From a pure entertainment perspective, it is arguably the most enjoyable motion picture of the season. Sky High is funny, smart, energetic, subversive, and has a few substantive things to say.

Kurt Russell is adorably self-mocking as the cluelessly enthusiastic dad in his dorky superhero uniform, and even the spiffy effects lack self-importance. "The Incredibles" it ain't, but Sky High will do nicely.

How can you give this movie LESS than a ten. It has all sorts of fun humor, exciting action and cool super powers. Ten years after it's original debut, I am STILL playing with ALL of my friends as Sky High superheroes. I laughed so hard I had to pause the movie and take a 20 minute break, I came back with 34 of my friends (3 of which had to leave because they couldn't laugh any more.) I really enjoy their unique powers and the completely original bully aspect. Over all stellar movie and an instant classic, can't wait for the sequel!!1!!!!1

This film was here before the M?CU and was an innovative and entertaining take on how superpowers would be in the real world. Taking inspiration from some beloved comic books and integrating into the aesthetic, with colorful and amusing elements in every scene. Surprisingly good acting for such young actors too. This would have been great to follow up with a show or comic series and later a reunion sequel when they're adults. A cult classic film for sure!

For those of us who wish that John Hughes' "The Breakfast Club" had kept the cheeky tone of Hughes' "Sixteen Candles," what ensues is the best Hughes farce that Hughes never made about adolescent snobbery and heartbreak as well as adult obtuseness.

The supporting cast is strong, featuring Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce Campbell, Lynda Carter, and Cloris Leachman.

A slight but sure-footed, live-action comic fantasy.

The film is so harmless, and the young actors try so hard, that it's difficult not to have some fun.

This limp, forgettable fluff is as preachy and heavy-handed as the "Goofus and Gallant" cartoons that a generation of children far less media-savvy than today's recognized as ham-fisted lessons in good behavior masquerading as funny strips.

This is surprisingly deep and toys with cliches and stereotypes. Also has a really enjoyable story, humor and a good cast. Lets start at the beginning. It is the story of Will Stronghold who is the son of two superheroes and is a freshman in the Sky High school for people with super powers. Because he has not developed or discovered his powers yet he is cast in the Sidekick class. Now the story unfolds. It deals with a lot of moral dilemmas, what it means to be a hero or special. I stay this vague because of spoilers. I will say the characters and story are very well interwoven. There are good twists and reveals. The characters develop themselves and learn a lot what being a hero or even a good person means. There is a lot of critique or comments in this movie with side-blows to cliches. It works well and the humor is welcome. The cast does a great job and nails there roles. I like all the Sidekicks and find them charming characters. Bonus for the well paced final and resolve. Overall a well made superhero movie that is forgotten or flies under everyone's radar. Not everything needs to be an Avengers or marvel blockbuster movie

As far as kids films go, this superhero kids flick is a blast with fun to spare for both kids as well as their parents. Loads of wit and humor make this film worth the time.

Its probably the most formulatic superhero movie of all time but it has an interesting story and the characters are much better than they could have been.
