Xenoblade Chronicles X is bigger and better than ever on Nintendo Switch. The numerous quality-of-life upgrades and additions make the experience even more satisfying, and there simply is nothing like roaming the world of Mira inside your Skell. Jump in, get in that robot, pump up that music, and have a heck of a time doing it.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is the best iteration of Monolith Soft’s impressive open-world masterpiece. I’m so happy that the game is on a platform many people own, so they can finally experience the wondrous world of Mira for the first time, just as I did in 2015. Xenoblade Chronicles X is the most impressive execution of the open-world concept I’ve ever experienced, and the fact that it retains that lofty designation for me even after ten years and countless open-world RPGs is a testament to Monolith Soft’s monumental achievement in RPG game design.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is nothing but an exquisite return to one of the most ambitious games released in the previous generation. Now on the Nintendo Switch, it's more ambitious, more accessible, slicker and more welcoming than ever before. The successful audiovisual work has brought the 2015 original to our time where it fits perfectly, its enormous, varied and gorgeous world is a thrill to explore, the very dynamic combat system grips players from the first moment, and there's even an extra chapter that adds a new layer of challenge to the experience.

I loved this, the switch 2 upgrade made it even better. I found it a little slow in the middle, ii got stuck and felt like I grinded for far too long. Graphics and cut scenes looked beautiful, however after finally getting the chance to play FF7 on Switch 2, I found many elements straight up borrowed from that game, overall worth picking up

This game is a shining example of the poise, grace, and importance of our crustacean comrades. The Rise of the Blood Lobster side quest is ever present and is an important facet in building out Mira as a living breathing world. While part of the reward might not interest some (mainly swimsuits), it's more about the journey of finding all of the plush lobsters, carefully, and cleverly scattered throughout the story from Chapters 3 to 11. The finale of the side quest, presents an interesting dilemma, in that you must either submit to the narrative of defeating a malignant evil, or spare the enthusiast for your shared love of lobsters. No matter which route you pick though, you get to display your love for the majestic creature, in the form of figurines, which is the main reward for this quest. As such, no lower score can be given to this masterpiece. This will be enshrined in the hall of fame for all Crustacean kind.

I can’t get over how much I love this game. I really love the chronicles games in general but the world building, exploration, and the excellently done combat is all just too amazing here. I’m sure it’ll never happen because how do you replicate such an amazing feat, but I surely hope they can pull of a sequel in spirit at least to this game. The game without the mechs is Great fun, once you unlock them it’s like a new game got added onto an already amazing product.

Enriched with relevant content on Switch, the remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles X respects the direction desired by the series creator since its beginnings. It aims for the point of balance between Japanese and Western role-playing games by offering a dizzying world in its disproportionate excess and gigantism, like a permanent ode to discovery. This exhilarating immensity does much more than serve the game's narrative. It matches the perfect fluidity that connects the action and exploration phases to offer a tailor-made experience enhanced by an epilogue essential if we want to know the end point of the story.

Nintendo Switch welcomes Xenoblade Chronicles X, the missing piece of the saga. An immense open world where you can lose yourself for hundreds of hours and enjoy an intense science fiction story that hooks you from the very first moment.

I've had a difficult relationship with Xenoblade games in the past. They're enormous, unwieldy beasts that are weighed down with endless mechanical systems and floaty, disconnected combat. Somehow, all of this is applicable to Chronicles X, and I still love it. The combat feels more grounded, the mechanics more approachable, and the plot is more accessible. Plus, the custom outfits. Those really changed the game for me. Also, being able to pilot a team of mechs is a major bonus. Xenoblade games are still not for everyone. This is an imposing, enormous RPG series in every way. But against all odds, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is somehow the one for me.

Although it’s not the strongest entry in the series narratively, Xenoblade Chronicles X delivers a fantastic sense of exploration and a truly original mecha dimension to this unique single-player MMO-like JRPG world. The remaster doesn’t change much, but it ensures that the game finally gets the attention it deserves.

Xenoblade Chronicles X remains stuck in the game design of 10 years ago, padded with hackneyed dialogue, pinballing the player from silly quest to tired kill quotients. Sure, it occasionally surprises you with a stunning panorama or confronts you with a colossal enemy. Even then, though, it’s not long before you’re engaged in a repetitive combat loop where your attacks trigger automatically and your optimum strategy relies on approaching enemies from the rear.

A unique game that stands out from the others. A slow burn at first and admittedly NOT everyone's cup of tea. But for those who want to get lost in a world, explore and complete tasks and always have somwthing to do, this is a great game. Played the original on Wii u and loved the premise but bounced off around20 hours. The quality of life improvements are notable and well done. By simply exploring the world, gathering treasure, and completing quests as theh were convenient, progression was natural. Played every night in bed for s long time and the world felt like a wonderful escape. Again, not for everyone but it clicked for me and has been one of my favorite experiences in video games.

What the first game lacked in combat and exploration, this game more than makes up for. The world is simply stunning, especially considering the hardware, and the Skells make exploration much more engaging. While the combat system is similar to the first title, it feels significantly better, and I enjoyed it much more. However, where the first game excels is in its narrative, unfortunately that aspect is lacking here. The story and characters are largely uninteresting compared to the other games in the series. Not horrible, but they definitely do not hold up to the usual high Xenoblade standard. In the end, I would say I enjoy this game and the first equally. both have their strengths and weaknesses.

This gamehas too much filler. The combat also pales in comparison to the first xenoblade. What irritates me about this game is each quest has requirements that prevent you from accessing it, and to top it off, you have to complete even more normal missions which also have requirements before you can unlock them! This game is filled with filler also the story is poorly written and is filled with anti religious propaganda. I think its okay if a writer puts some his or hers views in a video game even if its not religious, however, if your putting propaganda in it to the point of getting people to denounce their beliefs, then that is going to far In my opinion, this game is wloke

Too many side quests. And no way of knowing which ones are worth doing and which are absolute garbage (spoiler: most fall into the latter). "Optional content" does not mean bad quality should be excused. If the majority of content is low quality, then it's a low quality game.
