The Princess

What makes The Princess so surprisingly fun is its commitment to a hooky premise.

From action director Le-Van Kiet, The Princess plays into well-worn genre subversions, but actually sees those subversions through for a satisfying effect.

It’s all eye-rolling, laugh-out-loud action nonsense, and often damned entertaining, another highlight of King’s ever-lengthening highlight reel of a career.

The action here, directed by Le-Van Kiet, is reasonably entertaining, but everything that’s hung on that skeleton feels remarkably thin.

For anyone wondering why "The Princess" is premiering on Hulu in the US, not sister service Disney+, the movie answers that in the first five minutes, when the title character brutally dispatches a pair of guards sent into the tower where she's being held. While the timing seems right for a princess who rescues herself, there's precious little substance to this violent fantasy, featuring Joey King figuratively letting down her hair.

Hulu’s dull and exasperatingly basic “The Princess” wastes a slew of talent on a straight-to-streaming cheapo so undercooked that it feels like an AMC psy-op designed to make you run to the nearest multiplex and beg for a ticket to whatever’s showing next.

The Princess somehow manages to be both under-written and insultingly obvious.

This movie was great and it **** its getting stepped on by people with nothen to say except that they don’t like to see a woman stabbing some nasty men in the face. Also its hilarious and made me cry so like yeah watch it.

The Princess is the story of a female John Wick set in the medieval. Even though it's a silly movie, I like movies full of actions, acting, and great shoots. Joey King will turn into a superstar in 10 years. She just needs to start working with the right names.

I found the action scenes quite nice, albeit unreallistic, but its just a movie so doesn't matter. Plot-wise though it offered really little as most of the movie was just one long action scene

at first i thought this was Satire or one of those movies made to make fun of a certain genre of film. but once I realized they were making a serious film here... I was like. WTF?! LoL. WoW. talk about drawing a line and jumping so far over it, you fall over a cliff.
