SummaryBrandon Burlsworth (Christopher Severio) is perhaps the greatest walk-on in the history of college football. Brandon dreamed of playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks, but was told he wasn’t good enough to play Division I ball. Undeterred, Brandon took a risk and walked on in 1994. Written off by fellow teammates and coaches, Brandon displayed dogge... Read More

The movie’s length is excessive and its arc over-familiar, but for those who don’t mind a little sap — or a lot — Greater is effective.

David Hunt’s exhausting film runs over two hours and adheres to a kitchen-sink ethos of sports tropes and spiritual asides.

One of the best movies I’ve ever saw. Loved it!! The fact that it’s based on a true story made it even more interesting

Although I was in college during the same time Brandon Burlsworth was, I just now discovered him - due this movie. After I saw the trailer, I read up on Brandon prior to watching the movie. To be honest, I was not expecting much from the movie, but was I wrong. Everything was fantastic, the acting, the writing, the flow, everything was great. I think this movie pays great tribute to Brandon, and helps to continue his legacy. Two thumbs up.

The faith-based football bio-drama Greater fails on so many levels one scarcely knows where to begin.

An insistent, clunky sermon about triumph through faith, David Hunt’s film is so determined to turn its subject into a Christ-like saint that it loses any sense of him as an actual flesh-and-blood man, the result being a third-string sports saga only apt to play to its devout target audience.

This might be one of the most underrated sports movie ever made. A little on the religious side but that was this kid’s story. It may not be Rudy but Brandon Burlsworth surpasses all expectations and then some. I’ve added this movie to the 10 best sports films I’ve seen. And I’ve seen all the tear jerkers. Don’t base your opinion on this movie because 4 “pro” reviewers gave it a 3.5, if scores matter, check the user reviews. Again religion might as well been a character. If you are atheist or agnostic like I am, it sort of feels forced. But I can look past that because the story is true and amazing... Life is too short to sit through boring movies. This isn’t one of them.

This movie was way too long for the type of movie it was. It could have and should have easily been 30-40 minutes shorter than it was, the main characters acting also just wasn't all that great...

This is one of the worst movies of 2016. The best thing in the movie is the casting. Other than that, it's not remarkable at all. Bad voice acting, mediocre score, poorly written story, bad diologue, bad cinematogrphy, no subtlety at all when pushing its themes and message. The real events this movie is based on is interesting and good and the real person fate is sad,but this movie is horrible. If you like it, that's fine, but as a movie, its not art, it feels like a product. I don't reccomend watching this movie.
