Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie is a visually clever, character-redefining film for the strongest of animated smart gals, Sandy Cheeks.

It’s not as inspired as grown-ups might want, but innocuous enough for the kids.

It’s all manically enjoyable, especially for the core demographic (my seven-year-old niece said she would give the film four stars). For general viewers, it may not pack as much of an emotional punch, but like SpongeBob himself, it’s thoroughly absorbing.

Kids liked it and it kept them entertained. So it delivered on what it needed to do. As an adult who grew up watching the original SpongeBob series, it's disappointing to see how uninspired this film is. It has none of the charm of the original series and no jokes that adults would chuckle at.

O filme é bom para crianças que tem pouco ou nenhum senso crítico. Em geral, o filme tem bons momentos principalmente se tratando sobre Sandy que tem uma parte realmente tocante e um tanto emocionante. A essência dos personagens continua quase a mesma, tirando o fato deles ficarem um pouco mais abobalhados em certos momentos. Esse longa metragem possui tanto partes 3d quanto de pessoas reais, preferi infinitamente mais a parte dos personagens 3d, porquê a atuação fraca dos atores junto de sua dublagem preguiçosa e efeitos visuais toscos realmente me faz pensar que é um meme de tão ruim

Very uninspired movie. The characters are presented in very disappointing way. And the story is kind of strange. Only a few funny moments.

I don't like this movie because the art design felt like a game, Mr krabs is so AI, and the villain is so creaping is not a great movie for a family but it has some funny stuff
