Home on the Range

Has a wacky charm and a feeling like no other Disney film in recent years.

The visual effects are lovely to behold, and the songs by Bonnie Raitt, Tim McGraw and k.d. lang are fairly catchy.

Any shortfalls in Home on the Range a conventional but perfectly pleasant entertainment, have more to do with the ABC's of storytelling than with the D's of animation.

Will best be enjoyed on DVD. You can pop it in for the kids and spend the next 90 minutes or so doing something else.

So udderly mediocre.

Isn't good satire or good slapstick. It does have those lyrical, catchy Menken tunes, and the film perks up whenever Raitt or lang sing one of them. But much of this movie is deadly.

Suffocatingly boring.

Nem que a Vaca Tussa não é um filme ruim, mas também não é um grande destaque dentro do catálogo da Disney. Ele tem uma premissa interessante, mas a execução não consegue torná-lo uma animação memorável. O visual é competente, mas não impressiona. A trilha sonora é boa, mas não marcante. Os personagens são carismáticos, mas não evoluem muito. O humor é leve, mas não tão **** final das contas, o filme acaba sendo apenas uma aventura legal, que pode entreter crianças, mas não tem o mesmo impacto emocional ou a qualidade narrativa de outras animações do estúdio. "Home on the Range" is not as bad a movie as much of the public says. But it is not unfair to consider it as one of the least relevant works ever done by Walt Disney Animation Studios, unlike what happens with "The Emperor's New Groove" and "Treasure Planet", which are considered underestimated.

Rushed with little to no character or story development with a boring soundtrack.

The quality produced in total from "Home on the Range" is probably Disney's worst in a while, as it does lack from originality and its simple, not any deep storyline. With its predictable parts it does lack much than anything, but its music and animation is nice so it doesn't deserve a zero or one. Well, at least Disney shaped up after "Chicken Little."
