No award winner, but at least it delivers the rubbishy goods.

Director Jack Bender films all this with enough style that Child's Play 3 never becomes overly boring or tedious, and there's some nicely timed tension and comic bits scattered throughout.

Most underrated film of the franchise hands down, Its the worst in the trilogy yes. and the film was rushed, clearly. but for me personally it brings a great time with the climax and has Chucky's best ending to this DAY. The OST of this is also very underrated. The setting of it isn't great but I can go with it, the ending is what really puts this movie high for me. 9/10

Noisy, mindless sequel.

Child's Play 3, directed by Jack Bender, misses the sharpness and dark humor that the director and co-writer Tom Holland brought to the original.

Chuck rhymes with bucks - the only possible reason to revive this poor excuse for a horror villain in Child's Play 3. [03 Sep 1991, p.5D]

Though this sequel is not nearly as violent as Child's Play 2, it's every bit as vulgar and preposterous, funny despite itself and vicious, too. It is, in short, of interest only to those too young to see it. [31 Aug 1991, p.E4]

Chucky the plastic slasher proves that his novelty value has long worn off.

This isn’t bad but it’s conceptually flawed and far less interesting than the previous two. The large time gap is off-putting. It’s actually a little boring especially compared to the incredibly paced previous two films. The tight act structure is replaced with meandering jump scares. Technically speaking though, it’s well made. I really want to go on the ride at the end. The ending is anti-climactic and rushed. I enjoy Chucky himself as always but the rest of the film is a bit forgettable.

Child's Play 3 tried different concept but that didn't work. This movie is neither enjoyful nor thrilling, as first two parts. Some of you may not love to watch this movie again. Movie is set after 7- 8 years of second part. There were neither shocks nor scares, as there were in first two parts. The acting was below average. The direction was weak, could have been better. The pacing was normal. But what made first two parts different ie blend of horror and slasher was missing in this part. Overall, the movie disappointed me a little bit but I will recommend it to those who have watched first two parts as it is in continuation.

I think the cast does a solid job and it can be funny at times but for the most part, It's just a recycle of the previous films and doesn't do enough to really be its own thing. It's not as outright bad as some of the later sequels but it's still nowhere near as good as it could have been.
