With this film, Christian Zübert has succeeded in creating a thriller worth watching and intriguing, one that's in no way inferior to many Hollywood productions. It's exciting, well-conceived, with a good script, well-choreographed fight sequences, and an outstanding performance by Jeanne Goursaud. Everything that makes a good thriller. Of course, the question remains whether the entire scenario is even realistic. A question that always arises in this genre, however. In my opinion, Exterritorial ranks among the good films of this genre.

Exterritorial (2025) is a tense, action-packed thriller that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Jeanne Goursaud delivers a standout performance as Sara, a former soldier on a desperate search for her missing son at a U.S. embassy. The film is grounded in gritty realism, with intense fight sequences that stand out for their authenticity. While the suspense and pacing make for an engaging watch, the ending leaves much to be desired, failing to fully satisfy the emotional buildup. Despite this, Exterritorial remains a solid, well-crafted thriller, elevated by strong performances and a gripping storyline.

Without reinventing the genre, Extraterritorial delivers exactly what it sets out to: an exciting, well-crafted action film that holds your attention from start to finish. It's especially refreshing to see a strong, determined, and charismatic woman leading the story—not as a gimmick or statement, but simply because she’s the best person for the job. And she proves it in every **** plot strikes a solid balance between tension, mystery, and pacing. While the villain doesn’t break any molds—yes, he’s the classic by-the-book baddie—the overall narrative doesn’t suffer. Everything flows naturally, and it’s clear the main goal here is to entertain. And in that, it **** may not have any unforgettable scenes or jaw-dropping twists, but as a solid piece of escapist cinema, Extraterritorial holds up well. The action sequences are handled competently, there are a couple of genuinely effective moments, and the film stays on track even when the script wobbles a **** in all, it’s a movie that delivers a good time. Nothing more, nothing less—but done with energy and craft. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.

Ganz okay-ishe Abendunterhaltung. Ansätze sind gut und spannend. Etwas viel Logikprobleme und Handlungsstränge etwas weit hergeholt.

(Mauro Lanari) Modern action movies: when the plot is missing, there's a hand-to-hand fight, and when the fight is missing, there's a story written on toilet paper. Otherwise, how would the Oxford Dictionary have chosen "brain rot" as its last year's phrase? Well then, keep it up like this.

The plot is decent enough, and the main actress is quite convincing. It comes across as a 'made for tv' type film, and the crappy Netflix-type song at the end really grated on me .... why do they do that to films so often, it's awful! The Belorussian and the story surrounding her was unconvincing. The antagonist was bizarre and poor casting. Overall, an ok watch, though nothing special. I wouldn't bother again though.

Good action movie with okay-ish plot and convincing performance of the main actress. No comparison to really good cinema, but overall, one of the better streaming movies I've seen in the last time, and one of the better German movies, too.
