innocent lives they are so against giving "rights' to. The films acting is not the greatest but the message for the voiceless is certainly there.

The only reason this film has such a low score by critics is the influence of Planned Parenthood on so many - $$$$$. Go see it and see for yourself.

The “User Score” in Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes is a joke. The 8+ score for this gigantic turd of a film is evidence of that. 95% of the positive comments appear to be coming from bored, lonely, illiterate right-wing internet trolls that have nothing better to do than overrate claptrap like Unplanned or anything produced by Dinesh D'Souza. Give it up morons. Roe v Wade is not going to be overturned. Your hero Donald Trump will go down in history as the least popular president in US history. I suggest you start praying for greater sanity instead of inanity for a change.

Keeping this short because I don't like too delve to deeply into highlights or criticisms with these types of films, but I just have to mention that these critics have zero credibility. The film is trying to tell the story of how someone changed their views on one of the most divisive issues in America, they did this more than adequately. The storytelling did seem genuine and the evidence is provided to support all the hypotheses. Let's just call it how it is, critics do not rate the quality of the movie, they are rating it based on the contradiction of their own views, it is absolutely abhorrent and they should not be taken seriously anymore. They did the same thing with Death of a Nation, keep your personal politics out of your writing, keep it objective, or let someone who can remain non-partisan do the writing for you. Oh and a nice fun side note, I'd say my views sit in the middle, and I am most definitely pro-choice, but unlike these critics, I am capable of listening to the opposing sides views and having open discussions without hiding behind a blue checkmark or fake title like "Journalist" or "Film critic", and review bombing because of my political beliefs. Absolutely pathetic.

I am Pro-Choice, but I don't know how anyone could give it a bad review. It was an awesome movie and the other side of abortion. Everyone should see it. I still think a woman's choice should be legal, but I also believe as a society, we need to be making better choices. There is no reason anyone should be having an unwanted pregnancy nowadays. We have so much birth control, men and women should be using it--doubling up on it, meaning both should be using birth control. Next, we shouldn't be having sex with anyone we wouldn't want to have a kid with. Bottom line--don't get pregnant and don't get anyone pregnant! Don't put yourself in a spot to have to make this horrible decision. Because, if you do and you make the decision to get an abortion? It's something you'll live with all your life. It's not a victimless crime on any level. It affects all. It's the baby that's missing, when you finally do have kids, and even with a good reason to terminate the pregnancy--the better decision is make sure you Don't Get Pregnant or make anyone pregnant! And if the only sure way to do that is to not have sex? Then don't have sex until you're willing to deal with the consequences of you having sex. It's not worth it! You'll carry it forever. It's life and snuffing it out, doesn't change that fact. Don't lay down, if you aren't prepared to raise a healthy happy, and well-adjusted person into the world. Abortion is not birth control. Just make better decisions instead!
