We've seen this kind of movie many times before. Let's take a somewhat known actor, in this case, Finn Jones, and put him in a generic horror movie that is as shallow as it is needlessly long. Bless anyone who actually managed to sit through this because they must clearly enjoy suffering.

The Visitor is a complete exposé of many of the general failures of horror movies in recent years. Everything you see here has been seen in countless films of that same genre and that's why it feels so exhausting and draining, because there's nothing that can be considered of any real interest. I mean I know I'm just speaking for myself, but how frustrating it has become to watch movies like this, when not even the simplest elements of its mystery fail to arouse your interest.
