The similarities between Daddy’s Home 2 and last week’s release, "A Bad Moms Christmas," are striking. Not only are the two films sequels to successful first installments but they follow the similar template of bringing back the most popular elements of the first movie, stirring veteran actors into the mix, and finishing everything off with a big kumbaya moment.

Like the passable original, this formulaic comedy can’t stop teasing the possibility of a funnier, smarter movie being made with the exact premise, central conflicts, and stars.

This movie is perfect! Whole family really loved this (a rare phenomenon with teenagers). Had tears in my eyes laughing so hard. Perfect for Christmas-up there now with National Lampoons for us really. Loved the first movie but,for the first time, can say this one topped the first. The entire cast was honestly just perfect together-watched more then once easily. Need way more fun movies like this one.

Will farell and mark walberg always perfectly fit together in comedy movies and I totally enjoyed this one. daddy's home 1 was already funny, but with their own dads it's even more funny. Totally underreated. It's a 10 out of 10.

Daddy’s Home 2 wants points for exploring the ever-expanding family tree in a Christmas comedy, but it only barely succeeds. Lithgow’s delightful grandpa offers a welcome diversion from the madness, but those moments are as fleeting as the plate of cookies left out for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are a lot less fun this time around, paired with a fumbling John Lithgow and a stiff Mel Gibson as their overbearing fathers who stop by for the holidays.

A colossal waste of time and the moviegoer’s dollars. That’s the bottom line of Daddy’s Home 2.

Daddy’s Home 2 seems like just another cookie-cutter comedy, but its heart is in the wrong place. It’s mean-spirited and half-hearted, and more than that… it’s just not funny.

It should not exist, and the fact that it does is a slap in the face of anyone suckered into buying a ticket.

I really can't believe the low critic score. I know the movie isn't for anyone, but it's hilarious. I think all the actors work really well with eachother and it's just a funny and in a good way lame movie. Just sit back, don't expect anything and enjoy it. Great movie.

Daddy's Home 2 is one I would consider a mixed film but however it does have a ton of heart, wild entertainment and crude humour.

I liked the first movie a lot, and this one is good too, but just not as funny and exciting. The actors in my opinion were good choices, each person casted fit the character they were acting as. The story itself was pretty cliché, but it does have some twists, but not enough. It felt like a bunch of other Christmas movies put into one. I think the ending was interesting too. A lot of the jokes were funny also, but at times some weren’t funny. I recommend this movie overall.

When I think of Daddy's Home 2, I think of a string of words that comes to my mind in order to describe the movie: useless, unfunny, boring, inane, absurd, pointless, overly dramatic, poorly paced, and useless. There are one or two chuckles in this comedy, and both of them were from Mel Gibson's performance. This is a sequel and Christmas movie you can skip.

Ok ok I thought this was appropriate for a 10 year old. But I guess not. It was inappropriate and made me gasp in horror. The jokes aren't funny, the entire movie is a cringe fest. But, if you like horrible movies, by all means, check it out.
